The gentleman, was gracious and hospitable. My son and I. was the first customers when the doors open. But the hostess, arrived, she address my son and I, and started she recognized that we have been waiting for a while. The second customer arrive, she annoyed my son and I, waited on the customer and served him promptly. I stepped to the counter to place my family meal order. Now my family and I arrived at 11:00am, Now a few more customers enter the store, this lady waited and served everyone promptly. This woman deliberately ignored us. Only after the store was clear, was we given our food.She didn't express remorse, not did she provided an apology. But only offer me an "nasty Nice" smile. Received food, at 1:00pm. I don't have a clue what the food taste like., and to disappointed from the -1 /10 customer service. So if you enjoy long waits, being dismissed and experiencing total disrespect by a hostress, well roll over to this place. Because the attitude will slap your appetite out of your mouth. This place never stops amazing me...I always order the curry chicken, aside of cabbage and mac n cheese, a side of sweet yams and a crack tea. This combination alone puts you on your back but worth it. Omg! Lucked upon this place and it was fabulous. The chicken was fall off the bone and seasoned to perfection. Collards were tender and oh so tasty! The rice and beans, soooo good! And the Johnny cake was as sweet as could be. This place is Guy Fieri worthy. My only complaint is more beans in the rice. The portions were extremely filling . Great job on this one!!!!! read more

Service was great. Ambiance was nice. Food was horrible. I ordered oxtail rice and peas and collards. The oxtail and gravy were unreasonably sweet. It was unbearable. There was barely any meat and the very large oxtail bones that I received. I really wanted this to work. I paid about $27 for my meal. I was catfished by the presentation of the food. Never again will I ever go back. They should know better than to cook oxtail in that much sugar. Ridiculous. read more

Been wanting to come here for sometime and food did not disappoint! I had the beans and rice, collard greens and the stewed chicken. The sauce from the stewed chicken was delicious with the rice. The chicken was very tender, fall off the bone! The amount you get in the to go container was able to feed myself and my wife for lunch effectively. I'm averaging eight dollars a person for an authentic Caribbean, Trinidadian lunch was pretty good. I will go back to try some of the different items on the menu for sure. read more

They have the best stewed chicken! Sweet potatoes, cabbage, rice and beans; all are good sides to go! It was all so tasty I bought a friend some for birthday lunch. She requested collards and Mac & cheese for the sides and said the collards were so good they were the best she ever had! She also agreed the stewed chicken was very tasty. read more

I ordered jerk chicken, collards and peas and rice. The chicken was very tough. The rice was very over cooked to the point that it was mushy. Same with the collards. Very mushy and extremely bitter. Greens should not cook all day and these definitely have. We ordered at the end of the day and it was very obvious no one wanted to take time to provide fresh food. read more

$16.71 cents for "3" pieces of chicken and 2 "sides". It was supposed to have been one leg and 2 thighs, the thighs were absolutely pathetic with bones all throughout. Pretty sure they were not thighs at all and very very small also, this went along with a burnt small chicken leg covered in sauce. The sauce was the only good part of the whole plate. Ordered fries and Mac and cheese, both were horrible. The Mac and cheese was greasy all throughout and the fries were bland and not fully cooked. All of this food came in a regular 3 compartment to go container so to say SMALL portions would be an understatement. Also I found it deceiving about the size of the sides when in fact 3 pieces of chicken alone is 9.99 and to add 2 "sides" it was 14.99 before tax. Be better off just ordering chicken and making the sides at home if only the chicken wasn't the worst in Virginia. I dont know what kinda of mutated plant those poor chickens came from but LORD HELP them! WORST EXPERIENCE I've personally have in over a decade. Oh and the women behind the counter was super hard to understand but I didn't even take that into consideration with my choice of stars so take that for what you will since it's supposedly "Jamaican cuisine". I do know the service is terrible because I was doing a door dash and I was here 20 minutes before I was spoken to and 10 more minutes before i had the order i was supoose to deliver, which was 30 minutes after the order said it'd be ready read more

I've been wanting to go and yesterday I had some time. The young lady behind the counter made some suggestions and was very patient. I opted for the BBQ chicken, mac and cheese and cabbage. OMG! Easily one of the best things I have eaten in years. At first I thought it was a little expensive but when I got home and saw how much food there was, I quickly changed my mind. There was enough food for two plus meals (and I am a big eater). Definitely will be back. Maybe I'll be brave enough to try the Jerk Chicken. read more

I was really excited to try this place, I've passed it several times, plus the reviews seemed good. I will say it's ok, it's decent. I got the oxtail with 2 sides. Mac and cheese and rice and peas with an add on of cabbage (because I heard it was really good), also threw in a beef patty for good measure because who can resist!! The thing that will likely make me not come back is the fact that everything was sweet. Everything. The gravy on the oxtails, sweet. Mac, sweet, cabbage, sweet. I personally don't like sugar put in all of my food. I was really disappointed in the oxtails because they definitely gave a large portion with lots of meat. Just sad about the flavor. Now initially the cabbage was good, but after everything had that sweet flavor it started to turn me off. Mac was decent, thankfully not super sweet. The beef patty was a beef patty, can't go wrong there. All in all, I don't know that I'll be back. read more

This is the best Jamaican food in the 757 I have ever had!! I tried it for the first time last Wednesday and I had to come back again this week LOL. My fiancé and I have been eating at different Carribean/Jamaican spots all over the 757 trying to find the best jerk chicken and so far this place is it. I placed an order on the phone for the white meat jerk chicken w/2 sides and I perhaps showed up a little earlier than I should've because it's cooked to order so I ended up waiting there for a little while which I definitely didn't mind. Not only was the food well worth the wait but the staff was amazing as well and hooked it up with some of their Crack Tea as well as a free side of candied yams which were some of the best I've had. 10/10 would return and would recommend. read more
