** 8 year update **…read more Welp, nothing to see here! This place is still #1 in my book of providers. Since my last review in 2017, my boys have entered adulthood and joined hubby and I at this provider. The gangs all here. We wouldn't have it any other way. I love that Dr. Holmes can relate to my boys being a young, aa, male w great bedside manner. I love the flexible morning hours. He starts as early as 7am and has a great staff. 0 turnover. The same folks are there since before my last review. That speaks volumes. Dr. Holmes always provides professional, quality Healthcare. There's another provider there in the office Dr. Desai. I've never met w as a patient, but I do have family members who see Dr. Desai, and they rave about the care and customer service he provides. Everything and everybody that comes from this office is gold!!

I cannot even begin…read moreto adequately honor him for being not only "The doctor of your dreams," but someone whom I consider family. He's been there for my wife through breast cancer and a host of other serious ailments. His confidence band smile as he enters the examination room is like magic! I don't normally write reviews but in this case I feel strongly that people should acknowledge fine folks like this who restore one's faith in the medical profession. If you are searching for an incredible physician DO NOT HESITATE to call Dr. Holmes, make an appointment and see for yourself.

Having the surgery done in Northwest Hospital was a terrible mistake, and I ended up filing a formal complaint against the hospital for dreadful treatment by the nurses. Dr. Silverstein spent all of 30 seconds checking on me post-op in the hospital, and I sent him a copy of my Northwest Hospital complaint via letter because I thought he would want the full story of what a terrible experience it was. He didn't seem to care, and never acknowledged the letter. Message received: patients don't matter. Later, he said something to the effect of, "Sorry my response was not to your satisfaction." That was a laugh, because there was no response at all, nor any acknowledgment whatsoever. When I got hold of the hospital notes for my surgery through Northwest later, it was eye-opening in how I was discussed. I never went back to Dr. Silverstein because of being totally ignored and a poor result from my surgery. Zero trust. Beware! And whatever you do, I warn you to look up all the reviews of Northwest Hospital. My experience there was a nightmare.

Just had the most frustrating conversation with the person who answered at this office - her name…read morewas Diana. As I was looking for a doctor who is trained in Integrative medicine for my family, I had some basic questions as to whether the doctor was taking patients only with serious illnesses or otherwise healthy and also insurance. She basically did not know any answers and instead chose to read something repeatedly that really did not answer these simple basic questions. She then got annoyed when I pointed this out to her and asked if someone could get back to me with answers by saying that she had already answered my questions. She then had a poor attitude with me and showed clearly her annoyance with me. It was quite frustrating at this point so I decided to end this comical call. So I wasted my valuable time and got the worst impression of a doctor's office ever with this person. But perhaps they have so much business that they can have her behave this way? I mean really - at $350 consultation fee plus $175 thereafter that she said most insurance won't cover, I guess they are doing extremely well! They say you can judge a book by its cover and often, office staff can make or break your practice as good doctors know.

No one should HAVE to go to a neurologist. But, for those like me, where it's medically a necessity, this is the man to see. I'll admit, I'm a snob when it comes to medicine. It's a field I've dedicated my career and it's a field I take serious. I only choose those who are superior in their field. Not only does Dr. Kao know a lot about a lot of things, not only is he a researcher who is abreast of all the new therapies, not only does he have a compassionate bedside manner and talk to you, he's just a nice kind man all around. He's a genuine man, who even visits you bedside in the hospital, he guides your care, and is aggressive and thorough with treatment. He doesn't half any thing. He gives you his all. He even does the nerve conduction test (EMG) himself to ensure accuracy. When I was first told to come to him, I bubble snotty begged him to help me not get to the extreme. His response, "I won't. We'll do this together". His staff is great. Molly, the head nurse? Love, Love. I'm a busy person and she is diligent with the Follow-up. She ensures you don't skip through the crack regardless how busy you get. The front desk staff?? Love again. They even have an app to communicate your health status. I honestly don't want to recommend anyone to come to him. I've very possessive about him and honestly want to keep him to myself. He's literally the best kept secret. But, if you do need a neurologist, I MIGHT let you borrow mine. I MIGHT... no promises.
