I will buy one or two things I love and if possible come back for a sale. They always have excellent customer service and strive to get customers in and out in a timely manner.The store stays neat and organized, you see people straightening and helping customers to keep it that way. The organization of the store also helps with giving fantastic customer service. They can always find and suggest additional items.

The sales are great and every now and then I up my game and buy the new suits in the wall too. I have always been helped out and they are def quick with the size finders and styles of like that look great on me. My mom loves this store and literally every time Armee here she has to too. It was a rainy Sunday afternoon so I looked for men's shoe stores in the area with a high rating, and Vernon Powell popped up. Quite frankly, I'd never heard of them before and decided to check them out. This is the type of shoe store where the attendant has to take your choice and bring out those shoes in your size. I was promptly waited upon by Kimmie (spelling?) who was most cordial and attentive ( in contradistinction to the young woman at the register with a flat affect who looked like she hated that she had a job). I picked out 3 pair, one of which they did not have instructions stock but will get in for me tomorrow. I don't mind paying for quality, and initial comfort is a must, and this store did it for me on both counts. I brought two pair home and will stop in tomorrow to pick up my third pair. Kimmie advised joining their rewards program in which you get a $50 coupon after spending $350 which isn't difficult to do! I'm most pleased with my experience at Vernon Powell and now that I have this experience shall return there when next I need shoes. I can't comment on their woman's section nor their foot-related paraphernalia, but they've got it all. A nice, "old-fashioned" shoe store!

When I bought it back to the store the manager said that she couldn't do anything about it and gave me an email address to contact. The email address was nonexistent and she was Not helpful at all. Their customer service is extremely poor and I will not return or refer anyone to the Rehoboth Beach location.

Quite literally any surf shop between bethany and rehobeth beach is better than this one. I went in to buy a tshirt and two stickers. Was offered a bag, said yes please, and went about my day. Keep in mind the bag is blue. About 2 blocks down the road (10 min tops) I notice i'm suddenly COVERED in blue dye- on myself, my clothing, and may I add a BRAND NEW $40 tshirt bought yesterday from Quiet Storm in Rehoboth (pictures attached below). I calmy way my way back to the store. The cashier was so helpful, very apologetic, and offered to call her manager. The manager stated their "refund policy" which says no refunds are accepted and they only give store credit. I explained my newly bought shirt from them INSIDE the bag was safe from the blue dye so i did not need that shirt returned. However I did want a refund due to compensation of blue dye ALL OVER myself and brand new clothing. The manager refused and offered to call the owner. We waited in the store for about 15-20 minutes for the manager to relay the same message from the owner. They offered no refund, no compensation, only offered to give another one of their shirts. Not sure about you, but after a business just ruins a BRAND new shirt due to cheap bags- i'm simply not interested in supporting them by wearing another shirt with their name on it. The refusal to give me a refund due to their greediness & lack of accountability is quite literally mind-blowing. I've never seen a small business ESPECIALLY in Dewey Beach be so money hungry they forget to have a single ounce of consideration. This screams cheap, and we don't have money to do half of what's right. The quality of merch displays this perfectly. I would avoid this place at all costs, the only good thing about this place was the kindness of the cashier though dealing with HORRENDOUS management. I would highly recommend checking out surf shops in Bethany Beach or Quiet Storm in Rehobeth. All will be a million times better than this place & you won't leave being a canvas to a cheap bag. Awful establishment. EDIT: I did demand a refund bc your cheap bags ruined my shirt. I offered to give back the one I just purchased in exchange for my money back. Trust me i'd much rather have the shirt I was wearing CLEAN and UNDAMAGED than 2 of your shirts. If your store policy stated you had cheap bags that would stain me and my clothes I wouldn't have purchased from here in the first place. It was not raining when I left and unfortunately not my fault bags can't be stored properly.

My friend and I were talking to one of the employees to see if they had a certain shoe, and my friend had unknowingly put their foot up on one of the stools, not knowing it moved, and almost fell, while the employee (I don't know her name) ran to the stool and pulled it away and was very snarky and said that you're not supposed to do that. I understand you're not supposed to do that, but my friend had no idea, and when your customer is in danger and is going to fall?? I am sure if any damage was to be caused we would have paid to repair it. I think that if this store had a better selection, more personable employees, and maybe better customer-safety-values, things would have gone very, very differently. I really hope they can enhance this store in the future, as I am sure my friend and I are willing to give it another chance if that is the case.

The store was brimming, almost overflowing, with curated women's clothing and accessories. I think we all found a little too much that we liked, including a summer dress, cardigan, and lots of jewelry. The prices were fair and ranged from $8-25 for the items we purchased. There were some designer pieces that were definitely higher and some folks may be disappointed if they are looking for dollar deals. Everything was hand selected for quality and condition so I think the prices reflect that. The shop keeper was very busy but cordial manning the phones (with lots of callers inquiring about consigning), ringing up sales, and helping in store customers. I will definitely go back to shop and explore other offerings in Ocean View, DE when time permits!
