Jersey Mike's is a chain, as we all all know. The staff here was very friendly and down to earth. I got the #8 toasted, that is my go to for a quick fix. It was nice to have it toasted versus cold. At a previous Jersey Mike's the staff wouldn't toast my sandwich (in California). Here no such issues! Cash/Credit/Debit are accepted here. read more

I decided to try this place as I heard they have gluten free. I was charged $23 for a gluten free sandwich. They forgot all the toppings, bacon, cheese and the sauce. So they put chicken on it and that was it. I took one bite and it was dry and gross. I chucked the whole thing in the trash. What an expensive waste. I'll never go back. Once was definitely enough. I've never had a bad experience here. I'm giving 3 stars because I catered a large order here awhile back that cost around $750 and the price per sub was ridiculously high. But the I prefer the quality of their subs over their competitor, so I went with it. read more

I stopped in today, planning to grab a sandwich to take back to my hotel. The chaotic scene that I encountered upon entering the building was shocking. There was a line that wrapped along the counter, around the room and back to the door. The staff behind the counter was feverishly trying to do everything at once, and it didn't seem to be working out for them. The lady manning the meat/cheese slicer, and who would take the orders and start making the sandwich was madly slicing meat for what looked like 6 or 8 sandwiches set out on the counter in front of her. She was not wearing a hat or hairnet and was constantly wiping the sweat off her head with her sleeve. And I mean constantly. That kind of grossed me out. Then I saw her piling meat onto a sandwich, only to come back to that sandwich seconds later and take some of the meat off to put it on another sandwich that she was working on. I have no idea how she was keeping track of it all. After she finished a sandwich with meat and cheese, she'd slap the order ticket (the paper that she had written the order on) right on top of the meat, put the top layer of bread on and slide it over to the guy that took care of the veggies. I stood there watching this in awe. I couldn't believe what I was looking at. After standing there in a line that wasn't moving for way too long, the guy that mans the "Mike's Way juice" accidentally lost control of his bottle and it shattered on the counter. One sandwich that was sitting in the queue was thrown away, and another one was simply moved out of the way while the broken glass was picked up and thrown away. The counter was given a single swipe with the towel, I guess to clean up the juice and any small glass particles that remained. One swipe isn't good enough. I had seen enough at this point, and turned around and left. Went to Subway down the street and got a sandwich that wasn't madly thrown together in a frenzy. This place is a sloppy, unfocused mess, and the staff seemed incapable of working under a little bit of pressure. read more

Descent sandwiches. Prices are a little high but they offer uniformed services discount which is a win. I was happy with the #9 Michael's Way. Great taste, tough to go wrong with bacon or vinegar and with both your into something riské. Place is very clean and the food is much more fresh than Subway who claim to eat in such a manor. If their cookies were as good as Subway I'd def strive to be a regular patron. I tried Jersey Mike's 2 months ago and my addiction is now full blown. I order food "to go" at least once a week. The employees now remember my face and they always give excellent customer service. Because of this I don't mind paying the suggested tip when I swipe my debit card. They have a points system and Monday's you get double points that add up for free sandwiches. The more points you have, the larger the sandwich can be. I have enough to order a large I think. That's the equivalent of two adult subs. The meat and cheese is sliced so thin and the bread is flaky and perfect. When my hubby forces me to eat subway I verbally compare restaurants and complain. It's can be a pricy little habit but I'm happy to spend my money there than anywhere else in town. Do yourself a favor and give it a try ASAP read more

The people at this Jersey Mikes definitely don't know what they are doing. Chaotic ordering process, sub par food, and they accused my niece of stealing a bag of chips (she was eating my wife's chips) even after dropping $50 on their crappy food. I'm sure jersey mikes in any other city but Altus is great. One star because the manager gave everyone at our table a free chocolate chip cookie after her staff accused me of stealing. For a small chain sub shop, Jersy Mike's Subs does an excellent job of making a great sub. I am from the northeast where in the older days, there was a sub shop or two or more in every town. That was back in the days before Subway came along. The subs made at Jersey Mike's kind of bring back the memories of those sub shops back then. They do not skimp on ingredients and the bread always seems to be fresh from the oven. I have never received any meats or vegetables that tasted old or near its shelf life. The entire crew is nice whether you are their only customer or part of a long line. I do enjoy using their website to order ahead and have never had to wait because the order was not ready regardless of how busy they were at that time. They have a good large menu to choose from including hot sandwiches. read more
