We checked in at 9:30 last night and we were greeted by Andi. When we checked in she also ask what we would like for breakfast. Our room was comfortable. Loved the mattress. We stayed in the Sunset Room. A/C was already on in our when we checked in, so no sweating to wait for the room to calm down. This was important as we are in the midst of a heatwave. We had a goodnights rest Breakfast The coffee was ready was ready at 7am, if you wanted coffee before there is a Keurig Coffee maker too. They also had apple juice, orange juice and cranberry juice. When we sat down for breakfast we were served a fruit cup with fresh fruit. Our breakfast consisted of 4 slices of French Toast, good amount of crispy potatoes, 2 eggs (we choose over easy) 2 slices of bacon for me and 2 sausages for my husband. Im not a big eater but I ate almost everything on my plate. My husband ate all of his. It was very delicious and reminded me of a breakfast my Mom would make. I didn't get to meet Linda but I booked our Reservation with her and she was very friendly and it went smoothly. Andi was really nice and always had a smile. She pretty much did everything from making sure we had whatever we needed and to cooking breakfast for everyone there. It was almost fully booked and everyone seemed very friendly. We had an amazing view of the sunset from our window and front porch to start. And welcoming, friendly greeting when we got our key. And the best part was the breakfast! They made an egg omelet mini casserole, blueberry and apple pancakes with NH maple syrup, bacon, sausage, fruit cups, homemade chocolate chip muffins, coffee and had many juices available too. After traveling for many hours and being locked out of another hotel reservation, my friends and I were ready to sleep in our car (we just need a place to crash 6am-12pm). We made phone calls to many hotels, inns, and motels, but either the reception was closed or they were booked. Fortunately Jefferson inn answered. They gave us the tower room for that morning after having send someone to reception (their reception doesn't even open until 7). The hostess settled us in and even made us breakfast. She ensured that we would get anything we needed. Jefferson Inn was a wonderful stay. With a cozy decor and many common rooms it is a comfortable stay for couples, families, or single people. Main st. Has several places to eat and Mt. Cabot is a short drive away. Overall great stay with impeccable service. read more

Classic, awesome, friendly, and nostalgic New England Inn. Linda and Andrea run the place and they are fantastic hosts! We stayed at The Jefferson Inn for a ski weekend at Bretton Woods (only 25 minutes away). There are plenty of restaurants nearby and Santa's Village is about 1 mile away. The Inn is a great place for a family reunion that won't break the bank. They even have a barn they rent out for festive occasions. The free WiFi was zippy. We had low expectations for T-Mobile's 5G signal but, surprisingly, it was pretty good. Can't wait for our next White Mountains adventure. We'll be sure to stay at The Jefferson Inn. read more

Lovely place to stay if you're in the vicinity. We stayed overnight during our visit to Santa's Village. The hosts are very friendly, and Linda made us a tasty breakfast in the morning. The rooms are clean, and there are toys and some outdoor spaces for kids. You get a 10% discount on your daily rate if you're visiting Santa's village during your stay, which I appreciated. Would definitely consider staying here again. read more

I'm revising my rating because it's just too old and there are too many broken things here to deserve any more than 3 stars. The owners are really nice and it is a great old Victorian. But, having to fix the toilet every other time it's flushed because the chain slips off gets old fast - real fast. The homemade breakfast each morning, the goats, horses and chickens are fun for the kids, the yard is great but again, it's old. Reasonable rates. read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Rose room at the charming Jefferson Inn! Andi and Linda are delightful hosts who pour their hearts and souls into this B & B. Our room was spacious and clean, with a comfortable king size bed. Andi cooked a delicious hearty breakfast each morning, and offered suggestions for local dinner restaurants. After a day of exploring the White Mountains, we relaxed on the front porch with Andi's homemade snickerdoodles and a glass of wine while watching an amazing sunset! I called for a reservation at 2pm for two weeks from now. We decided against staying here at 8pm, hours later. I tried to call, but the line was busy, so I emailed to cancel, and was told that I'd still be charged $79.50 (again, the reservation is for 2 weeks out). That tells me all I need to know about the business practices of this establishment. Do business with the Jefferson Inn at your own peril. read more

Great place. This family owned Bed and Breakfast, is cozy, and welcoming. This is are first time here, but will will be back.

We stayed here as part of a family Reunion in January 2016. We used an upstairs suite, and three other lovely rooms for two nights. All together there were 8 of us staying here. Gwen was very attentive to our needs without being intrusive and I enjoyed talking with her. Cozy and homey and we will stay here again. read more

A quick overnight to Santa's Village in August with our youngest and a friend found us not wanting to share a hotel room, but the kids were too young to be in a room on their own. Just up the road from Santa's Village, the Jefferson Inn and Gwen came to our rescue. This large Victorian is like coming home again, bringing to mind fond memories of visits to a grandmother's or favorite aunt's house. We were able to book a "family suite" at a very reasonable price, and could even order discounted tickets to Santa's Village with our reservation - a big time & money saver. Gwen met us promptly and showed us around - there's a living room, dining room, and more on the first floor - and then to the "Country Suite", which is the two rooms on the third floor, complete with your own door to the stairs leading up to the rooms, an ensuite bathroom, and a small refrigerator in the master bedroom. The second bedroom right across the hall has two twin beds, perfect for the kids, and a TV that shows DVDs (there's a decent-sized selection downstairs of family-friendly movies you can borrow), while the master has a comfy queen-sized bed. Once checked in, we headed out for a bite to eat after looking through a binder of local restaurants' menus thoughtfully available in the living room. When we returned, we made sure to sign up at the front desk for one of the breakfast times - a great way to be sure our breakfast would be ready and waiting when we were. The kids selected a movie to watch (a Christmas one to "get them in the mood" for the next day's fun), and we settled in for the night. After a great night's sleep, we got to top off our stay with a delicious breakfast made by Gwen, who was sure to make kid-friendly versions of the yummy breakfast burritos for the younger ones in our party. One note for the coffee lovers reading this: your visit will not be complete until you've had a cup of the coffee. The beans come from a local micro-roastery, and trust me - you won't be disappointed. Take your cup out onto the large welcoming front porch, have a seat on one of the wicker couches, and take in the mountain view while sipping some caffeinated goodness. If you want to stay in a family-friendly place that feels like a home, not a cookie-cutter motel, then this is the place for you. Definitely looking forward to returning for more visits! read more
