Terrible, terrible, terrible. I would never use them again. They delivered the debris box on time but after that everything has been a nightmare. I have called repeatedly and emailed and sent pictures of the damage done to my property. The owner, Joe is very slippery and when I finally got him on the phone he did nothing to try to fix the damage. I see others have had the same bad experience and gave only one star. I plan to call the Better business Bureau and I suggest others do the same...I really wish I had read these reviews first. read more

I just received a message from a person whose husband is the driver company use. She basically told me I was such a liar and it's my husband's fault for not counting how many boxes we've used. It's their job to track and he professional about it. We even paid that driver $100 tip so he could come out to pick up one of the boxes. He came to pick up because he was getting $100 tip. This place is a joke we've used their services for many years. The last 2-times they delivered the wrong height dumpster we had the 1st time we had to send the wrong height dumpster back and pay more for an additional delivery for the correct height dumpster. I was quite specific on both orders on what we ordered a BIG mistake on their part I was very specific on May 8th the last order that the dumpster could not be any taller than 4', due to mobility issues, which they pulled the same lame delivery of a 6' tall dumpster that was much too high for us to throw junk away. I have no signed agreement either. So the second time we sent the dumpster back the same morning since this did not meet our requirements they emailed me an agreement to sign after the fact, which of course I declined to sign. We ordered through another dumpster company with much better customer service! They delivered exactly the height we requested. Don't use these scammers they are unprofessional and send dumpsters that do not meet your criteria and over charge customers for ugly tagged blithe to the neighborhood dumpsters. Also they'll park the dumpster on the street with these very tall dumpsters and is a serious blind spot when pulling out of our driveway! read more

Did not deliver on the day that was scheduled, did not receive a courtesy call, and once finally delivered did not place the hauling box on the driveway as requested. Called for a pick up of the hauling box and was assured box will be picked up within 4 days, 9 days later the box is still not picked up. At this point I am dealing with code enforcement and penalties. JD Hauling services is charging me full fees and will not help me as a customer to resolve issues I am incurring directly as a result of their lack of professionalism. I cleaned out a big house. Needed four dumpsters and got all four from JD. Service and price were good. One small problem: With the third dumpster there was a mixup on their end and they came the next day to pick it up before I had finished with it. Luckily I was around and was able to straighten things out. I would never trust any dumpster company to position a container correctly so one thing is that I always made sure of was that I was around when a dumpster was delivered. JD was good about delivery times so when they said that they were going to show up in the morning they did. One reviewer commented that the "containers are filled with holes and are an eyesore. " True but in general dumpsters have holes and are an eyesore and the ones from JD are no worse than average. Another thing is that JD in some cases needs several business days between when you say that they can hall away the dumpster and when they come so plan accordingly. read more

