The NYC brunch spread of my dreams! I was impressed with the quality and taste of the various fish - none of which were overly fishy. The vegetable toppings were a perfect fresh element that complimented the cream cheese and fish. I appreciated that the bagels & toast were warm & pre-toasted. The scrambled eggs & caviar were delicious and the latkes paired well with each bite! They say this is for 2 people but honestly 4 people can comfortably share this. My second time at Jeffrey's Grocery, and it definitely won't be my last! Reservations can be a little tough to get, especially on weekends, but it's absolutely worth the effort. I came back specifically for the lobster spaghetti, and it was just as amazing as I remembered. It's incredibly flavorful with generous chunks of lobster in every bite--something you don't often find at this price point. The sweet tomatoes, Parmesan cheese, crunchy breadcrumbs, and olive oil come together beautifully. I also love that it's light and doesn't rely on a heavy cream sauce. On my first visit, I ordered the crab dip as my app which was also outstanding. Honestly, I'd come back just for the lobster spaghetti. Unlike many restaurants that are stingy with the lobster meat, this dish is loaded with it, making it an excellent value and one of the best lobster pastas I've had. For dessert, I had the chocolate pot de crème which is a very rich chocolate, all mouse with bits of chocolate chip pieces. The restaurant itself is on the smaller side, so reservations are highly recommended. Seating is limited, and the tables are fairly close together, making it feel a bit tight during busy times. We started off with the razorclam special of the day which was very lovely. It was bright, fresh, chewy, and refreshing. The fresser platter ($78) is what we really loved and would come back to order again. It's basically deconstructed lox, whitefish, capers, tomato, sour cream, cream cheese, red onions, latkes, scrambled eggs with caviar, smoked trout, salmon, several pieces of sourdough bread and bagel. It was all fresh and lovely to pair as we wanted. It was aesthetically pleasing and seems to be a favorite amongst the diners. We were able to snag a reservation for three at 5:30 at the bar but when we got there, it was such a nice day outside and we kindly asked if we could sit outside and the staff was super kind and got us a nice table outside. And then we were pushing our luck and asked our waiter if we could still do the happy hour menu considering it was 5:29 when we sat down and again the staff was super kind and accommodating and got us our happy hour drinks. I haven't been to Jeffrey's Grocery in years and it is still as good as I remember. I was able to get a Saturday night reservation and the place was packed both inside and outside. We started with a couple glasses of wine and Le Duchess seafood plateau. It came with oysters, shrimp, clams, smoked mussels, and albacore conserva to share for two people. The smoked mussels were my favorite, but the whole platter was great. We also split the mussels and lobster spaghetti. The spaghetti came with a good amount of lobster meat mixed in the tomato sauce. From a happy hour perspective, this place is absolutely delicious, with oysters price at $1.50, you cannot complain. I was absolutely happy with the overall oyster experience, had to order two dozen. You have to wait exactly until the happy hour time hits, you cannot be seen before to benefit from the happy hour pricing. Cocktails were excellent and our server was knowledgeable on the tequila's they offer - my preference. We started with the crab dip and fried artichokes- both delicious!
