I will definitely be using them again for my many other projects due to their quality services, professionalism and exceeding the services rendered. Victor exudes excellent customer service which is important especially when working with a contractor for a long period of time. He communicates well and will let you know if there is a material delay or anything else that can happen when performing home improvement projects. He's honest and there are no hidden costs. He replaced my picture window which had a leak but once he Victorized it I never had any problems no matter how hard it rains. He also repaired and replaced window screens and blinds. Please get an estimate in writing if you hire Victor from New Concepts Construction. I made a very expensive mistake hiring Victor, the owner of the company. He verbally quoted me $1,500 for an IKEA laminate counter kitchen installation. The cost of the IKEA laminate counter (3 pieces) was only $300. I felt the $1,500 was a bit high but I was having trouble finding someone to install laminate and Victor seemed knowledgeable regarding my project. The project should have taken a day, but Victor was extremely slow. He also let me know he now charges hourly. After day one, he was still setting up his equipment and adjusting my an ikea kitchen drawers which he claimed were off. Not much more done on day 2, day 3, finally started cutting counter tops. I asked him repeatedly where were were on price which he said he would let me know but did not. The evening before he did the actual install on my counter he sent me a text stating he was at $4,500. I was could not even believe this. I did not respond until the next day when he arrived. I had a conversation with him regarding the price he was now charging, he said he had to adjust some cabinets, I did not even pay that much to have my whole IKEA kitchen installed! I knew he was going to leave me is a mess, no counter, sink, etc. I told him to finish and when he was done, I tried to talk with him again about the original $1,500 estimate to now $4,500. He got very heated, so I gave him a check for the full amount which I so regret now but I was uncomfortable with his reaction and wanted him to leave my home. Please beware and don't make the same mistakes I did by hiring Victor who took total advantage of me and he knows it. read more

When I was finally ready to redo my circa 1996 kitchen in my small condo, I had a design in mind and I knew I wanted an IKEA kitchen. I contacted a couple of remodeling companies and they either did not want to use IKEA cabinets or they did not see my vision. One day I was online reading a blogger's IKEA kitchen design and the she mentioned that she used Victor Marti to do the install. I gave him a call and he spoke of what he did as not a job but a passion that he has always had. He came out and he got where I wanted to go with my kitchen and we talked about how to make that happen. I went with my instinct and chose Victor for the job and that was the right decision. I did spend the $199 to have IKEA come out and design my cabinet layout. Victor reviewed the design and he saw a couple of things that were a little off and some areas he could tweak the design for a more high-end custom finish. This is the passion that continued throughout the whole project. The communication was great and he worked with me when I incorporated a couple of changes, such as a custom slide out vent I found. He had not worked with this particular vent before, but no problem! He even customized the cover to keep the sleek line of my cabinets. Victor did most of the renovation. He did the demolition to raise a couple of soffits, lower a bar height opening to counter level to open up the space, and removed a closet and used that space for the refrigerator. He installed the IKEA cabinets and the backsplash. He did all of the renovation except for the countertops. I do have to compliment him on his integrity, even when it is not his work. When he was ready to start the backsplash, he noticed that the countertop people polished the wrong edge on a section of the counter and installed it backwards. This is something that I did not notice this when they installed it. When he pointed it out, I could see how the front of the countertop had a curve that was scribed to be installed against the wall, and where there was gap by the wall that they filled in with caulking. He could have just installed the backsplash to keep on schedule, but instead, he helped me resolve this with the countertop company, even though it delayed him for several days. He really saved the look of my kitchen! As for his work... He showed up every single day right on time (earlier if the building would have allowed)! He worked every minute until he was done for the day. His work environment was always very neat and clean and he never left a mess (even vacuuming every day). He was careful with all of the materials from demolition through to the end. The end result is that he took the idea that I had in my head and materialized it into the exact kitchen that I had pictured. We made the very, very most we could make of a small galley kitchen, even doubling my counter and storage space! I can honestly say that there is not one thing that I would change or would have done differently. How often can you say that? I will definitely use him for some other projects in my condo and I would recommend him to anyone who wants quality work done with a passion! read more

