Wow ! What a good place to stay . Wish we stayed for more days .. we could check in only after 9.30 pm and then had to leave the next day. Very good place overall .. loved the colorful lodges . Swimming pool is outdoor and mostly not used I guess . It's so cold out there :) they had a camp fire spot and they had wood / and other accessories already .. nice gesture .. they also had spots to barbeque .. support staff was so nice . They aren't available after 9pm. So make sure you call them if u have a late check in . Luckily we called and found that. Wish Expedia gave that info while booking .. Would have given 5 stars but no breakfast here , which is a negative . Beds are ok .. not that comfortable but it's worth the money spent . Nice stay overall and we will surely come back .. read more

Great little spot with a nice fire pit (wood supplied), playground for the kids etc. Rooms are small but big enough. Really enjoyed our stay here except for the couple little issues below... CONS: TINY shower!! and inconsistant water temp...flush the toilet and you'll cook the person in the shower. read more

Everything about it was as advertised: value, suitable accomodations, and service could not be outdone. Dewald and family run a fine motel, and service is sterling. It's genre 40s-50s roadside motel has a delightful charm. The view of Mt. Jefferson, Mt. Adams, Mt. Washington is stunning, and its a quiet respite. If you demand 2021 modern, don't stay here, but if you want value, and vintage charm with no pretense, I recommend it without reservation. read more

Dewalt is an awesome host. the most hospitable place on our 9 day dirtbike camping trip. a very fun family oriented place. even though it was pooring down the night my friend and i stopped in, we still had an amazing time hanging out with the other families playing dominos and board games in the office lounge area read more

We stayed at one of the cabins and it was very nice. Not quite sure where all the great views are, but the privacy of having your own little cabin is great. Right down the street is a tap for natural spring water. Overall not a bad place to stay. read more

This place is as good as it gets. If you're looking for a clean bed and quiet surroundings, this place is perfect.......but it's so much more. The owners of this family run motel are what make it special. From the time you walk through the door, you feel you're at home. You can't spend the night without sharing a laugh or hearing a good story at the communal fire pit. This place is a vacation spot for EVERYONE. There is plenty of hiking right out the front door. The runs are scenic and challenging. The pool is clear. Most importantly, they LOVE anything with an engine. Motorcycles, snow mobiles, and ATV's aren't just allowed, they're WELCOMED. Make this a stop on your vacation, or ask about renting a room for the sled season. You won't regret it. read more

Had a great stay! We booked this hotel a couple months in advance to celebrate our anniversary and take the kids away for a long weekend. We saw rain in the forecast and hoped it would clear up, we saw it wasn't going to clear up and tried to cancel the reservation. We were going to rebook a couple weeks later when the weather was better but in order to cancel we would still have to pay 50% of the booked stay. We drove 4 hours up in the pouring rain. We got to the hotel about 15 minutes before check in...check in was quick & easy, no hidden fees. It was a great price. We went to our room and were pleasantly surprised to find a nice roomy room for our family of 4. We had plenty of space to put the pack n play for baby. The room was clean and the beds were comfy. The toilet didn't work initially and we told the office. They immediately sent someone and it was fixed (valve was shut off...which I realized was probably because the toilet just runs constantly). The free wifi did not work at all. We had 2 tablets and 2 phones and weren't able to connect on any of the devices. They offer free coffee anytime in the office, have a nice pool with toys for the kids, a big open grassy area for the kids to play, and a fire pit that anyone staying can use. They do allow animals and unfortunately for us meant a barking dog next door. I have already recommended the hotel to a few. It was a nice place and I would definitely stay here again. read more

Friendly, professional staff. I'm very thankful they even went to the length of sending my phone charger that I left there back to my home. You would never find that level of customer service at a big corporate hotel chain. Comfortable beds with memory foam, only disappointment was they didn't have an extra cot available, for a 3rd member of our party, just since they were all in use, but likely if we had called earlier or arrived earlier they would have accommodated. AC worked well and got room to comfortable temperature. Quiet surroundings. Decent size room/good accommodations for the price and clean. Nice view of Mt. Jefferson/White mountains right outside our hotel room. read more

