The food comes out fast, and the food is what you would expect from a drive-in style burger joint from yesteryear. The original location is near Georgia Tech and is huge. It has a retro feel without feeling old. I got a bacon double cheeseburger with fresh cut fries. The food was good and beyond cheap. The have chili dogs, onion rings and shakes as well. Cool place, good food but nothing that will amaze you.

The look, the signage, the old-school feel, all of that is part of the charm. That said, the entire restaurant feels like it is overdue for a refresh. Not a redesign. Just a cleaner, more polished version of what is already there. Keep the character, keep the history, keep the nostalgia. Just make it feel cleaner and a little more cared for. The food itself was pretty underwhelming. Nothing was especially BAD, but very little was memorable either. For a place with this much history and reputation, I expected more. I'm glad I checked the box. I guess I understand why people come here, and I understand why it matters to Atlanta. For me, though, this was a once-and-done experience. Glad I went. No real desire to go back.

He took the time to patiently explain all of the options to my mom and sister, who were visiting for the first time, and made us all feel right at home. The bacon cheddar grits were delicious! They were perfectly creamy, and seasoned so well that they were unforgettable! Every bite of our meal was fantastic. Between the exceptional food and the top-notch service, this was a wonderful dining experience. We will definitely be back!

We got the pimento Mac and cheese cups, some miller lites, and the peach cobbler. The Mac and cheese was amazing, definitely a must try. The peach cobbler was good but the filling tasted like it was canned and the crust wasn't crispy. Next time I come by, I'd definitely want to try their banana pudding. The employees working were super nice and helpful. They were quick to take our orders and brought out our food very fast. I also liked that they had a combination of indoor and outdoor seating, this seems like a fun place to grab a drink with friends.

We were ordering takeout so she told us to walk around the side to the bar to order there. The seating area is large with mostly tables and a few taller long tables with stools. There is also a limited amount of seating at the bar. The ambient noise was a bit loud and would be expected to be even higher when crowded, but overall what would be expected from a bar area. The bartender was very friendly and efficient. I had received a menu from the hostess so was able to quickly select what I wanted. The food took less than ten minutes to arrive. The Taco Trio special allows you to select almost any three tacos and a side for a reduced price. My selections were the Baja Taco with fish, the Spicy Santa Fe with chicken, and the Southern Comfort with chicken. The selected side was the Baja slaw. The Baja taco is what would be expected. The Baja sauce is nice and the fish was cooked properly, soft and flakey. The Southern Comfort was surprisingly good. The chipotle bbq sauce was a great addition and added a lot of flavor. The best of the trio was the Spicy Santa Fe. It was essentially the Baja on steroids. The chicken in both tacos was moist and flavorful. The Baja slaw was a massive disappointment. It had almost no flavor other than shredded cabbage. There was no liquid residue in the container, so this was either unmixed before pulling my portion, or it is prepared this way. Either option is very disappointing, especially when it is obvious they are able to prepare a good Baja sauce. Still, the tacos are fresh and flavorful, the price is right (just over $16 for the trio special), and the service friendly and efficient. They even have some arcade games in the entrance near the hostess counter. It can be a decent place to spend some time and eat some good food.
