Jefferson's in Brentwood is exactly what it is, and that's the point. It is part of a regional chain with 6 locations. This isn't fine dining and doesn't pretend to be. It's a sports bar done right wings, burgers, and oysters, with TVs everywhere you look and a menu built perfectly for the setting. Bar food that actually delivers is harder to find than people think, and Jefferson's clears that bar comfortably. Five stars for what it is. I had the buffalo chicken salad with grilled chicken, croutons held. Here's where it gets interesting, they'll toss the chicken in any of their 19 house signature sauces. Nineteen. That's not a gimmick, that's a commitment to the concept. I went with the homemade Angry Ranch on the side, which brings a little heat. Fair warning: it runs a little heavy on the vinegar for my taste, though not enough to hurt the salad. The salad itself was generous, crispy, and fresh, nothing wilted. That matters more than people give credit for. Service was by Emily, who was attentive, got my order right, and made the whole experience enjoyable. Jefferson's knows what they are. I'm not generally one to complain about a place, but we got in and our table maybe had been wiped down but not with anything wet because the entire table was sticky and just overall didn't look very clean. Our plates and forks looked somewhat half-cleaned and specifically MY food was edible but far from good, both my mom and my girlfriend ended up leaving a lot of food untouched. My girlfriend's onions on her sandwich had molded, my mom's "hamburger steak" was 2 of what I'm assuming to be frozen generic patties, because of the texture, and they were completely unseasoned, the chicken sandwich of both my girlfriend and I were super tough and hard to chew through, as if they had been cooked for too long. I ordered the oysters raw. 1/2 dozen for 14.99- a but pricey for baseline oysters and during the happy hour segment but it was what they are charging around town. They are not known for their oysters so next time I'll pass. The side condiments were cocktail and horse radish.vinegars were not an option so they lost appeal once they arrived at my table. I also ordered 5 wings for 9.99 That's two dollars per single- and they were just scraping over the average chalk line. Basic hot sauce lacked consistency with how wings looked on the menu and how they looked on my plate. Bottom line is I spend 32.90 for an average meal. This place is primarily for drinkers who are not foodies. They do have the potential however to turn it up a notch but based on the empty seats in the location it's going to take a miracle. Staying nearby at a local hotel and the front desk clerk recommended this place as it was the closest within walking distance near the hotel. This is your typical sports bar, which I don't really patronize because I am not into sports. When we first walked in we weren't really acknowledged by the waitstaff until the bartender saw us and told us to pick anywhere to sit (there's no signage to seat yourself or wait to be seated). He promptly took our drink order and then came back with our drinks and took our food order. As for the food, it was ok, but nothing stood out. We started off with the fried mushrooms and they were very small pieces and too pricey IMO at 8.99. It came with ranch dressing and they were not bad but didn't wow me; however, my friend enjoyed them as he said they were tasty but just too small. I ordered the breaded chicken fried pickle sandwich (I think I got that right) and I was disappointed because you couldn't really taste the pickles. The sandwich comes with one main side or a premium side, so I opted for the latter (side salad) and it was just lettuce, tomato, croutons, and cheese for 2.99 more (it was a good size though). My friend ordered a cheese burger and a side of potato salad and he really enjoyed his meal & said it was flavorful. Both the burger and chicken sandwich were a bargain (10.99 & 11.99) and the perfectly portioned. Service was good, but you could tell the staff was struggling to keep up (fairly busy, which is great). Overall the place fit the bill, good amount of tables, and a good selection of things to choose from in the menu. Was a sportsbar like setup with lots of TVs playing sports. Great place to hang out! I was staying at Soneta and received a good deal which was 10% off of my purchase, so went here during dinner time. The wait staff who took order for me was very nice and attentive. I wanted to have lemon ice tea which not on the menu and she served me the tea with several lemon slices which was appreciated. Stumbled into this cute place after running errands to grab some lunch with my husband. They have a small patio so we sat outside because it was a beautiful day. The patio has TVs out there so am thinking would be a good place to watch a game. My husband & I both had wraps & they were SO delish. We showed up Sunday evening and it was almost full. Found a table for our party of six. Server was super nice, but clearly the staff was hustling to keep up and the result was a slower than expected service. We ordered 2 appetizers, only 1 arrived but we weren't billed for the 2nd. The appetizer that did arrive was the quéso and chips. The queso was very good, smooth but not waxy or rubbery. They have a pretty good selection of draft beer, so we were delighted to find Shiner Cheer on tap! I had the Fried Pickle burger which was quite good and the fries were well cooked also. I was very impressed by the service and our waitress was excellent! We ordered fried pickles and mozzarella sticks to start us off. They seemed to be missing some savoriness I would have expected from these dishes. They were not bad by any means, just average. I then ordered the double dipped chicken sandwich. It was quite bland and I only ate half before stopping. I tried some of my family's food including the wings and