Affordable for the area during peak times compared to some other options. Don't expect hotel amenities, but consider this a good spot for a night's sleep when you're in the area. Most important thing to us is the cleanliness of the place we stay with our children and this motel delivered on that front. Clean towels and beds and sealed cups are nice. Toilet was sealed for our freshness. Beds are low to the ground but comfortable. We had to plug in the alarm clock and set the time. The office isn't always available. We checked in around 3:15 PM and they were just opening, but it didn't affect us in anyway. I spoke with another couple that pre-checked-in on the phone as they were running late, so they do manage to get you into your room. I walked up to the office the evening we stayed looking for the Wi-Fi password (couldn't see the network from the room) and the office was closed, but there was some private function going on. I didn't interrupt, as a result, I felt that I didn't get the best service, but I wasn't in NH to surf the web. Maybe a number I could have called with my quick question would have been nice. There is no number for the office or a caretaker in the room, though I'm sure I could have looked up a main number. Looks like they allow pets, but the rooms don't smell like pets. There is a small food truck that does wood fired pizzas. A neat idea, but we didn't partake. Not sure if it's available every night or just weekends. Pool looked clean but didn't swim. There are some swings for the kids. There were other families here and everyone looked like they were having a good time. We ate at the Wagon Wheel and saved 10% because of our stay. - read more

I stayed here and I am so happy I did. The staff was really friendly and personable. The rooms were clean. The wifi was strong. I spent some time having a friendly conversation with the owners and felt right at home before I even hit up the room. Strongly recommend read more

One of the best places I have ever lodged in! I so enjoyed the sweet little rooms (which have AWESOMELY comfortable beds!). Have colorful charm, noticeable love put into each piece of the motel. The family that owns it is incredibly gracious, friendly, and generous. They will chat with you, exchanging stories and lots of laughs. We had a ton of wet towels that had gotten soaked in the rain a day before, and upon arrival they offered to wash and dry them for us, seeing how overwhelmed we were with all of the rest of our wet, unwashable gear was (we had been camping). It's not souped up with video arcades or anything overly fancy, but they have bbq's, nightly fires, swings, a salt pool, tvs in the rooms, and a well kept place altogether. Great atmosphere, great service, hope to be back soon!!!! read more

Very colorful and bright atmosphere. Ac units and heating units provided. read more

Incredibly polite staff. Very welcoming and sweet. Must admit we were a little hesitant at first, looks nothing like we have ever stayed at before, but it's night two so far and we've had a great time. Would recommend this place to anybody and would most definitely stay here again. Glad we found it! read more

I stayed here last weekend when I was in town for a family wedding. In fact, my family descended on the unsuspecting town of Randolph, NH, and we filled several of the cabins here. What a gem of a place! The cabins themselves are clean, comfortable and well-maintained. This is not the lap of luxury, of course, but you knew that. Our cabin had a comfy bed, a working air conditioner, a functioning TV and clock radio, and a little kitchenette with all the basics. The shower was nice and hot. The draw here is the sense of community that the owners have cultivated. The cabins encircle a grassy lawn with a fire pit, a swimming pool, a grand tree with tire swings, and a little train car from which they serve wood-fired pizza on Friday and Saturday nights. In the main lobby, there is an impressive assortment of games and puzzles that guests may borrow, as well as a nice stock of maps and info about the local area. The owners are, hands down, the friendliest and most hospitable people I have ever met. Requests for fresh towels are met with clean fresh towels and a genuine smile. We had tons of family in town, so the owner cheerfully suggested that we might want to use the lobby sitting area to hang out. She set up clean glasses for the wine we brought, dug out a few decks of cards, and let us congregate there, eating and chatting all evening long. When I expressed curiosity about a magazine in Afrikaans, I was given a wonderful South African cookbook as a souvenir. The cell service and WiFi are nonexistent in the cabins, but the owner knew we were coordinating lots of moving parts for the wedding weekend, so she simply lent us the cordless from the office for as long as we needed it. This is a really special, sweet place. read more

