My wife and I needed to get our master bedroom and master bathroom remodeled. We wanted new tile…read morein the bathroom, new carpet in the bedroom, and both rooms painted. Because I feared getting paint on the carpet, I decided to do the tile first, followed by the painting, followed by the carpet. My concern was that the new carpet might end up with paint on it if we painted after the new carpet was installed. KDL Painting did a fantastic job and I now have no concerns that they would have messed up the carpet. In fact, they were the heroes of my renovation and still overcame the setbacks caused by the carpet installation crew. My wife attempted to get a quote from three different companies on Angie's List. One company that advertised no job was too small never even responded after the initial conversation despite two attempts of ours to follow-up. KDL Painting provided a quote, and so did a third company although it took the third company several days longer than they were supposed to. Despite the third company's quote being a little less than KDL Painting's quote, the third company's quote had very little detail. It didn't mention how many coats of paint they would do. It didn't mention if they would paint the trim. It didn't mention which of us provided any materials. I didn't feel confident that they and I were on the same page because there were so many unresolved questions in my mind. Couple that with how long it took to even get that quote combined with KDL Painting's quote that answered nearly all my questions and made me confident that we were on the same page, and the decision to go with KDL Painting was easy. Ask any painter and they all tell you the same thing; the preparation is the key. They all claim to do good prep. But they just don't. Kevin at KDL Painting told me they would sand the walls? Never heard of a painter doing that. Of course they would caulk everything. Sure they would! I knew this was going to go well though within about the first ten minutes when I spotted Kevin removing a light switch wallplate I had forgotten to remove in a closet. He had no idea I was watching but proceeded to prepare the way I would want my house to be prepared. After he removed the wallplate, he did something astonishing. He used a tool to scrape off that little ridge of paint around the edge of where the wallplate had been. You know, that ridge of paint left by the previous painter that was too lazy to remove the wallplate. Imagine my surprise when I checked in later to discover them actually sanding the walls. No kidding! They even have a tool for it. The previous paint job was sloppy making their job even more difficult due to the change in paint color. But they found a way to make the walls look great despite having to cover a completely contrasting paint that sometimes lived in places they weren't even supposed to paint. They caulked, they sanded, they painted. And when they were done, that part of my house looked like a new house! They made it look easy, but I know better. Our master bedroom has a speaker mounted in the wall that had yellowed over time. The rest of the room looked so good, I hated to leave it that way. Kevin was more than happy to paint it for me. To prevent brush marks on the plastic speaker bezel, Kevin was going to spray paint it. While we discussed my concern over spray paint landing on the speaker cone, one of his crew took the speaker and removed the plastic bezel from the physical speaker to prevent any concern I had, and then took the bezel outside to paint. This is fantastic because it shows that not only does Kevin have high standards and a desire to please his customer, so does his crew. KDL Painting saved the day in two other ways as well. First, the tile job installers wouldn't paint the new quarter round they installed and they didn't bother to let me know that in advance. Fortunately, KDL took care of that for me. And the carpet installation crew? Even after pointing out multiple times that the walls had just been painted and to please be careful, they managed to scuff paint off multiple places and chip some moulding. Contractors hate having to come back to the job site after they feel like they have finished. KDL Painting was extremely accommodating about that when they came back for a couple things I wanted and took care of the carpet installation damages for me too! In just a couple weeks, KDL Painting proved to me that I can trust them. They completed the job within the timeframe they said they would. That's something that neither the tile or carpet crew managed to do. They didn't damage any of the tile or carpet work. I can't tell you how good it feels to find a contractor you know you can trust. KDL Painting was a real asset during our renovation and really felt like more of a partner than a contractor. This all brings me to the most important question, would I hire them again? You can count on it.

