This is one of my favorite boutiques.Every time I visit I find a unique something. I came across this store in upper state New York about 15 years ago. Peekskill New York ,I think. This quaint little city has grand places to eat and shop. It's been my favorite little shop-til-drop for ages. While in Rehoboth Beach Delaware I discovered my favorite store and purchased a wonderful silk purple blouse, a sexy sun dress , scented soap , and roll-on perfume No. 3. All side-walk $40-50 % off sale items too! The stores are open air friendly, neat and they always hire the best staff with incredible salesmanship qualities. Kudos to management for their professionalism in finding great retail talent. This location had two floors. read more

SOUTH MOON UNDER - So soft and they have 5 to 10 items only of unique clothes. So I hardly find another woman rocking my styles when I enter the room, lolol. - Department Stores Near Me - Rehoboth Beach, Delaware

They have a ton of clothes, but there was an older saleswoman there, appeared to be a manager, who wouldn't leave me alone in the dressing room area. Made me feel like she thought I was shoplifting and made for a very bad shopping experience. I'm a 35 year old mother who can afford clothes and didn't appreciate being followed around a dressing room. read more

I love South Moon Under and have been shopping in them for YEARS. The clothing, while ridiculously expensive, is fantastic! Great quality, trendy cuts, beautiful colors. I've also come to expect great customer service from SMU. I've been to 4 other locations and they all have attentive and friendly staff. This SMU, however, did not meet expectations. The staff was sloppy, unhelpful and rude. The woman who rang up my clothes did not even bother to fold them before putting them in the bag. When spending $400+ on clothes here, you would think they would take a little more care. read more

Oh dear me, this is the biggest, prettiest, most delicious South Moon Under I've EVER been in! I never dreamed it could be like this: that I could be so completely broke, and hungry, with sand still in places it shouldn't be, and yet so blissfully freaking happy. I recently visited the Rehoboth Beach location on a busy Saturday afternoon. As I entered the store I noticed a patron shopping while attempting to control two large leashed NOT SERVICE ANIMAL dogs. The dogs were allowed to sniff and rub up against anyone or anything they came in contact with, being highly allergic I immeadately left the store. I contacted store management and received a response for SMU's Senior Manager Brand Experience. I was offered a private appointment to shop before, during or after store hours to ensure there were not any dogs in the store. I was also assured SMU "wants to provide a safe, happy shopping environment for all our customers". I explained to the manager even with no animals present anyone with an allergy can still be affected. I explained the dander left behind on the close racks, merchandise, etc could be just as problematic for a person with a pet allergy, I never received any response back! WARNING to anyone with a pet allergy thinking about shopping at SMU. Apparently dogs and dog owners have more rights than the rest of us! So much for " a safe, happy shopping environment"!!! read more

I'm in loooove with this South Moon Under! The staff is so friendly and cheerful, not at all snobby like at the Bethesda store. This store is huge- women's and men's clothing and shoes on the ground floor and swimsuits on the entire top floor. Very trendy designers like Ella Moss, Joe's Jeans, Toms, etc. It's not cheap but they have ah-may-zing sales! I just scored two hot bikinis for dirt cheap prices. One was originally $90 and I paid $20.96 and the other was originally $116 and I paid $26.21. Hooray :D read more

south moon under has been one of the standard great stores to shop at the beach for years. they have a great assortment of cute clothes and fun designers - lots of shirts and dresses, and a large assortment of swimwear. which is probably why i bought a bikini and a dress the last time i was there! they recently expanded into a small home section on one side, which had nice housewares. they also carry mens clothes. i have found the service pretty decent - they are helpful in the fitting rooms and with getting additional sizes. i did have a not-as-great experience lately when i had them get a smaller size from another store (there are a few in the area) and they never called me to say it was in. however when i stopped back in later in the week, it was there on the rack! being the sucker for a cute dress that i am, i bought it anyway but i was annoyed. all in all, its definitely a shop to hit while doing some beach shopping. i mean, you cant spend ALL your time on the beach, can you?? read more

Cute shop with a nice variety of clothing, jewelry and household items/decorations. I always stop by this shop when in Rehoboth, especially since I no longer live near one of their other stores. Items can be pricey, especially compared to the typical beach shop. read more

I love the brands this chain carries, so I stopped into this location while on vacation with my husband. I was practically assaulted by a 40-something woman who was dressed like she wanted to be 20-something, as soon as I walked in the door. She followed me into the dressing room, practically demanding that I come out and "model" my things for her. This woman was very pushy and loud, and I was not comfortable "modeling" clothes for this stranger 2 months after having my first baby...or EVER! I left without trying of half of the items I brought into the fitting room. After making a beeline to the register, I was greeted by a grumpy 20-something gentleman who let me, and the three people in front of me in line, know it was past closing time by looking at his watch and then cutting his eyes at us no less than 5 times while I was in line. He snapped at some poor high school-aged associate in front of all of us because she was behind the register and not cleaning (she appeared busy to me). His fussy attitude and lack of professionalism just added to this sour experience. Had I not been in dire need of a sweater for chilly beach nights, I would've dropped my pricey items on the counter and left. Moral of the story: South Moon Rehoboth needs to get a grip. I wish I had gotten the manager's name because the whole experience was enough to make me walk briskly PAST the store the next day - I will never step foot in there again. Yuck. read more
