My furnace stopped working and I called Harster after reading the other reviews on Yelp. The receptionist was very nice and she had a technician out in less than 2 hours. I ended up needing a new system, but two of the nicest and most informative technicians came out the very next day and completed the work. They talked to me about the system and what I can do to maintain it. The price was fair and what they quoted originally did not change after the work had been done. The original much more critical 1 star review is below and it is all still very true but they have as of mid August 2025 rectified some of their errors by honoring repairs and warranties that Amana refuses to honor. Does that completely erase all the errors that have been made along the road? Honestly no they do not, but I appreciate that they are currently doing their best to repair what was wrong. They very well might be a very good company but my wife and I's recent experience has been rocky at best. Update to a 3 -3.5 star rating. THIS IS THE ORIGINAL 1 STAR REVIEW. : Based off of positive reviews on Yelp and Google my wife and I chose to buy a new HVAC unit from Aireserv Eureka in August of 2024. In no less than 3 MONTHS our unit broke down, something was literally smoking, due to a failure to install the unit properly. Then in March of 2025 we discovered that they installed a unit that for natural gas, which we do not have, instead of propane WHICH THEY SHOULD HAVE KNOWN SINCE THE PIPES ARE APPARENTLY VERY DIFFERENT. So yet another overhaul was made. Then in June of 2025 we started to notice the coldest we could get the house was 75 degrees. So we called for another checkup and they "supposedly" fixed it, saying it had been improperly calibrated during installation. But one month later, in July, our unit broke down AGAIN. This time completely, leaving our house in the 90s. Now as I right this in August of 2025 THE HOTTEST PART OF THE YEAR they have yet to fix my unit. Week after week, yes you have read that correctly, it has been weeks since we called them to fix our unit, we have had to call them over 20 times. So far we are at week 3 and moving soon to 4. Airserve Eureka's horrible service has so far consistented of misdiagnosis, instillation of wrong parts, incorrect calibration of the unit, and long waits (4+ days) while a part ships. They have given an excuse for everything, always blaming someone else (Amana). According to them, none of this is their fault. They are playing the victim of corporate manufacturing. But, why would you want to reach out to a company who has no control over the services they offer? We then said, since there are so many issues with my unit from the start and I am still under warranty, why don't they just install a new unit. So far they have refused to honor the warranty because Amana won't. I'm not writing this bad review out of spite but as a civic duty to report incompetence in what is falsely sold as good. I hope those of you reading this heed my warning about Airserve Eureka. They are just plain terrible. UPDATE: In mid late August 2025. Aireserv Eureka decided to ignore Amana's horrible lack of honoring our warranty and installed a new RUUD unit. Let's hope this goes better than this last year's trials. I'd definitely not recommend Amana for a future HVAC regardless of the positive reviews they have online. Eureka honestly doesn't deserve a stellar 5 star review but they have tried to do right currently so perhaps they again as mentioned above deserve more a 3-3.5 Star rating.

(Jun 2024)…read more It's funny how we freak out when we lose precious comforts that we sometimes or usually take for granted, i.e. electric, gas, heat, water, internet, or our air conditioners, etc. Sigh. I called Archway for an annual service check June 13th. After adding some R22, Brandon mentioned that my Trane A/C unit is 16 years old and since it wasn't operating at its peak and needs a part, that it may be time to replace said A/C. (By the way, I hired Archway 16 years ago to install my awesome Trane unit.) Unfortunately it was a 95 degree day (with seven more 90 degree days to follow.) Guess what, I foolishly ignored Brandon's advice and the A/C coils froze that night and the inside house temp rose to almost 80 degrees. Karen came out that same afternoon to evaluate the existing equipment, offered a few options (within my budget), explained in detail each option feature, how Archway's replacement process will be done and worked up the paperwork, all in less than an hour. I was so relieved that the new A/C contract was priced within my budget. She never used high-pressure tactics, which is refreshing in today's competitive market. I really appreciate the way Archway treats its customers with respect and the utmost understanding with the loss of cooling in the hottest days. It's apparent that they have high standards of outstanding customer service for their family owned company. Rick and Tom removed, replaced and tested the new units swiftly. They cleaned up their work areas and left at about the three hour mark. The house is cooling down and I'm very happy. Archway is a company that takes pride in the products they sell and their installation and maintenance teams. I will continue to recommend and rely on Archway for my heating and cooling needs, always. Don't hesitate to use their services. They are a great, professional business.
