I just bought a set of rock sliders for my off-road rig and needed it to be welded on to the frame. Joe, the owner, was quick to response and gave me a fixed, not to exceed quote and time need for the job. I show up to his place the following day and he immediately noticed that he underestimated time required for the install. The legs and mounting plates have to measured and trimmed and welded together before going on to the rig. Joe had a very positive attitude and continually ask me for opinions on where and how the rock sliders need to be positioned. The job took double the time he estimated. Throughout the whole time, he never asked for additional compensation. I did paid a bit extra than what we agreed on knowing that he put in so much time into the job. I think the rocks slider turns out looking really great and very sturdy. I will definitely come back if I have other welding needs from my rig.

This company saved my too toosh!!…read more I had two guys up in Oakland (from Orange County) to do a job and they were pulling a trailer full of kitchen equipment with them. One of the wheels and hubs came off while on the freeway and stranded my guys at night time. We have no resources up there nowhere to turn and were really in a bad place. I called a few places before getting a hold of my mobile mechanic, they empathized with my situation and you could really tell that they wanted to help. I will preface this that I got a little nervous about calling anyone that is "emergency repair" or "mobile services" because I've had bad experiences in the past. It seems like a lot of these companies know that you are desperate and have nowhere to turn so once they get there, if you choose them, the charges are just going to go on forever. That wasn't the case with these guys though. They called a tow truck to get my trailer off the freeway,, they had the trailer brought back to their shop even though they really don't have a place there to work on trailers. He knew I was in a bad position, made an exception and it really helped out. The next morning, they called around and found the parts needed for my trailer got the hub replaced and my guys back on the road for Southern California. I honestly don't know what I would've done without these guys other than trying to have this trailer dragged up onto a car hauler trailer and towed back home to figure out what I was going to do with it once I got here. Even then, I don't even know if my trailer would've still been on the side the freeway once I was able to get back to it the next morning. I have a lot of respect for these guys and it's nice to see that there are still honest companies out there. Although the repair wasn't what I would call cheap, all things considered I felt like I definitely came out ahead. I wasn't overcharged, they charged honest rates for work completed that was much needed

On the blue section, and there was some over-spray and it has a yellowish green tint. It took him a few quick minutes to mix some dye and he didn't really spot check for match. I asked if he could match it better but he said it could make it worse. There was also over-spray. Frankie just blocks off the untouched spot by holding a piece of cardboard. It wasn't precision and care. Also, deep scratches could be sanded, smoothed and polished to match, but he doesn't go to this level of service. He just applies putty over it and lets you know it will leave a lump. However, the match on black was very good, almost perfect. But it felt rough due to the over-spray. Overall, I had expected a more precise hand polishing process and care for matching, but it was just quick spray paint. Deep scratches really didn't get resolved. The car is now a collectors item. I was hoping for a level of quality that matches the prestige. EDIT In response to the owner; I do not use Yelp much and do not write many reviews. But they are bad experiences that are memorable enough to share and I provided evidence (invoices and pictures) to support it. The owner's lack of accountability in his response should be a concern. I've had someone asking about his work the past few weeks (2025: 9 years later) and it prompted me to help this person and update the review and even tone it down a tad for the owner's benefit. 1 and 2. The pictures uploaded appear the same quality as the original but resized. Don't believe otherwise as the owner leads you to believe. Many of you have uploaded pictures and know this is is a lie. I believe Yelp will also dispute the owner on the quality of their site. 3. As for repairing scratches, I had no issues and mearly shared the level of service ($350 - in 2016 dollars) for the community, but the owner has a problem with me sharing it. 4. The car was just as pristine in 2016 as today 2025, 1,500 miles later. I have the invoices on the work, dated before Frankie's job. In fact, I should probably write a review on it since the owner seems to have a problem with me not writing good reviews, especially if it is redundant to many other good reviews. 5. The owner is lying about the date of the job and timing of my review. The job was done on 2/6/2016. My review was dated 5/7/2016. I moved away from the area June 2016 and was very busy with preparing for the move and finishing up my life there. 6. The owner claimed he could make it right, but as he mentioned during the job, he did not want to fix the mismatch. I had no reason to contact him further. I moved to a different area a few months later and had more important concerns than the owner's job and was fine with just writing a review. The owner needs to own it.

During removal of a fence post, their crew broke multiple patio pavers, displaced perimeter bricks, and exposed concrete footing. This patio was professionally installed and represented a significant investment. Photographic and video evidence of the damage has been preserved. The on-site supervisor stated there was "no way" to remove the post without causing damage. That statement is inaccurate. This is the second time fencing has been replaced at this property, and prior licensed contractors performed the same work without damaging the finished patio surface. Since the incident, I have: * Contacted the project supervisor multiple times * Left voicemail messages * Contacted the office directly * Attempted to reach ownership No response has been provided. As a licensed California contractor performing work within an HOA community, California Fences is responsible for property damage caused during the course of work. I have formally requested their General Liability insurance information and written confirmation of repair. I prefer resolution over escalation. I am requesting immediate contact to resolve this matter professionally.
