I really enjoyed this thrift store!…read more I was saddened to see the reviews about the store owner. I was in Cape May this weekend visiting a long time family friend. First off, the woman that owns the store (I am speaking from my experience) is a business owner. She is not there to be your friend. She is there to run her business, and provide her customers with high quality, clothing/accessories in good condition. You want someone that is going to be picky about what they put in their store. How are we going to find some great buys? I must say, everything I purchased was in mint condition, and DID NOT smell. Actually, they smelled like fabric softener. My friend had told me that everything is always clean that comes from her thrift store. I left with a couple of pieces that I am very happy about, and eager to wear (without breaking the bank). I will most definitely will be back. I may bring in some clothing in the future during my next visit. Thank you!

I found a cute kaleidoscope - not vintage but still beautiful colors and patterns for 3$-I also noticed a super cool paperweight in the case and the guy was kind to let me see it. He informed me that it was 25% off. It was reminiscent of one my grandmother had and I really liked the murano glass look to it. I've seen these priced at 20-22 elsewhere. I got this for 12$. It was priced at 15 with 25% discount. Definitely a lot to see here and I would certainly go back on a rainy seashore day. I recommend this business. The only thing that was off-putting was the girl at the register was screwing around on her cell phone as I stood right in front of her. A coworker had to nudge her to ring me up. She apologized for being inattentive.

If you are expecting to get a good deal, I do not recommend this place. I was very disappointed in the childrens clothing. They can only sell what they get donated but I noted condition issues and not much available in some sizes. I thought many of the items should have been on rack of 50 cent items because of the heavy wear of the items. Specialty items like nice gift items, vintage and antique items have antique shop prices not thrift shop. Maybe they need the high prices to support their location costs and their charity support. But there are very few deals. However they have a few racks of $1 items and clearance, and we've picked up several great deals hidden away on these racks. I have also found some nice shoes on my visits. I like this thrift shop but I agree with other reviews about prices. I did see a dress from a designer I know gets $200 new for a dress retail that was $20 in this store, but the dress itself was going to be looking for that one buyer who would look good in the dress. Just because a dress is designer doesn't make it valuable if no one wants it! Anyway, I think it is worth a trip and remember to bring your own bags and ask about discounts.
