Six months later, when we were finally ready, we coordinated everything with Laura, and the timing couldn't have been better. I was first told the technician ran the furnace for 10 minutes, then later that he ran it for almost an hour, and now I'm being told it was 48 minutes but they round up. These explanations cannot all be true, and the constant shifting makes it hard to trust what actually happened. When I arrived shortly after the technician left, the furnace was running with no heat, the same intermittent failure pattern I've been dealing with all week. Nothing was diagnosed, nothing was resolved, and the system was left in worse condition than before. When I spoke with the supervisor, I was offered a return visit -- but only if I paid another service fee and hourly rate. The suggestion was that "we can watch the furnace all day," but at my expense. Meanwhile, I was already charged for a full hour even though the technician was reportedly there for 48 minutes. If they're rounding up, it raises the question of whether I'm entitled to the remaining time I paid for. At this point, the pattern feels less like a repair‑focused service and more like a replace‑the-unit operation. When a company can't keep its story straight, doesn't follow through on basic communication, leaves the equipment still failing, and immediately pivots to more charges or the implication that replacement might be the next step, it's hard not to feel like the goal is selling a new furnace rather than fixing the one I have. The system worked great until the incredibly damp and cool spring when the AC was having real trouble dealing with the humidity in the house. But Faszold--and its mother ship, Classic Aire Care--kept sending out a couple of stellar technicians to check and adjust the system until they got it right. And this was warranty work--we did not pay for anything as they tweaked settings and made the system work in our home. Anthony and Steve are true problem solvers as they continued to address individual parts like the thermostat and fans and they finally got it all worked out so that the system is able to keep our house below 50% humidity. It was a frustrating time but the company has been responsive and supportive. Mike Faszold was also amazing and continually answered my calls and texts during both pre-sale and after install time. This company stands behind its installs and comes through on its promise of good customer service. Check around but believe what they tell you.

I appreciated the honesty! He had to leave to get a new circuit breaker and came right back to replace it. I'm happy with the service - prompt and courteous - but I am not thrilled with the high cost. The service call was $89 and a new circuit breaker should cost only $20-$30. I was charged $331.50 total, which I've been told by neighbors is very, very high for such a simple fix...Oh well. At least my furnace turns on now.

Being new to the midwest, I was not very familiar with heat pump systems. There was water leaking from the unit and I filed a claim with my home warranty service who matched me with New Systems AC and Heating to complete my claim. Being new to a city, in my experience at least, home repair service companies tend to be hit or miss especially when you are under a warranty who only have select companies who they choose to contract with. I can't express enough how please I am that we were paired with New Systems AC + Heating. Our tech, Joe really went the extra mile to explain to me how my system worked and answered every single one of my questions that I bombarded him with. He was thorough, worked hard and gave helpful advice/tips on ways to best run the system to maintain its high performance and extend its longevity. In fact, I was so impressed with the service, I called the company after the tech left to let them know how outstanding i thought there tech was and I am not one to usually do that. Their receptionists are also very chipper and upbeat and very accommodating to any needs or requests I have made. All in all, a very impressive company that was knowledgable, provide good work, go above and beyond for their customers and are fair and honest. I've used No Problem Heating and Cooling for well over a decade and seriously, I swear by them. I had a problem a decade ago and they took care of it quickly so I got the club membership that gets them to come out twice a year to clean the system and see if it looks like we are headed for trouble. And if I have a problem I get ahead of folks who it's unclear whether they do maintenance. Until this year, they only recommended small things be replaced so yeah in January we did the whole system replacement. They gave me options and let me make a truly informed decision with real numbers, etc. I have rarely had to call between check ups, but yesterday something was off and the cooling just wasn't doing it's part so I called & left a message on a Sunday of a holiday weekend. Within an hour or so, I had a text from Mindy (she keeps things moving I tell you!) saying they see there is a problem and they will be in touch first thing in the morning. Here I am less than 24 hours later with a fuse replaced and no worries. Mindy is great about working with me to schedule something that fits my calendar. I get reminders on appointment times and a text that tells me the tech is on the way -- heck you even get a photo, name, etc so you can talk to them by name and know whether this is the same tech as last time, etc. Pics are from past visits cause Mike was here, had it taken care of and gone so quick I never even thought about it.