This is one of the most unorganized and unprofessional services I have ever had. They never came and picked up the dump the day we were told, after calling them numerous times and having to reschedule the pick up date 3 times (which took about 4 weeks!) they finally picked up the dump. When we called the company about our dump not being picked up on time they never ONCE apologized for the inconvenience, which should be one of the first things they should say after not picking the dump up on the right day the first time. I am a general contractor that use debris box services very often as much as 3 times a week. I decided to use these scammers for the first time. I have very tight time frames and they promised me that I would have the box delivered early in the morning. At 3:00 pm the dumpster arrived and I lost a whole day of demolition which cost me $800.00 in labor. We filled the box as we always do and had the box removed. Again the box was removed 2 days later which messed up my time schedule with other sub contractors. The debris box was in the way. Next worst thing is that I was Charged!!!!!!! an obsured amount of $1,100.00. This is crazy I have never been charged like this before for a debris box. JD charges you $650 for a 40 yard box with a weight limit of 4 tons ( This is the normal weight limit for a 20yd box). when you go over they charge a over priced rate of $90 per ton. Rewood charges you $675 for a 40 yard box with a 6 ton limit. when you go over they charge a normal rate of $80 per ton. I would never use these guy's again and if you are reading this comment! "PLEASE, PLEASE DON"T USE THESE GUY'S!!!!!!! I AM A CONTRACTOR WHO DOES THIS DAILY AND I GOT SCAMMED AND RIPPED OFF BY THESE GUY'S!!!! STAY AWAY!!! We've used this company several times over the past 8 months, and maybe once did they pick up the box when they said they would. This time they were suppose to pick up Monday. They didn't. We called. They said, Oh 4 business days. It's Friday. They still haven't picked it up. We called. They said Monday. It's simple: Don't say you'll pick up on a date then not honor that. I WILL NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! We where having a new roof put on our house and the roofing crew used JD Hauling to haul off the old material. Long story short the guy delivering the dumpster not only broke several branches of the cherry threes in the front yard he also hit my car. AFTER THE DRIVER HIT MY CAR AND LEFT WITH OUT SAYING ANYTHING! I tried to contact the company to resolve the incident and they gave me the worst customer service. I had to file a police report and have the officer call them twice to get a manager to call me back! The owner finally called me and was about as unhelpful as possible. I could tell he did not want to take any accountability for the indecent and it took several days just to start resolving the situation. This could have been a simple exchange of insurance information and everyone could have moved on with life but it had to be a JD Hauling driver that hit me... The roofer was expecting to have to pay to fix my car because in his past experience with JD Hauling they will do what every they can to not be held liable for any damages they cause to other peoples property. NO WONDER THEIR BBB RATING IS F! I would highly recommend using another hauling company. read more

