You run into the occasional "angry neckbeard" type, but most people who hang out here are just passionate hobbyists who are willing to help new players. My one complaint is that the story is pretty small. It's often crowded during peak hours, with no open tables for playing games. As a consequence of the small size, there isn't a public restroom. This can be a problem, as games of 40k can take hours and the nearby stores aren't always comfortable with people using their bathrooms.
