Just wanted to update my review because Skin by Brittany is AMAZING!…read more Had myself a much needed massage with @skinbybrittany__ today.  The past few weeks have been extremely stressful, and my body was begging me for a reset!  A little back story... I have always been extra sensitive when it came to physical touch. I could never get a massage because I was too ticklish and the feeling of knots on my body made me cringe! A few years ago,  I booked a massage with @skinbybrittany__ . She knew my situation and let me know that if at any point I started to feel uncomfortable,  we could stop.   She was the most gentle and most professional massage therapist I have ever encountered!   She literally took away my fear of massages (crazy enough, it really was a fear of mine). My body is thanking me right now, after my AMAZING massage with Brittany today.   I'm telling you... book your appointment with her now!  You won't regret it!   She's also responsible for my amazing skin!  She gives the best facials and I am loving my new skin care routine! Thank you so much, @skinbybrittany__

Just blown away with how amazing my brows look!…read more Jeanne was very sweet, knowledgeable & took the time to listen when I shared the results I was hoping for. Her space was warm, clean & quiet, & I felt welcomed when I arrived. We started with her drawing out what she wanted to do to my brows & after a quick look over, I loved what she created. Once we began the needling she checked in with me often on how I was doing & my pain level. After we finished the first run through, she had me look my brows over and we discussed what I wanted to slight adjust - that being said I was already in love with them. Once finished, I loved the look of my final brows. She truly is an expert at what she does & I would highly recommend anyone looking for a brow upgrade :)

I had my first session with Jeanne back in February and I had a great session with her! Not only was Jeanne patient and understanding, but she's also extremely friendly and personable. I also appreciated Jeanne's honesty in letting me know that she felt my previous brows didn't frame my face well, and together, we worked together to draw brows that complimented my face much better! This goes to show how much she cares about her clients and wants to make sure you are getting your money's worth for her services. I also took a makeup class with Jeanne yesterday (along with my cousin)! This was such a fun and interactive class where Jeanne took the time to explain to us which products worked well with our skin properties, had us practice and apply products on our own and we left the class feeling happy and inspired by an everyday look that we can now use on a daily basis. My cousin and I have very different facial features yet Jeanne dedicated time for both of us, ensuring that our questions were answered and that we were applying the methods correctly. I can't say enough great things about Jeanne! She is truly knowledgeable, friendly and cares about her clients. I highly recommend her for brows and makeup (whether it's a class or session)! Thank you Jeanne unnie :)

I felt exactly how I wanted to feel on my special day -- confident, beautiful, and just a slightly "elevated" version of myself. Kathleena has a gifted eye for highlighting natural beauty; I never felt like my hair or makeup was hiding the real me. While preparing for my wedding, I had a few cuts and one deep conditioning with Kathleena. For my fellow introverts, you'll be happy know that Kathleena is largely silent while cutting/styling hair, as she gets into a "zone" and is fully focused on her work. While she's a delight to talk to geneally, I am grateful for a quieter hair-cutting experience -- as a highly sensitive person, I've often felt overstimulated by past salon experiencesm which tended to include lots of music and talking (sadly often in the form of gossiping or complaining). Her salon is beautiful and her products are all very natural, meaning no noxious fumes! I am happy to have found such a wonderful stylist (and human!) and look returning to Kathleena for hair and makeup services in the years to come.

I was really happy with my looks throughout the event and Kary was attentive throughout, really glad to have hired her. During the makeup trial she listened to my needs and took times to try multiple styles and looks until I'm comfortable with my choices. Her makeup style is very beautiful and natural at the same time, she has a great understand of Asian features. I felt very beautiful. During the event she stayed around for almost the whole ceremony to reception, helping with touch ups and outfit/look changes. She was also great with my mother and bridesmaids, patient and giving styling support when my mom had questions. However I think there's room for improvement in her team. The second HMU she brought with her to help with the other half of my bridesmaids was not as good. My bridesmaid mentioned that her side bun constantly fell out and after asking to be fixed multiple time they just ended up fixing it themselves. The second HMU also didn't seem to have the same joy as Kary and wasn't too friendly. Outside of that, Kary's husband Eugene does all her booking, scheduling and communications. Have some patience for him to get back to you and double check the booking times as I experienced some mixed up during the trial booking. Overall I would definitely recommend working with Kary for your makeup, you will not regret it, she really took good care of me.

She explained because it's not her space she would need also additional time to setup. This didn't include sweeping up or moving the hair on the floor. Sure it's not her space but she didn't acknowledge it in anyway. She didn't even have me saved as the right client leading to confusion on both ends Extremely condescending and rude. I am 5'10 she informed me because my legs were long it was making her job challenging. She told me the dark circles under my eyes were very noticeable and hard to hide. She got makeup in both of my eyes and informed me because I don't regularly wear makeup this was because of my eyes Despite this I was willing to go with her. However I didn't get back to her within 48 hours. Stated no where. And she never followed up with me leading to last minute confusion on my end assuming having already paid her for a trial would encourage some professionalism in a courtesy follow up. Wedding planning is stressful! Additionally in our last conversation after she informed me she likely couldn't do the makeup. She asked where I was planning on getting ready for my wedding. I told her the salon. She then went on to disparage their space as it doesn't even have the table space she would need to do her work. I thankfully was able to find a nicer and actually warm artist and had an amazing wedding.
