Stopped by Jersey Mikes today with my kids. I ordered a bowl with roast beef, turkey, and a generous mix of vegetables. I am raising my review to four stars. The service has been much better than my initial visit. You are greeted as soon as you enter the store. The workers ask "how is your day", etc. to keep the atmosphere pleasant and engaging. And they keep the place neat and tidy. Sandwiches are decent. Smaller Jersey Mikes than the one in Parkland. It was congested and frustrating trying to squeeze thru the tables and ppl standing around waiting on their orders. I ordered inside and it was so loud that I kept repeating my order and they still messed it up. The loudness came from the employees shouting amongst themselves and not listening to the customers. I tried correcting them several times but seemed unsuccessful so I gave up. Very frustrating. The positive is....they had bread and it was soft and fresh and the place was pretty clean. Unfortunately, likely our last visit today after being long-time customers, so I cannot recommend this location. Reasons: 1) a few weeks ago they got a pick up order wrong, and when we called them they said they had run out of the bread we had chosen - Hey, call the customer BEFORE you substitute, maybe? 2) Manager apologized about the prior mistake and promised a free sub, but when we came today, nope, sorry, that manager, Jordan, isn't in, so, no; 3) We asked when Jordan would be in, and the young lady serving us said that she could not divulge that info (sensitive classified State secrets, I guess) 4) 2 kids served us this evening, a young man and young lady, and she gave us about 1/2 the usual amount of cheese on our veggies, and was literally the most sullen humorless person I've encountered in Florida. The sandwich looked good, as it always does. Their tea is always great too. However, I was only able to barely put an inch of tea in my cup because they ran out. I asked if they had more, they said I could put sugar in the unsweet, but said they would not make any more because they would be wasting it. You are not wasting it, I paid for it! I just got my money back and left. So I guess they wasted a sandwich and their tip because they wouldn't make any more tea. This was 640pm on a Thursday. My coworker picked up our subs for lunch at work today. I'd ordered mine online, a club sub, which is turkey, ham, and bacon. What I received was roast beef, turkey, and a few crumbs of bacon, a strange combination indeed. Luckily, I like roast beef so I ate it, but it tasted funky. ATTN ALL CELIAC And others who avoid gluten! Jersey Mike's on Gliades has amazing hot and cold subs on gluten free bread. This is a tremendous find especially for parents who are afraid when they send their kids out to eat with their friends when they are gluten intolerant or celiac. I am a genetic celiac and I just ate a ginormous Philly cheesesteak on Udi's GF hero bread, and I am in heaven. Just don't get the meatball hero because the meatballs are not GF. In a world with the Publix sub right around the corner, Jersey Mike's is just no competition. On almost no level does this place measure up to anywhere in the sub category. The bread for the subs is so soft and flavorless it really adds nothing the sub. It actually hurts it because when you bit down their is no crunch, it just is all mushy. Especially if you add oil and vinegar which just make the whole sub soggy. Similar with the Roast Beef, I just don't find much flavor in the meat, it tastes very bland. Compared to a Publix sub, this is basically a poor substitute. Their hot subs are easily the worst items they offer. The meatballs are small and flavorless, and their sauce tastes like something that comes out of a jar they bought at the supermarket. Also their cheesesteaks are not a Philly Cheesesteak, steer clear! Bottom line, I've never had a sub from here and enjoyed it. The pricing is pretty standard, nothing out of the ordinary. This location has a sterile look that makes it look generic and boring. They have the deli cheeses and meats behind a glass to make it look fresh when they cut it. Honestly. This jersey mikes is not good. The sandwich is okay but every other jersey mikes I've been too is better. My bread is stale. You know what the guy did that I think was gross? He had a small piece of wheat bread, he sliced the meats for my 2 sandwiches, and then the left over stuff that fell off the slicer, he took that small piece of wheat bread and wiped off the excess meat and cheese from the slicer, he wiped it off on the ground and then put the piece of Wheat bread right back with the other bread. He did a great job when I asked for extra turkey I think it's more then double. Otherwise the bread is pretty stale, edible but uncomfortable. Ambiance is okay, they're just not very friendly. Not too shabby! This was the first time I've had Jersey Mike's in a long time, and I can honestly say it was pretty enjoyable. I preordered my sub online which was easy, went into the shop and it was right behind the counter ready to go. The sub was super tasty and the only problem I had was the bread wasn't as fresh as I'd like. I also ordered the brownie, and if you aren't watching your figure then it's not a bad snack after a sub. The only problem I have is the online ordering setup with Jersey Mike's. First, I don't like how you can't create your own sub, and how when you customize a sub you can't add specific ingredients. Maybe you can, but briefly looking over the sight it didn't seem like it was an option unless you wrote in the "notes" tab. Also, the time frames for Jersey Mike's are a little strange. If I wanted to order ahead, the next available time was a 1/2 hour ahead; when you choose "ASAP" it says allow 20min, but when I ate my sub it was a little soggy which means it was done well before that time. I have to admit that I eat a lot of subs as they are fast, convenient, tasty, and better than McDonalds. I now prefer Jersey Mikes over Subway as the subs are just better. Unfortunately I didn't like this place at all. It's only my second time eating at a Jersey Mike's Subs. I had the Baja chicken wrap and it was no bueno! The chicken was pre packaged and straight out of the freezer. I watched them cook it on the grill. I wouldn't expect more from a fast food sandwich shop, but when I bit into the chicken I had to hold back from spitting it out. It tasted like it sat in the freezer for a very long time. I was shocked to find that none of the employees at Glades Road shop were wearing masks. When I questioned it, they said they were all vaccinated and did not wear masks. I said they should wear masks anyway and was told that no, they didn't wear masks. I left and sent an email to Jersey Mike's headquarters. Always had great experiences at Jersey Mike's. Went to the store and noticed the lettuce was brown, the cheapest thing on the menu. And we pointed it out to the counter person all they could say was that's all we got. Now we all know there was more lettuce in the back five guys up front just too lazy to cut it. Came here starving! The store has an aroma of a smells and draws you in when you open the door. First time at this location. The front person was very kind. I had questions about the size of each sandwich and he was able to show me the small, regular, and giant so I had an idea. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak and asked him if I could have only green peppers instead of their pepper mix and he had no problems adjusting the order for me. I have been going to Jersey Mike's for the past seven years, I love the one on your Yamato road, the one on powerline Road is amazing as well. I just left the one at the Somerset Plaza and I have to tell you I've been very disappointed. The manager there is such a jerk it's not like he's giving me the sub I'm paying for the sub. I asked that he not give me the butt of the roast beef and he argued with me! If someone asks for rare not well done then give it to them!! LIKE SAID IM PAYING FOR IT!!