buffalo chicken wrap and felt about the same. My husband & i tried this place bc it was listed in the City Saver... Otherwise, we didn't even know it existed... Now, we are glad to know it's in the area as a casual dining option.... Everytime I'm in Brentwood this is a must stop. They have the best fried pickles on the planet. They do not miss. It's perfection every single time. Granted, I only get it maybe once or twice a year. They recently upgraded and added more space into their main dining room. Loved the renovation. Allows for more customers and tvs with the games going on. I always get the same thing their buffalo chicken wrap and tots. I change the flavors occasionally but I haven't had a bad flavor. The servers there are really friendly. The service is quick too but that's because we are usually there when it's not crowded. I will say they need to redo their bathrooms. For the dining area to be so clean but the bathroom not....it makes you wonder. read more

We are staying in a nearby hotel so this is a beautifully short walk. We have had the cheeseburger, taco salad, and Philly cheesesteak fries and all were really good. Tonight we ordered oysters two ways and 5 wings firecracker style. Everything tonight was a bit chewy and overcooked. The service was wonderful every time and tonight Laura was super helpful! Stopped in for dinner while in Brentwood. Somewhat mixed reviews, but generally positive. The wings were excellent, so I'll start there. Just about five stars for those. Perfectly fried (crispy snap at the bite, tender to chew, meat came easily off the bone). Solid sauce selection, from the super mild to the heat levels I personally try to avoid! Enjoyed the hickory bbq the most, just a sticky, lightly smoky, slightly sweet sauce. My son also gave the tenders strong reviews--I'll say, they looked to be good sized and nicely sauced (not drowning in it). Jalapeño cheese bites were a solid appetizer as well--good flavor, not too much heat. Crinkle cut fries are what the name says, but I'd have liked a little more salt perhaps. Also did the Jeffersons burger...like the diner style patty, but lacking that fabulous sear that was needed and was light on seasoning, letting it get overwhelmed a bit by the toppings. Bacon tasted like it was decent quality, but wasn't quite crisp enough. I'd give the burger another try though could've been an off day. The space is decently sized, but I could see it filling up quickly. As others have noted, the inside is very loud. No problem at all in my book (and I loved the 90's early 00's lineup), but you need to know if that'll bother you. There is outdoor space too. Service is where it took the biggest hit and is why this is three stars instead of four. When we eventually got a server, he did a nice job--was friendly and reasonably attentive. But we sat for a solid ten minutes before anyone came to the table...and it wasn't crowded. One server walked past us at least ten times, twice to take menus to people who came in after us while we were clearly not being taken care of. I realize we presumably weren't in her section, but at least acknowledge our existence and maybe of give our server a heads up that we're there. First time customer. I got the 10 wings with Turbo sauce. Definitely sinus-clearing level. Their sauce here is quite a bit thicker than a standard Buffalo sauce so it adheres more to the wings. Keep that in mind ...more sauce = more net heat ! Larger wings than most places...especially the drummies. Shiner Bock on tap ..definitely a WIN !!! The wings come with the house-made tortilla chips and they're very fresh, light and crispy along the lines of Chuy's or Chilis chips...so if you prefer that style over the standard heavier chips you'll love them. The blue cheese dressing could use an upgrade ..it was almost gelatinous and lifeless so I wasn't a fan . Ken's off the rack at the grocery store makes better imo. I was the first one in at 10:30 am and I will say the bathroom I entered could've been cleaner. It wasn't disgusting by any means but it didn't appear to have been cleaned thoroughly just prior to opening. It takes a determined person to do that job correctly and needs inspection by a manager. My server was Emily and she was aces all-around...personable and attentive without being overly so. She scores a 10. The entire staff appeared to be efficient without a single one having that "I wish I were dead" glazed-over look you find in many establishments these days. Just walked in on a Saturday afternoon for a late lunch and got a seat at the bar with a couple of other guys doing the same thing-lol. I ordered 15 wings and fries and a cold beer. I ordered the wings medium and Hot yaki. They were cooked great and had really good flavor. I did ask for the hot wing sauce after I started eating and it definitely kicked it up a notch-bam!. I would recommend the hot flavor for the wings. The beer was ice cold and enjoyable sitting at the bar and eating, drinking and watching sports. Great ranch on the side. There are not a ton of good wings places in Nashville, but if you like traditional wings and other great food- good salad and the ranch was homemade not bottled- then I recommend stopping into Jefferson's. After temporarily dropping my rating for Jefferson's following a bad experience with a leathery chicken sandwich, the fine people of this establishment had me back and I gave it another shot. Although the chicken sandwich is still a little tough, it was much better on my second attempt. Love the vibe in here. So relaxed and the indoor and outdoor seating option is always amazing. The homemade ranch and the fry seasoning is delicious as well, and they always have amazing wings. Last time we went our server delivered some fried pickles to us that we didn't order and let us keep them, which was super nice. Their outdoor patio is super well maintained and dog friendly.
