From the jump there were red flags; in retrospect I should have realized and not chosen them, but alas. Hopefully this review can save others the money and headache! Our HVAC system was antiquated and needed replacing, so I reached out to Quality Home. I was given a quote $3,000 over my budget. When I said as much they immediately said they could meet me at my price point which makes me wonder... Why the high quote to begin with? Where would that extra $3k have gone? The day of the install went okay. They took a few hours longer than they said they would which disrupted my workday, but fine - I can understand that. I was never sent photos of the condenser on the roof which I was promised - I had to ask a few times to get those. Our new HVAC worked well for a few weeks, then started randomly shutting off. During peak heat times. I'd come home from work to a boiling house. Our thermostat kept saying it was running too long with no change in temperature. I brought this up to my contact at the company - a director level guy - and he told me my thermostat was "trash" and it needed to be replaced. Me, knowing nothing about this stuff, went along and agreed to pay the $400+ for a new thermostat. It turns out that the actual issue was that the folx doing the installation wired the entire thing incorrectly. I was still charged full price for the thermostat/install and offered no apology. My old thermostat was better and easier to use. Fast forward a few months and I noticed our HVAC was leaking water. I called them in a panic as we were going out of town, it was the heat of summer, and I didn't want our cat to overheat. They were able to come out quickly (for a high fee) and told me the leaking was due to us not changing our filter frequently enough. I was again charged $400+ for this. It seemed weird to me that a dirty filter would cause leaking, but again... not my area of expertise. I took their advice and started changing our filter at the cadence recommended. Guess what? Still leaking. A LOT. This is definitely an HVAC issue, not a filter issue as our filters are pretty pristine. I've been trying to get in touch with my same contact (and others) for literal weeks and am being met with total silence. I want to talk to someone about this but it appears that professionalism isn't a value of Quality Home HVAC. Moral of the story? Absolutely go with a different company - I wouldn't wish this experience on anyone.

They sent a tech to fix it the other day -- he claimed to have found & fixed the issue, but lo and behold, the next night, my home's temperature fell to 60 degrees (in the winter time). Every number leads to the same crappy automated central line, and everyone I speak to has told me "they can't get ahold of someone." I am going to be demanding a refund of the full cost of my HVAC system, as clearly it does not function. Terrible service, terrible product. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

This company is disorganized, unprofessional and the front office needs to figure it out. Not sure if Marc and the sales teams are over promising and Dalco under delivering, but we won't be taken advantage and just go with a estimate that was almost identical. I'd say steer clear for a while and hopefully they figure out how to schedule clients and run a smooth business.

Our 2 story house is roughly 3300 sq ft including the basement. The builder previous name William Lyon at the time installed all the homes with a 2.5 Ton Rheem A/C. Based on my amateur research a 3000 sq ft house should of required a 4-5 Ton system to effectively cool the house. After just one year the A/C was not cooling down below 75. TM warranty department called Eastside and sent out Efren the tech to diagnose the problem he found out the TXV (thermal expansion valve) was bad and ordered the part for replacement. Efren came back a week later and replaced the part and he was very detailed and friendly and even cleaned the coils inside the A/C fan. Now the A/C is much better and I can cool down to 70 degrees on a hot day. I've heard conflicting answers on wether or not to close vents in basement for more airflow to upstairs. What I did is I kept one basement vent open but closed rest of them and upstairs does indeed get more cooler air. One more thing I learned is that A/C systems do not draw fresh air from the outside instead they recirculate indoor air. With all the recent smoke pollution, it's actually better to keep windows closed and use A/C. Even though I believe our builder A/C is undersized for the house, but the team at Eastside have been very helpful and professional and I highly recommend them for HVAC work. Nothing is better than chilling in a cool house when it's 100 degrees out. Good job and thanks Efren!

We had a 3 year old furnace, and they recommended we match the furnace equipment. (They also conveniently worked with and stocked that same brand). The estimator left and we had a full quote and contract emailed to us quickly. The quote was very fairly priced. It was exactly what I imagined a new AC unit would cost with installation. I was able to price out the equipment myself, and it wasn't unreasonable given the labor involved. I did get several quotes from other HVAC companies and all the other quotes were several thousand dollars more, and did not quote the same brand. Tobin gave us everything we wanted. We scheduled the work a few weeks later and again Tobin's people arrived promptly during the specified time frame. They got to work removing the old equipment and installed the new units, lines, electrical and got everything charged up and tested. The whole process took less than 5 hours. They gave me some tips, answered any questions I had and generally did a good clean job. I would highly recommend Tobin. The other big name guys charged a big name price. Tobin doesn't appear to have nearly as big of an advertising presence, but they were just as professional.
