We visit Kona Surf shop every year during our annual beach trips. Their shirts are so much more tasteful and better quality compared to what they sell on the boardwalk. I do wish they bring back more of the Wildwood classic prints back like the Ferris wheel, tram car, and beach/rides prints. My little boys buy a shirt as they grow! Great variety of everything you need for your trip to the shore. Great surf shop. We travel in here at least 3 times a season. Fall is our favorite time as they have great sales. Went in here on Father's day and purchased a lot with a discount for Dads. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Bathing suits, sandals, shoes, Men's clothing, Women's clothing, clothes for kids, not just summer clothes lots more. Decent variety of sports stuff also for fun at the shore. DONT GO IF YOU WANT TO BE PATRONIZED AND OVERPAY Walked in to return a bathing suit and was trying to ask the girl at the register what to do and while I was trying to understand what the quiet cashier was saying the older guy behind her on the other side of the counter was telling me to go around so when I heard him and started walking around he said "there ya go" in a really demeaning way. Kona surf shop is one of my favorite places to visit and shop. There are always plenty of soft, vivid causal wear and so many styles to choose from. The other name brands carried at Kona Surf were always the latest style that my daughter and husband also liked. We have made a trip to visit Wildwood, NJ just for the purpose of shopping and food over the last 6 months at least 2 times... and its cold out there right now. Summer is just around the corner and we stocked up on some great shorts, shirts and comfortable sweatshirts to wear. My next visit will be soon and I cannot wait to see what styles and colors they have for this Summer/Fall for flip flops and T-shirts. I highly recommend Kona Surf to anyone looking for beachwear. read more

Ok. I am changing my experience to 2 stars. Why? Chris sent me a message stating they were truly sorry and if they could rectify the situtation. I have to give Kona credit for taking the time to send me a personal message, but dude, I live 3000 miles away and as much as we love Wildwood we go once a year! Every year we buy all new beach accessories, towels, umbrella, sand toys for the son, boogie board and we leave them behind. Either give them to someone at the hotel or on the beach or trash them, really kind of hard to pack that stuff for the plane ride. That $5 is a huge savings for us, granted you say it was a misprint and I would say that was fair enough but after your sales associate refused to take ours we found that same coupon in several more publications during our week stay, so saying it was a misprint really isn't fair for really I think the person you employed to create that ad didn't proof read it or it was an oversight. So in actuality Kona in the end is responsible. And it wasn't just not honoring the coupon, seriously that $5 didn't make or break our vacation it was how the situation was handled. The woman was rude and gave no apologies and when my husband called your main shop to ask for answers after being passed around to literally 4 people on the phone not 1 person could offer an explanation or a solution. Will we stop in next year..probably. Will we shop around before we purchase from you again. Most definately! I have always been willing to pay a little extra for great service and our last trip we didn't get it. read more

Kona has everything you could want from a local surf shop! Was in recently and picked up a super soft hoodie with an adorable pineapple logo. It's my "down the shore" sweatshirt and I wear it often. I always get compliments. They also have a great clearance section in the back that we were able to grab some shirts for our kids. My teenage daughter loves visiting with her friends and she loves the new logo stickers. I'm sure we'll be back again before the summer is over! read more
