If I recall, they were about three associates behind the counter working and ready to assist. During this visit we chose to use the kiosk that was located near the entrance to place our orders. The kiosk is pretty user-friendly and by the time we finished ordering a half sandwich with no additional drink or fries and another full meal with drink and fries it was about $38 and some change give or take play store orders sat down, waiting for the name to be called. This process seemed as though it took longer than anything else. As we waited, we noticed a few people would come in and pick up their orders to go, or food deliveries would be picked up or someone would visit the restroom while waiting on their water. Once we finally received our food re-proceeded to dine in as we chose on our receipt, but when we received our food, it was put into a bag. The sandwiches were OK as we may consider trying a different type of sandwich during a possible second visit. There is plenty of parking around this establishment as they share with a Starbucks and a department store store parking lot.

So service definitely varies from person to person. The quality of the meat is definitely better than the deli at one of the local grocery stores, as is the bread. But the same 6" sandwich there is $8.99, whereas here it's $12. I'm not entirely sure if the price difference justifies the minor upgrades, especially since the meat used is available in grocery stores, not some high end or gourmet kind. I don't know how chains get away with serving deli meat brands that anybody can buy at just about any grocery store. Maison is on the grounds near the main roadway that Appellation is on. They've got a bakery here, as well as a wine bar of sorts connected to it. The bread here is so fresh, soft, & good. We ended up getting 2 fresh loafs to bring back home. You can take your food and coffee and sit out back or out front. Tons of people I think stop in here to hang and get a quick bite and just sit outside and enjoy the weather and people watch. Nice place to hang.

The atmosphere is one of my favorite things about Maison. It feels relaxed without being overly casual and always makes for a nice lunch stop when we're in Lodi.