All I can say is thank you! Our car broke down right in front of Mount Jefferson View Motel in the pouring rain. We had no cell reception and asked to use the phone. We decided to take a room with our two dogs. The rooms are cute with the charm from the era when they were built. Once the rain stopped we got to enjoy the amazing view from our front door and take our dogs for a walk on the trail that leaves right behind the cabins. We will be back! read more

Nice location, clean room, very helpful and friendly front desk. Would be better if the heater is less noisy at night.

The purpose for our stay was for the Presidential traverse hike. Mt Jefferson view is only 2 miles from Valley Way/Appalachia trailhead where we picked up the shuttle. Our intention was to leave our car in the lot, but the gentleman at the desk graciously offered to drop us off and leave our car with them and pick us up when we completed our hike. He also accommodated our request to shower at the end of our 4 days on the mountain. The motel is quaint, clean, comfortable and the setting is lovely, with views of the mountains. They are updated with a country feel to the rooms. There is a pool, pretty grounds and areas to cook out. It is also convenient to Gorham for dining. I have to emphasize how much we appreciated the friendliness and accommodating nature of all at the Mt Jefferson View. We will absolutely be back. read more

Deceiving and a liar is what the owner is. We prepaid a week in advance for a one week stay in the alleged newly renovated cabin #29 for snowmobiling this past February vacation. We arrived Friday night to no water (frozen pipes) and the owner drinking beer. The owner gave us keys to another room so that we could shower and use the bathroom. Told us he'd have the whole thing fixed by dinner time that night. That came and went and still no water. He is very un-professional most the time. We went out all day Saturday snowmobiling only to find the water had still not been fixed. He then tells us that he's booked and has no other room for showers or bathroom use. He said " I did everything the plumber told me to do". We demanded all of our money back and he obliged. Not sure if it's legal to rent a room or cabin without properly running facilities. The cabins are old and run down and new sheets weren't put on the beds prior to another one of our stays here. We gave this owner several chances to redeem himself and he fell short every time. Our vacation was salvaged by a very accommodating Town and Country Inn and Resort in Gorham, which we should have stayed at in the first place. I can't see this place surviving for long under this ownership. It's too bad because with the right ownership, this is a gold mine. read more

Stayed here in mid summer, 2014. We stayed in one of the cabins. It was a great deal. Full size bed and bunk beds comfortably slept 2 adults and 2 toddlers. Also had a small fridge, cook top, microwave and toaster. It was very clean aside from a small amount of mildew on the shower ceiling. There is a pool that seemed well kept and the grounds were very neat. It is a very short ride from Santa's Village and a little longer to Storyland. There is a great pizza place in Gorham (Mountain Fire) up the road (~15-20min) the motel manager recommended. There is also a breakfast place ~5 minutes away. Other than that, there really aren't many places to buy food. However, we like how rural it is. Beware there is essentially no ATT wireless signal near this place. They do have wifi but it doesn't really reach out to the cabins very well. Overall, at $90 it is an outstanding value. If it were much more, I'd be a bit disappointed but at that price, I'd recommend it to anyone. We were very happy with our decision to stay here. read more

This was a last minute booking so we didn't expect much. Upon arrival it looked like candy land. The cabin was tiny but has everything you would need. The shower took 10 mins to get hot water but the pressure was ok. The room was tidy but not CLEAN. The room had a musty smell that was amplified when the ac was turned on. Towels and bedding were clean. The bed was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever slept on including the pillows to match. The owner seemed really nice and there was a pool that looked like fun and an area for kids to play. There's a fire pit and gas grille available to use. read more
