Workers so friendly. Food was great to the taste and hot. I also added 1 Louisiana hot sauce to my Canes sauce as it gives it a little spice and even more flavor! Enjoyed my quick lunch time visit. Definitely recommend here!!!

They've all the bases covered: solid locale, quality food, and excellent customer service with heavy doses of "Nebraska nice." (#1) This location is in the heart of downtown Lincoln. It's large enough for big groups and they have a bustling staff to handle the weekend crowds. During football season, this place is packed during home games and weekend evenings. Long waits are not uncommon and the college crowd presence is definitely felt. When it's not busy being packed, it's usually a clean and super bright spot for the casual diner. As per usual, the food is fabulous. The fingers, fries, Texas toast, and Cane's sauce are on point. There are no regional specialties that I can spot on their overly simplistic menu, but I would venture they are perfect for a tailgate outing. A big shout out to their self-serve fountain drinks station, especially the sweetened iced tea. _________ (#1) This is totally a thing.

Long tables and metal chairs I had reqyested for less sugar for my milk tea. But it felt like full sugar and was very sweet. Lavender taste was not bad. I ordered a banhwich that had pork pate and pork roll. Ingredients were fresh. It took awhile to come out. The bread was delicious and the pickled vegetables were good. Only gripe : too little meat and a lot of soy. Overall decent for the price - worth a visit

I've been looking at that yellow can since 1981 and telling my dad that I'll go there someday -- I still haven't gone but the memories that the yellow can invokes is quite heartwarming. I had the #20 pork belly sandwich. I mean, of course, I had the pork belly sandwich! You may have told your friends and family, and maybe even coworkers, that you had a Vietnamese sandwich but you actually haven't had THE Vietnamese sandwich until you've the pork belly sandwich. This isn't the kind of sandwich you normally get at tourist stalls in Vietnam. The pork belly sandwich is usually made by some auntie who cares enough about your existence to make you that sandwich at home. The sandwich is flavorful and comes with a crapload of pickled daikon and carrots. Cucumbers and Jalapenos are a plus. If anyone tries to sell you a Vietnamese sandwich without cucumbers, get the FUCK OUT OF THERE. I thought the garlic mayo was a bit salty and overpowering, but that's just me. Oh, the fried eggs is a big fucking plus. I had the Vietnamese iced coffee with boba. The coffee is very good, and I like that they didn't try to cut the condensed milk with heavy cream etc. Service was quick and very professional. I asked a dumb question about raw onions and they took the time to assure me that there won't be any raw onions. That's another thing, if anyone tries to put raw onions in a Vietnamese sandwich, get the FUCK OUT OF THERE!!! There's a really cool outdoor seating area where you can enjoy a quiet meal listening to the sound of cars driving by. I'll definitely be back!