JD Hauling Services met all of my expectations, they were easy to deal with and very professional. For starters they are one of the only companies I called that answered the phone, they also quoted the best price for what I needed. They emailed me the necessary forms to set up service and I signed and returned them electronically - this was so convenient! The bin showed up the next day, which was great because we were trying to get all of our construction debris out of our yard as quickly as possible. After some hesitation I thought I'd give this company another try today despite my previous poor experience with them, particularly their former office manager who is now gone. After taking the order today the lady I talked to put me on hold for a long time, then Wendy picked up the line and said they are not going to deliver a box to my location. I can only conclude that this is their form of payback for my last Yelp review, which I think was actually pretty fair. My only regret is that I paid them promptly last time and didn't take them to small claims court after they twice delivered the wrong type of boxes last year, and charged me extra for their mistake. I had placed an order for a debris box (a dumpster basically) and was told that it would be delivered the next day in the morning. After waiting all morning and a good part into the afternoon, it still hadn't arrived. Instead of calling me just to say "hey, we're sorry that we're running a little late, your box will be here at x time", the guy on the phone hung up on me when I called him to find out why they didn't even have the common decency to call me. When I called back all I heard from the "owner" or whatever he is was that so many people owe him money, blah blah, blah... not even an "I'm sorry... not my problem buddy that all these people owe you money, maybe it's because you have such poor service that they don't want to pay you... maybe you could at least TRY to learn from your mistakes. I have been doing business with them for a little over a year and everyone there is always willing to help make the transaction as smooth as possible, which in the construction industry is sometimes pretty difficult. I used JD Services for the first time and will never use them again. They were terrible from dropping off the dumpster to picking it up. They Scheduled to drop it off and ended up dropping it off the next day after me constantly calling and following up. I had to do the same with having them pick it up. I called to have it picked up and they let me know it may take up to 4 days. Here I am on day 5 with the dumpster in front of the house still. Also I requested it be dropped on my driveway and they dropped it off on the street. I didnt expect such horrible service, as a re modeler I shall take my services else were and would recommend everyone else to do the same. I am every organized and have a set schedule in which I am on a time crunch I dont have time for these things. It is a very simple job, drop off and pick up. I have enough people to micro manage and dont need simple services holding us back from moving forward. I had guys waiting that day scheduled to clean up that job site yet no one showed. I'm confirming what other posters have mentioned about this business on google as well as in other Yelp reviews for their burlingame location (same business, but under the name JD Hauling) about not picking up the debris/dumpster when they say they will...and then not committing to any time at all for pickup. The box was delivered on 10/17/2017. Rental was for 10 days max. My husband called for pickup on 10/25/2017 for pickup and was told it would be 1-4 days (business) before they would be out. He called again on 10/31/2017 and was told that it was in the system and they would send a reminder (not sure to whom since I wasn't on that call. I called again today, 11/2/2017, and the first gal said it takes 1-4 days to get in the system to schedule pickup. I noted that since it's been in the system for over a week, she should be able to tell me now when it was scheduled. She said she couldn't tell me and that it takes 1-4 days and that she couldn't give me a scheduled time. At this point, she decided to switch me over to a "supervisor" Wendy. Wendy first asked my name and what town I lived in (so it wasn't communicated and she didn't actually ask for my address to look anything up...just the town...sounded like standard operating procedure to interrupt my complaint. She then said they were short drivers and that she had expected it to be picked up today, but she wasn't sure and that it'd be when a driver was available and that she couldn't give me a scheduled time or day. She said she would take my number and text me when a driver was available. I said that she needed to give me a scheduled time now, that they have had notice of more than a week and that she should be able to tell me when they would pick up. Then she stated that to avoid this problem in the future, next time I should "preschedule" pickup and they would be able to give me a date. I then stated that we "prescheduled" last week and she should be able to give me a time. Her response was, I can't give you a date. It could be today, it could be tomorrow, it could be next week. The dumpster is a massive eyesore (beat up and covered with graffiti - not the nice green one they have on their web site) and blocking our driveway. My husband has to drive on our newly landscaped front yard to get the electric car in and out and we can't park our other vehicle in the driveway. It's still here. I'll update this continually until that damn thing is picked up. Update 11/3 - after posting this on google and all the yelp entries associated with this business, and after my husband cancelled his credit card to avoid getting erroneous fraudulent charges that others have mentioned, they picked the ugly box up today at 12:40 pm. I've used JD Hauling three times now for my remodel and have had excellent service all three times. Today - the delivery driver backed out of our lane (not an easy task I might add) to turn the truck around and get the dumpster door closer to where my pile of junk is. I asked JD to call me when the box was going to be delivered, and they did just that -- told me the box was on it's way and to expect it with in the hour... and that's exactly when it arrived. read more

The contractor working on my new driveway hired these guys. The contractor is wonderful,JD Services were terrible! First they said they'd be at my house in the morning--they got there about six hours late so the contractor lost half a day. Then they said they'd be back first thing in the morning next day to pick up the trailer--I heard the driver say this. They didn't show up until the afternoon costing the contractor another day on the job and delaying completion of the project until after the weekend so now I still can't park in my driveway and I live in a place with very little on-street parking. It gets worse: the truck got stuck trying to get out of my driveway and after about 90 minutes of spinning his wheels and choking the neighborhood with exhaust, the driver asked to "borrow" some plywood to put under the wheels of the truck. I told him the wood would break, he said he didn't think it would. It was 3/4" plywood and his truck weighs about 20,000 pounds. Even I can do that math. He put the wood under the tires, then took out a bunch of concrete from the load he was supposed to be hauling away and also put that under his tires to get additional grip. He eventually got the truck out and once he made it over the lip of the sidewalk he just drove away leaving a horrible mess: broken and splintered plywood, chunks of concrete he was be paying paid to haul away, a divot in the city's sidewalk, and several giant gouges in what had been graded earth. JD Hauling delayed my project by several days and increased the amount of labor my contractor has to do. This was a 100% terrible experience. read more

