I consulted Nidal Dirini at Helsell Fetterman for a WLAD discrimination case against a state…read moreagency. While the firm did waive the consultation fee after I explained my financial situation, I had concerns about the contingency agreement and the process overall: Fee Structure: The contract required me to pay 33-45% of the total recovery, including any court-awarded attorney fees. At the time, I didn't realize that under WLAD, defendants are supposed to pay attorney fees separately from damages. After my consultation, I did my own research and learned this is known as "double-dipping," which can significantly reduce a client's net recovery. Case Valuation: During our conversation, Nidal told me he did not see my claim reaching six figures. He seemed to undervalue the potential of my case, which prompted me to do more research on my own. Later, I discovered published cases like Snell v. DSHS, where plaintiffs in similar or even weaker positions received much larger verdicts. Contract Terms: I found the firm was not flexible on contract terms related to medical liens, termination penalties, or interest rates-terms I now know are important for client protection. Second Opinion: Weeks/months later after our discussion, I requested to speak with another attorney at the firm who specialized in employment law. I did not receive a response, which left me feeling unsupported. For anyone considering this firm: Make sure you understand how court-awarded attorney fees will be handled in your case. Do your own research on case values and contract terms. Be aware that you may not get a second opinion if you disagree with the initial assessment. I only give 1-star or 5-star reviews-pass or fail. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this firm for WLAD discrimination cases.

I went to Lucas & Lucas for help setting up a new corporation. The staff was helpful and kind; they…read morewere able to schedule me in on almost a same-day basis. We reviewed my old corporation, and Gregory spent ample time educating me on the problems with my old corp and the benefits of setting up a new corporation "properly." I didn't fully grasp, at the time, the differences between a right and wrong corporation. He told me to go have dinner while the Lucas & Lucas team prepared and expedited my corporate documents. A few hours later--the documents were ready! He thoroughly reviewed with me how best to use the corporation. He also offered advice on a business idea. His input turned out to be 100% accurate (unfortunately, I neglected to take his advice and lost a lot of money in the process! Ouch! You were right!). I recently attended a real estate workshop that suggested certain language for setting up a corporation to best protect your assets. I went home and carefully reviewed the bylaws that Lucas & Lucas wrote for me. I was so pleased to find the suggested language AND so much more. I never imagined that a piece of paper could make me feel safe! But these guys nailed it. With Lucas & Lucas, you've got a brilliant bully in your corner, with decades of experience and a willingness to teach.

If you can hire them on contingency or for a set retainer with % of settlement fine but do not pay out of pocket or they will run up those hours.

Title: Seth Rosenberg Is Not On Your Side -- He Works the System, Not for You…read more Seth Rosenberg controls his office, controls other attorneys, and manipulates clients into trusting him while quietly protecting himself and the system he claims to fight. He talks tough about challenging the government, but when it's time to act -- like filing a Motion to Vacate -- he backs down. He delays, redirects, and stalls. Everything is performance. When pressure mounts, he doesn't confront the system -- he hides behind it. In my case, after three years of paid representation, he suddenly demanded another $8,000 and a brand-new contract -- at the most critical point in my case. That requirement had never been mentioned before. I paid the money. Then he stalled. Again. The new contract wasn't about clarity -- it was about setting up a technical excuse to withdraw without accountability. Worse, another attorney in his firm (David) had originally been helpful -- until Seth intervened. After that, David stopped communicating entirely. That is not legal service. That is internal sabotage and client abandonment. Seth Rosenberg is not standing up to the government. He's performing for it -- while billing you on the way out. If you are in a serious case, under real pressure, or fighting injustice: This is not your lawyer. He will not stand with you. He will stand aside -- and let you fall. I'm filing a formal complaint and demanding a refund. I will speak the truth, because lawyers like this depend on silence.

After 6 years of fighting to be awarded social security approval with another lawyer, the Gustad…read moreLaw group was able to get me approved after my latest administrative law hearing. My initial lawyer forgot to request an appeal following my 3rd attempt of filing for social security. As it had been longer than 60 days from receiving the denial letter when I found out the appeal request had never been sent in, I had to start the entire process over. I began looking for a new lawyer after receiving the first denial letter after starting the process over. I had submitted the request for a ehearing and was 6 weeks out from the hearing date when I found Gustad Law Group. All other lawyers turned down my case due to the complexity of my case as well as the short timeline that remained until the hearing. The team at Gustad Law group immediately began working with me on the case. They were very friendly and were more than happy to answer all of my questions. After prepping me for the hearing everything went extremely well and I had an approval letter within a few weeks of my hearing. Thank You Gustad Law Group!
