I was told they'd call me before my appointment which never happened, and every time I tried calling back the lines were "busy" at every single hour of the day. Called multiple times to try to get an appointment. Left multiple messages over the course of 5 days and received no call back. Finally got in touch with a receptionist and was told to call back in 30 min to speak to the person who does scheduling. I expressed I had already called and left multiple messages and received no call back. Needless to say no one answered and no call back received. I had seen Dr. Tadiconda two or three times before I decided I needed to find a better, more interested physician. I thought she was burned out and bored with her work. The first appointment I had with her consisted of being told that I needed to make a second appointment to discuss my medical issues. So, what was the first appointment for? A formal introduction? An insurance billing exercise? Despite thinking this was odd, I did make that second appointment, at which I had the impression that Dr. Tadiconda had a canned answer for every concern I had, went through my medical complaints like a pile of papers to be filed away, and came up with the most obvious explanation in response to what I was saying, instead of asking questions to get to the bottom of things. For example, when I complained of fatigue, she immediately told me I probably have narcolepsy and need to see a sleep specialist. Actually, I don't have narcolepsy. Instead I have prediabetes/borderline diabetes, which Dr. Tadiconda was aware of and which also often causes fatigue, but she never connected the dots or gave it enough thought. At the third and final appointment I brought up the problem I had with an ongoing cough, and before I finished my sentence, Dr. Tadiconda said it was acid reflux and I should stop drinking juice and coffee (she said in any case, they "just make you pee.") Wrong again: I do not have acid reflux, never did. The cough was caused by my blood pressure medication; the problem resolved when I reduced it (still drinking juice and coffee with no issues). I felt like my well-being and struggles with the medical issues was not a priority for this doctor. Very unfortunate. read more

The office personnel leaves a lot to be desired. Like most things these days, you get a recording and have to press this and that to possibly get a person who almost always has to call you back. Let me tell you about an experience I had with their office. I was given a referral for a sonogram and mammogram. I chose to go to a different facility so I called the office immediately after I scheduled the procedures. Told the office that my appointment was for that day (explained why I was going to some place different), if they could fax it to the new facility and they said yes. Arrived at appointment and order for mammogram was not there. Heard the staff call for it and was supposed to be faxed. They faxed the wrong order. The facility called again and was put on hold and then they hung up on her. The technician tried calling and said all she was getting from the doctor's office was a busy signal. I also called and was placed on hold without a chance to say anything. I was on hold for 17 minutes when finally someone hung up on me. In the meantime, the technician came out and said she got a verbal order from the office. So they finally answered her call while I was still on hold. I called the manager for my doctor's office and she said the phones got busy after lunch, she's sorry, the staff did fax it, she had confirmation in front of her. I said yes they faxed it but it was the wrong order. I spent an hour and a half at the facility with well over an hour trying to get through to the doctor's office and trying to get the right referral. Ridiculous. If phones are that busy, you need more staff or have others help with phone calls. I have called many times including this time where someone answers the phone with doctor's office can you hold please and slaps you on hold without ever waiting for a response. I think it's time I find a different primary. Primary is good but staff is lousy. read more

I call Internal Medicine Doctor in Laurel, Md. and made an appointment to see Dr. Lalitha Tadikonda on a medical personal reason. I am very comfortable and pleased to have her as my doctor. I have been her patient for over a decade. I arrived at the doctor's office 10 minutes early to be told that my appointment has been cancelled. The change was made on the appointment morning at 7:45am. I'm being asked did I cancel my appointment. I asked, "Why would I make the appointment weeks ago, use my leave, waste time & gas to arrive early for make my scheduled appointment?" No one at the doctor office knows who cancelled my appointment at 7:45am without informing the patient of the cancellation. 45 minutes later, I was called in to talk to another doctor asking me why am I late! Really! I was told to go back to the waiting room. Now I'm being told to make another appointment. Well, now I have to find another doctor who was as good as her... read more
