Best jerk chicken I've had in Chicago thus far. I've tried some places here and there. I even had more then 18 places in south Florida, but this here was the truth! The chicken was Juicy not dry AT ALL, jerk Spiced perfectly, can taste the flavor of the cinnamon and all spices . Mac was delicious, please don't change the recipe.

I'm so glad I got to try this #hiddengem of a Jamaican restaurant and I'm mad if yall knew about it and didn't tell me!!!!! This is now of of my new, favorite Jamaican restaurants in the city. First of all - everything is fresh, made to order and you can taste it! They have it proudly posted that they do not have a microwave.... and they ARE NOT SORRY ABOUT IT! With that being said - know that you will have a wait, BUT you can place your order online, pick it up in store and sit down and eat in the restaurant. There is a bar serving up drinks and the drinks are GOOD! But the food?! and there are so many different things to choose from! There are VEGETARIAN options too and I KNOW those are amazing as well! Here's what I tried: Jerk Fried Wings w/Fries Egg rolls Jerk Chicken dinner (1 meat + 2 sides) Jerk Stir-Fry Jerky Chicken Sandwich Steamed Cabbage And the drinks were hitting too - very tropical! When you're in the area, hit the brakes and grab you a plate and tell them that Bri from Planes and Plates sent you! YEAH MON! Enjoy!

I said I want some grilled chicken so let me get some jerk chicken and I seen this place called jerky Jerk so I went there. Very nice. Customer service was good. The food came out hot. I had a beef patty that was made fresh, which was delicious And I had the two lunch specials. I didn't eat 2 one was for later, but I got the fried jerk wings with the sauce, which were absolutely delicious that sauce. It was spicy and sweet at the same time. It was very good. I had my sauce put on the side cause I wasn't sure about the sauce, but it did not disappoint and then I just tested out my half dark with my rice and peas and gravy v good. I didn't really care for the gravy that much it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't the best gravy I had but out of everything it was great, I will be back.

Jerk egg rolls were ok didn't have much flavor but that was maybe because I wanted it mild. The jerk wrap was banging with the island ranch and jerk sauce 10 out of 10 and I'm not into spicy food but I couldn't put it down and both sauces were banging. Service was fast because I ordered on line. Overall I definitely got to go back and try more on the menu. Place is small but a vibe with good music playing.

I ordered oxtails to go via their website. It was ready before the expected time. I haven't been going in a while due to the inconsistency in flavor and food being dried out. Well this time they provided me nothing but bones......I had to scrap thru the "stew" to find any meat. I will not patronize them anymore.

One of my favorite places to order take out from anytime I have a taste for Jerk chicken. The food is full of flavor and the portion is also generous. They food is always well wrapped and hot when delivered by door dash. Check them out!

Ordered it through doordash. Was still hot, fresh. The Jerky jerk chicken was well smoked and flavored. The fried chicken was crispy on the outside even after being delivered. Fries were crispy and well seasoned. Mac and Cheese was not bland, seasoned well which was a plus.

Pick any 2 Meats & 2 Side, Jerk Chicken Dark (Grilled), Curry Chicken, Candied yams, Mac n Cheese, Plantains.

Everything was delicious. There was nothing I didn't love. But the jerk dark meat, rice & peas, and Mac n cheese were my favorite. Also, if you like a decently spicy jerk sauce, their's is so good, so flavorful and the perfect balance of spice. Portions were a good size. I will definitely be back!

Please go somewhere else where your money is appreciated at.

I ordered 6 jerk wings, paid $18 for 6 half of wing. 3 wings. And it was not even jerk . It was fried chicken. Total waste of money. I recommend you go to the grocery store and cook your own jerk because this is terrible prices. And the chicken was not that good . I definitely will not be coming back. For no reason. Out of 10 give them a 1 for the over priced food . Try to support black businesses and they robbing u blind. So disappointing.

This is a good spot....they have wonderful food and we got right in. Small spot, interesting decor with weird seating. HOWEVER, the food was good....light on the salt....but tasty, good seasoning nonetheless. Oxtails, jerk chicken, curry goat, cabbage, plantains....is what we ordered. Sorry didn't get a pick of the curry.goat, my gurl was hungry...lol. the Oxtails was meaty, seasoned well, however didn't come off the bone as I would have liked. The chickenwas PHENOMENAL! charred, moist flavorful......yeeeeaaazzz...... Cabbage, Mac n cheese( oops did t tell you abt that) was good...and worthy of a 2nd try.us

I grabbed the 2 meat, 3 side special which included: stewed chicken, jerk chicken, rice and peas, cabbage and plantains. There's a solid amount of food and I'm going to be eating on this over the next two days. There's rice and peas were incredibly flavorful, moist and had a hint of spice. The stewed chicken's skin was falling off! That's how tender it was and I love anything with bell peppers and onions. The cabbage was solid with great crunch. Sometimes it can get too mushy, but this didn't. The plantains were just right!! Great palate cleanser as I transitioned to the jerk chicken! And the jerk chicken was a hit!!! Good amount of spice and flavor! And juicy! I also had extra jerk sauce on the side. Hmmmm I honestly enjoyed both chickens and would say if you're unsure of which to get, just get both... you'll definitely order from here again lol I ordered through uber eats and naturally was PRAYING that my order was correct and it was. A nice hefty serving and of course I also have a slice of the caramel cake. Mannn this slice of cake is so dang delicious. The two miles that I run tomorrow for this will be so worth it! This hit the spot and was the meal I needed after the day that I've had!

I had never been to the brick-and-mortar location until now. I stopped in one Sunday afternoon to a restaurant that was not busy on the inside. I noticed there was a steady stream of individuals coming in for carryout. Nevertheless, I had a sit-down so that I could try a few items. I ordered the Belizean appetizer sampler. This came as panades, garnaches, and conch fritters. I liked the panades, which were corn patties stuffed with buffalo fish. They were nice and flavorful. The garnaches reminded me of Venezuelan tostadas. I think that what was a miss for this dish was the drizzle of ketchup. Since I stopped using condiments from grocery stores, the flavor of such tends to ruin dishes for me. I liked the conch fritters. I would order those by the bagful just to have for snacks. My main dish was the stew chicken with rice and beans and a side of plantains. Surprisingly, this was more like baked chicken. There was no hint of cumin, cloves, or garlic. There were no tomatoes. There wasn't a sauce or a gravy. There was flavor, of which I give them that, but the same stew that I've had in Belize and in my Belizean friends' home was not served here. It very well may be that the dish prepared here simply differs from that which I have had before. It wasn't a bad thing. Not everyone prepares every dish the same way.

From the start, the bartender's attitude seemed off, but what stood out most was the difference in how I was treated compared to the rest of my group. He was friendly, attentive, and even offered complimentary drinks and shots to my friends, while I was largely ignored. Things escalated when the check came. After I paid, my receipt was held up in a way that drew attention to the fact that I hadn't left a tip on the card. And, then he mocked me and said, "I'm sorry my service was that bad to the point, I didn't get a tip." Shortly after, my friends continued receiving drinks on the house--again excluding me out. This created an awkward and embarrassing situation, especially since I was sitting right there with them. For clarity, I tip in cash as a personal preference, but regardless, no one should be singled out or treated differently like that. He laughed, and kept showing my receipt.
