Excellent. Love the paper packaging and no plastic philosophy. The chicken cheese steak is still the best.

I only got the junior meal and that forced me to get 2 corn dogs and then 2 wraps and it was SO. MUCH. FOOD! and then we got the fresh banana milkshake on top which was delicious. Definitely worth a try if you're not from the area but not great for health for sure

I had come back on a late flight into RDU, and on my way home found myself hungry. Not many options this time of night in our area, and a Cook Out Tray just sounded great. So I pulled off of 40 and took a ride into Chapel Hill for this on-campus Cook-Out, appropriately decorated with all the proper blue. Easily 15 cars in the drive thru, but I think I was through it with hot food in around 15 minutes. My burger was cooked up perfectly, topped well, and hit the spot. The corn dogs were crispy outside like I like them, and I didn't have to ask for that. My Oreo mint shake, creamy and tasty as usual. The attendant at the window was friendly, and generally, it looked like the employees were having a good time in there while remaining busy. Good to see, as I feel like most of my Cook Out runs in recent memory felt like pulling teeth with whoever was working.

My husband had essentially the BLT plus avocado and turkey and I think that was even better. Could do with some fries instead of chips though . Coconut cake was also delicious! I can totally see myself enjoying a cozy soup and hot sandwich on a brisk fall evening with some live music under their string lights.

Merritt's is a place on my list (and my mother's) for a while, and now we have a chance to visit. We made small talk with the staff. They were thrilled to learn my mother bookmarked this place when she worked at UNC Hospitals some years ago. The staff treated us well. They call out orders by name, so listen closely for your name. It was too hot to eat outside, though I imagine their bamboo patio out back will be delightful to sit at in the cooler months. The inside tables along the window have a view out to the street. There's a display case featuring fresh made desserts and other sweets worth checking out. I loved the fresh tomato, lettuce, and crispy bacon on this sandwich. I'd enjoy coming back, though I think I'll take my sandwich home next time. BLTs are the specialty here, and they do a great job making them.

It's been named best cheeseburger in America according to Food and Wine and I agree! Delicious. The rosemary crinkle fries are crispy, and full of flavor. Even though there was a lawn concert going on, which meant it was going to be crowded, I managed to parallel park on a side street. The inside is incredibly small, maybe 7 or 8 indoor tables and a counter against the wall with 6 or 7 barstools. They do have some covered seating outside though. I ordered a double classic burger, medium. I never expected that it would take 30 minutes, but it did. With a drink, my total was about $21. So since I would have to wait longer than I anticipated, I got an Arnold Palmer and walked around the area for a while. Alcohol is available if you want. Draft beer, canned beer, bottled beer. I think they had some seltzer as well, but not totally sure about that one. Once I came back from walking around the horseshoe, I grabbed a stool. I liked the wall decor with the license plates from various states. The staff brough the burger to me and I have to say it was quite big, especially since I spent the $4 for an extra patty. The burger was closer to medium well, it was mostly gray inside, but it was still juicy and that's all I really cared about. American cheese was decently melted. The potato roll was wonderful. Veggie toppings were fresh, which I always appreciate. I Though the wait was rough, it was a tasty burger. I might have to try the smashburger one of these days. Or the turkey burger, that looked really good too.

Food: 4.5 Location: 5…read moreInside/seating :5 Service: 5 Overall value: 4 My spouse and I came here for lunch as we were in the area, and it was recommended. I had the BLTA sandwich with french fries and Dijonaise on the side and my spouse had the sausage, egg, and cheese breakfast burrito with home fries. We also each got different sodas from the cooler area. The total for two lunch entrées and two canned sodas was about $40. I feel like this is pretty high relatively speaking for a sandwich and fries, and a breakfast burrito and home fries + two canned sodas, which is why I gave the overall value a four. However, the breakfast burrito, home fries, and regular fries were AMAZING. Probably one of the best breakfast burritos I have had in a really long time, and the home fries were crispy and well seasoned. The sandwich I had was pretty good, but nothing super special, and definitely not worth $16. I didn't particularly care for the Dijonnais, but that's just personal preference and glad I had it on the side. The restaurant itself has ample parking and is easy to find. It has a lot of seating, as well as lounge type seating for the breakfast/café crew and people who might be coming to do a little bit of work. You order at the front and they give you a number and bring the food out to your table. Everyone we interacted with was friendly and kind. The restaurant itself was clean. Overall, I would probably give this somewhere between a four and a five, but I do really love to support Local and I could tell this place probably makes a banging coffee drink and had delicious looking desserts, so I went with a 5. Unfortunately, we live between 35 and 40 minutes away, so we likely won't return, but if we find ourselves in that area of Chapel Hill, I would consider stopping in for another breakfast burrito!