Do not use this company!!! We contracted them to do a new roof as well as some interior…read morerenovations including a new bathroom. They were not the least expensive bid we had but they came recommended. However, our experience was horrendous. When we first met the contractor, we liked him a lot. We showed him the roof work and the soffit and fascia that needed to be fixed. He said no problem and that would just require a "little more wood". We received 3 quotes and they were the highest of all 3 but again they came recommended and said they could do the interior work as well. The other 2 quotes (cheaper than Arrack) included replacing/repairing the fascia/soffit and gutters. We assumed the Arrack bid did as well. When the roof was completed, the fascia/soffit and gutters were not fixed. When asked, we were told that it was not included in the bid even though we specifically talked about it. Instead, they present me with a quote to complete that work which was another $3,000. Again, my other lower bids included this work. Why would I pay over $9,700 for a roof that should have cost about $8,000. I had 2 other roofs replaced in the last year on other properties (larger than this one) that cost just over $8,000. We ended up using another contractor to do the fascia/soffit for about $1,600 and he couldn't believe how much we then ended up paying for just a roof. Then came the inside work which they started before we completed the issue with the fascia/soffit. The bulk construction seemed to go just fine. However, their finish work is a disaster. Our shower head was below the top of my head and I am only 5'9". In addition, the bull nose tile at the point where the pipe came out of the wall was V cut to accommodate the pipe and looked awful. The tile floor has a severe slope that is not needed for such a small shower and the sliding glass door is not even put on straight and opens/closes at an angle. We have been trying to work with them to get these issues fixed but it has not been nearly 5 months and we are still not finished. They came back out to raise the shower head and raised the tile on the wall. However when they did this, they used a different color grout and now I have 2 different grout colors in my "brand new shower". And the shower door is still angled. They also installed a column as a support for a wall that was removed. The finish work on this was awful as well. Drywall was crooked and angled in at the top because they didn't put the corner piece all the way to the ceiling. They came back out to fix this and it looks just as bad but not with 1x6 going floor to ceiling with butt joints instead of miter joints. The work was under par and their servicing since their "completion" is absolutely atrocious. We have tried for months to get this rectified yet we are still here waiting. They "fit" us in between other jobs if they come out at all. As a business I would expect to fully finish a job before putting newer jobs as a higher priority. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. UPDATE: We met with the contractor 2 months ago and laid out our issues with the interior completion including the different grouts used in the shower. They said they would fix and would be in touch to schedule. Well, we are 2 months later and the work has still not been completed. It has been over a month since we last even heard from them. It is becoming a bad joke at this point.

They hire outside contractors and never personally check out the work before paying your money to these outside contractors for poor quality service. We signed up for a kitchen remodel that was supposed to be finished in 3 months, instead it took them 8 months to finish using subpar contractors whose work had to be redone several times over. After finally finishing my project in June, several cabinets are now warped and the project manager claims that they are not under warranty anymore and insists that I send them the measurements instead of them coming over to follow up on their work. I feel they are unwilling to stand behind their work, while they claim they will. The value of their work is not worth the headache of extended time to completion, showing up late to work, and having to redo work by outside contractors numerous times. Not to mention the numerous lies we were told to put us on hold so they could finish other projects. Overall a bad experience.

I spoke with the owner, Bobby Nevett and he requested for me to send him an email with photos. I emailed him the photos and never heard anything back. I called him a week later to follow up and inquire about him repairing the pipe booting as his warranty states and he hung up the phone. We asked this company to paint a couple of rooms, tile a bathroom, and fix some water spots. He was able to have his crew come out and start work within a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. The crew used the cheapest possible plastic tarps over our carpet. They didn't stay down, and as a result, there is paint on carpets throughout the room. They didn't put tarps down at all in the other rooms, and left paint on the hardwood floor in our foyer. There are several places (like around electrical sockets) where they completely failed to paint. The crew also tried to simply paint over the water spots rather than actually repair them as had been agreed. I pointed out these issues to Mr Joseph on our walkthrough. He assured me that he would be back the following week to fix them himself. From that point forward, the excuses began to flow in and he has never shown up to remedy any of the issues (despite providing new dates along the way). After our initial meeting, I had high hopes for Home Pro Remodeling. After this experience, I would recommend finding someone else to do any work in your home or business.
