Battery problems on a Saturday, ugh!…read more A1 battery on Union was AWESOME! I called them 5 minutes before they opened and talked to J.R. He assured me he had a battery that would fit my car and could change out the corroded cable. I pulled up, and a technician named Eedwin walked out and greeted me with a smile, and started diagnosing the issue right away. J.R. and Eedwin went straight to work, pulling out the old battery and replacing it with the new. The AAA representative had mentioned that I needed a specific type of battery, which was only available at the dealership, but J.R. (and later my mechanic) assured me that wasn't the case. J.R. made sure I had the correct battery for my car and even cleaned the battery housing as well. I was there for less than 10 minutes, and everything was under $200, when AutoZone was going to charge me $250 just for the battery! (no install). Time will tell how well the battery does (they gave me a 5-year warranty - 1 year full replacement, the remainder is prorated price for a new battery) but so far, I'm happy with my service. I'd recommend this place to my people.

They checked the alternator, then the battery. He said the battery was registering good on his meter. But, because we haul horses, I didn't want to take a chance. While Sean and I took care of the paperwork, the other tech (damn, I am blanking on his name) installed the new battery. In 15 minutes I was on my way.
