Went in and walked to the counter. Kid (Jeremiah)at the counter rolled his eyes and walked off. Not sure why, but someone who appeared to be a manager asked him (jeremiah) to take our order. He didn't respond but a girl standing next to him said "he is on break" the manager walked off and Jeremiah slowly walked back to the counter and didn't say anything. We just walked out. Went to Zaxbys tonight and spent over $52 in the drive-through feeding my son my husband and my daughter-in-law and myself got home after I took a shower afterwards started eating the salad. I got 1/3 in eating it, looked close. There's a bug in my salad sitting sitting right top of lettuce that I was gonna put in my mouth. My son looked up the number we called, I talked to a very nice young lady, then your nasty (GM) manager got nasty with me telling me that I put the bug in the salad! One thing I'm not is a liar! I have never ever been so upset and so aggravated with this type of service from what you call a GM. This was at the goose Creek location, he was fussing with me in front of his employees calling me a liar that's something I do not do! As a woman of God and as a Pastoring since 1999. I was greatly disappointed disrespected as he yelled at me, still not listening to a word I said! I've been in Managerial positions on almost every job I had. He is not GM material! I say again, Somebody need to check this manager because he is not suited for management. My son is a shift manager at Zaxbys in Charleston and I've taught all four of my sons not to lie. I have been here a couple of times. Never had any MAJOR issues, but they always seem slow and the staff could be friendlier. I will say this: the guy that seemed to be doing their catering orders and helping with other stuff occasionally was very nice. Now the rest... We ordered and it didn't take long to get through the line. The cashier wasn't rude, but not super friendly either. We got our food in a reasonable amount of time and the order was correct. However, before even sitting down, I noticed a GIANT HAIR sticking out of my sandwich. It was not possible that it fell off of me or anything because it was embedded in the contents of the sandwich. I immediately took it to the counter to show them and they were like "what's wrong?" I pointed out the hair. Their response was "OK. we'll get you a new one." So I waited. A few minutes later, they give me a sandwich....but no fries. I was like..."uhh....it's a combo meal. It's supposed to have fries." They sent it back and had them put fries on it. That was the only time they ever said "sorry." They didn't apologize for the giant hair in my sandwich, but they did about leaving fries off the plate? No thanks. Under new management so the drive-thru has a very quick turn around time. The staff was professional and attentive. My wings were cooked to perfection! Crispy, flavorful and not greasy. The inside of the wings were well cooked, not dry and somewhat juicy. The sauce was outstanding and exactly what I expected in a spicy and hot chicken wing. My fries have always been hot, nicely salted, and crispy. Never greasy and never wilted or rubbery. Our garlic bread was a winner as well. Toasted, garlicky, mouthwatering buttery flavor and soft to the bite. The inside of Zaxby's was clean and packed with patrons (That's a good sign because nobody wants to eat at an empty restaurant, you never know what's lurking in that kitchen). The private parking lot was buzzing with customers, it was clean with adequate outdoor lighting and great landscaping. I felt safe walking from my car to the restaurant and back. Horrendous. That was my experience. Waited 20 minutes for my food, in the drive thru because the dining area is closed due to staffing issues, only to find out they didn't give me my sons order. So I tried knocking on the door, no answer. By this time there's double the drive thru line. I had to get back in the line, give them the missed order, then when I get to the window to pay, the girl has no idea why I'm back. The guy never put my order in AGAIN. So she took my order, and I finally got it. But, the cherry on top of it all was when we got home, the wings in the "missed" order, were ice cold. Zaxby's St James Ave has different price for different people kid's meal on kid's night, Tuesday. Me and my kids has been coming to this location for 2 years just about every Tuesday. We started out paying .99 for the kid's meal the 1st year. The last we have been paying 1.99 cause I was told the price charged. We always dine in. Three weeks ago, another customer order after we did, and she got 4 kid's meal at .99. So, last week I went through drive-through vs inside, and I received the kid's meal for. 99. This week we went back through drive-through and the cashier was unaware of the kid's meal special. I told him I had a receipt with the price and the manager was call to fix it. Needless, to say he didn't even after I showed him the receipt. He was rude and shake it off as if he was going to apply the .99 special, but when I look at my receipt it was adjusted to 1.99 vs.99. Then he proceeded to get into with the Cashier. We love Zaxby's and our little family night outting, but this left a bad taste for this location. read more

What a crappy place. I went here around 4:30pm on 12/27/22 and had a horrible experience. We ordered a 5 piece tender meal with a large sweet tea (the CO2 was out so they couldn't do any sodas) and an order of the white cheddar bites. I paid at the window and was told I needed to join the other 4 cars waiting in the parking spots because the food wasn't ready. No big deal, parked and waited. Waited for about 10 min and the food came out. I had to go in to grab my drink because they never brought it out. The girl at the front looked at me and then turned around to do what she was doing for a bit. Finally she acknowledged me and I just said I had gone through the line and never got my drink, so she made it. One of the cooks from the back saw me waiting and asked if he could get me started with anything, I told him I was good, SHE was helping me out. The other guy that was in the front very loudly and rudely said "SHE. She is literally the only girl here". I'm assuming he heard me incorrectly or just didn't hear me at all when I said "she". Just like he must have not heard me ask for an extra Zac sauce on my order that I never got... or the large sweet tea I had to go in to get... or the sauce for the white cheddar bites we never got. Terrible customer service and just in general crappy work done by the people handling the orders. Definitely need some extra training or to find another line of work. Also maybe suggest hearing aids for the one guy up front. Not sure if there are managers on duty or if it's just the Wild West there, but having worked 6 years in a much busier and much harder food service industry (not just fast food that's thrown in a fryer and boxed up) and full service restaurant experience I couldn't imagine how low your intelligence level or complete lack of training must be to mess up such simple things. read more

It's hit or miss. Today I went at about 11:30 am, ordered a chicken finger plate and a drink ($9.11), and the food came out within 30 seconds after I ordered. However, everything (chicken fingers, toast, and fries) were all lukewarm, and the chicken fingers were DRY. This was a really terrible fast food meal at the $9+ price point. The last time I went to this same Zaxby's a month or two ago, I had to wait a little while for the chicken finger plate, but everything came out fresh, hot, and delicious and the chicken fingers were moist and juicy. Same meal, totally worth the $9+ price point. My guess is it's a tradeoff for them -- either the food is slow and the customer gets mad at the wait, or the food is fast but the customer is mad at the quality. It's too bad that they don't ask when you order whether you'd rather have speed or good food. Me, I'd rather good food, especially if it's going to be expensive for what it is. read more

My opinion of Zaxby's changed over time. At first I thought it was to greasy but over time I realized that it was just right. This clearly grew on me like a fungus and I have grown to love Zaxby's. Their meat is of a decent quality and their Zax sauce brings it all together. It is a recipe that makes you scream for joy. They also serve seasoned fries that are delicious and not overdone. They are very crispy and never soggy. I prefer their Zaxby Club combo and their buffalo chicken salad. Both are to die for literally. This Zaxby's is a typical Zaxby's and does not lack in anything. They have the same flare on the walls. They have the same great tasting milkshakes and they have the same great quality in chicken. They have not yet let me down and I will keep going there for that reason alone. Zaxby's seems to be the home of no gripes and no disappointments. read more

We ordered food to go and when I got my wings, they were large and bloody. Not to mention, the other food was cold.