They were great about getting the concrete dumpster to our house, but we had a terrible time getting them to commit to any kind of reasonable timeframe for pick up, which impacted the next steps of our project. I called on a Wednesday for Monday pick up, that didn't happen. After being told it takes 1-4 business days for pick up, the dumpster was still there the following Wednesday. I was then told that they can't guarantee pick up in 4 days; that it depends on other pick ups that were placed earlier and available trucks in my area. They were unable to tell me whether it would be picked up the next day or even within 2 weeks! Of course, I could pay an additional $150 for expedited pick up that same day. After much frustration, I called them at 11:35am to pay for the expedited pick up. The dumpster was picked up at 11:50am that same day. Felt like I'd been suckered into paying the additional money. Of course, that meant that everyone else waiting for their pick up got pushed back due to my expedited pick up. I would have given zero stars if that was an option. read more

DO NOT USE THIS FIRM!! Scammers of the worst sort. The one star is only to post the yelp report - they are AWFUL. We hired a container for 5 days - they delivered after 5pm on day one, wasting a day of our project, then collected early on day 3, not day 5 when we were out - stealing 2 days of rental. In addition, their driver, who claimed to have big rig experience, demolished our wall and ran over lights, shrubs and another wall on each visit. Complaints have got us nowhere. Joe, who is NOT a standup guy, has been flatout rude and refused to refund any part of the rental, or even apologise, let alone pay for, the damage, just pointing to the fine print on the receipt which says they deny all claims. They don't care what they do and will not listen to any issues. Tips - do not use them; if you are nuts enough to do so always pay in cash so they cannot charge your card for services they don't provide; and take photographs of the damage so you can claim repair costs from them. read more

SAVE YOURSELF FRUSTRATION AND DONT USE THEM. Honestly I wouldn't even give them 1 star. They were very friendly when scheduling but after everything was scheduled the attitude changed. They informed me they could not set a certain time due to traffic etc which I totally understood. I was told that the box /driver would be here about noon. At noon I called for an eta and was told that they couldnt provide an exact time but he would be here within 2 hours. At 2pm I called again and was once again told that they couldnt give me an exact time but they would call the driver for an eta and call me back. They did NOT call me back. Half an hour later I called back and was told that the driver was about 15 minutes away (which should have got him here by 3pm) but due to traffice they could not confirm that. They like to blame things on traffic. At 3:15 I called again and was told that the driver was stuck in traffic and would be here in about 15 minutes. I checked the local online live traffic website and found freeway traffic to be moving at 58-62 mph to which the girl on the phone replied "well Im obviously not on the freeway so I dont know" I asked to reschedule I was told that there was a $125 fee to do so. I explained that my office closes at 4pm and we would have to cancel. They then told me that since the driver was so close I would be charged $150 cancellation fee. They dont seem to care about you- only making money. Bad business ethics, bad people skills and bad liars. read more

I ordered a dumpster on the recommendation of a friend who knew the owner. I won't recommend them to anyone. Although the base-price quoted was reasonable and the contract agreeable, there were several things "omitted" and customer service regarding these issues leaves much to be desired. We did our part following their guidelines by calling for pick-up before the due date. If we hadn't, we would have been charged more "by-the-day." They didn't pick up the dumpster for another 6+ days. During that time "other people" continued to add to the partially filled dumpster. When it was picked up, the tonnage was "about 100 pounds over weight" according to Wendy, so there was an "overage fee" added to our invoice. A call to JD resulted in an, "It's the customer's responsibility. You should have covered it and even that doesn't always deter people from putting things in it." My response was, "If you had picked it up within a few days of our call, I wouldn't have needed to cover it. You left it there 6 days - over the weekend when people have a chance to clear things out." They also had told my husband they would "pick it up when they had a driver or a need for it." In other words, when it was convenient for them. So we "paid" them to store it at our home. Also, it was the most DANGEROUS dumpster I've ever seen. The metal was torn open on 2 sides with VERY SHARP edges and a BIG hole in the bottom. What price do you put on safety? I won't use them again.