We had a great experience working with Victor. He installed our kitchen and bathroom cabinets (Ikea) handily addressing various electrical, plumbing, gas line and flooring issues that arose. It was just so excellent to have one person to deal with from start to finish and who had such comprehensive and expansive knowledge (and tools! he's like a hardware store). It came out beautifully and we are fully satisfied. Fair price, expedient, attentive to detail, easy to communicate with, resourceful, kept our home clean -- doesn't get much better. He also did a lovely job with the tile backsplash in our kitchen. He also generously helped informally supervise the install of our appliances and the countertops. The other contractors respected his opinion and listened to him maybe more than they would have were it just us. We would hire him again in a heartbeat and strongly recommending Victor -- especially if you are going with Ikea cabinets. read more

Victor can do it all, he's a "jack of all trades". He's dependable, shows up early ready to work. I really appreciated the communication that he had with me, you're informed throughout the process. Victor replaced the glass that was broken in my window, repaired my stairway lending to my front door, made some cosmetic repairs to the interior of my home, and he installed security doors and burglary bars to my home. Vic is an extremely hard working and reliable worker who puts 100% into every job and ensures each job is done properly. Vic first helped me when I asked him to install my IKEA kitchen cabinets here in Johns Creek. Not only did he install the cabinets, he provided suggestions on what I needed to make sure I needed to include (such as which panels to make sure I purchase) and did custom cabinetry that included building a built-in refrigerator (which I had never even thought of, that was all Vic) and a custom cabinet for our baking sheets. He also installed all of the appliances, including a vent hood and the ventilation to go outside of the house. He did the backsplash, installed a microwave in our pantry (again, something I never even though of), advised us on under-cabinet lighting, and installed the outlets underneath the wall cabinets (to make the backsplash look better). His ideas were wonderful. He was also very helpful with other contractors. I recall we had flooring installed at the same time and he was able to communicate with the flooring guys in Spanish to make sure they installed the flooring properly relative to where the flooring should meet the cabinets and baseboards he was installing (they wanted to do it differently, which was incorrect, and he convinced them to install properly). Lastly, in regards to the kitchen install, he took a crazy plumbing system underneath the kitchen sink and installed a much more cleaner and efficient looking set of plumbing. Since the IKEA kitchen in Spring 2014, I have hired Vic for other repairs to my house that includes drywall repair, painting, chimney repair, reinstalling floors after a water leak, replacing the gate to our fence, and most recently replacing the trim work around the windows and garage on the outside of our house. The main reason I would suggest Vic is that he does all the work himself and takes incredible pride in doing it the right way. Of all the jobs I have had him work on, only once did he have an assistant. This cuts the cost and I feel his pricing is very reasonable. He arrives each morning at 7am and doesn't leave until the job is done, not even to go to lunch. In addition, he ensures and recommends the job be done properly. I asked him most recently to just repaint some window trim on the outside, but he recognized the wood was rotten and asked if I wanted to replace the trim with wood or slightly for slightly more with PVC, which would last much longer and not have to worry as much about maintenance. When he was working on the install he noticed the previous installation was horribly done and he made sure it was proper. All of the work he has done has looked beautiful and I have zero complaints. If you want an honest guy that is going to put 100% into each job, not over charge you, and make sure the work is done properly, Vic at New Concepts Construction is definitely the right guy. The only complaint is that because he works by himself is that it can take a while to book him. So if you are in an emergency, call him but don't be surprised if he has other jobs, but he does try to squeeze jobs in when he can. Be prepared to have to wait a couple of weeks, but it is well worth it! read more

New Concepts remodeled our kitchen August 2013. After over one year of using our kitchen, with a large family, we could not be happier. Much of the product came from Ikea. New Concepts knows Ikea product. The finish trim, subway tile backsplash, and overall completion of the process were seamless.
