Painting... OK, Drywall... NOT…read more Angela and Sal of AG Renovations seemed like two nice people but with misaligned business priorities. They contracted to install drywall to finish grade and paint. I stressed the need for high attention to detail and they said they had it covered. Great right? I guess my first clue was when I had to remind them to get (and use) corner bead, but I trusted them. After all the had it covered! Later I came home after they finished in a rush (and failed to clean up) and the paint job looked good. Later, on closer inspection, the underlying drywall work revealed itself: -No inside corner tape used -Missed three outside corner beads -Jagged and lumpy work around outside of outlets, like it was smashed into place - Butt seams too thin, or uneven or some even cracked....24 hrs later Came back upon request but made only a half-hearted attempt to rework the problem areas. I've got photos of how they left it if you want them. I ended up re-doing about half of those items. Overall a disappointing experience given their promises. Next time I'll know to get a common understanding of finish quality (like ASTM Level ). It's obvious their understanding of a job well done is less than most peoples' . They left it at about ASTM 0 or 1 and never returned my calls. Steer clear of their drywall work :(

After receiving various quotes from other flooring companies, we went with Chris because of his fair pricing, personable and welcoming nature, positive client reviews, and quick turnaround. He listened to exactly what we wanted and executed from there on out. When we saw the first round of sample stains, they weren't what we envisioned for the house. Instead of getting upset or talking us into something we clearly didn't want or love, he told us to come back the next day and he'd have some new ones for us to check out. Sure enough we found exactly what we wanted in that next round. Chris walked us through the entire process step by step, with patience as we asked and text him a million times. I'd go with Chris a million times over for any flooring project we have in the future and you'd be lucky to have him too.

He verbally quoted me $1,500 for an IKEA laminate counter kitchen installation. The cost of the IKEA laminate counter (3 pieces) was only $300. I felt the $1,500 was a bit high but I was having trouble finding someone to install laminate and Victor seemed knowledgeable regarding my project. The project should have taken a day, but Victor was extremely slow. He also let me know he now charges hourly. After day one, he was still setting up his equipment and adjusting my an ikea kitchen drawers which he claimed were off. Not much more done on day 2, day 3, finally started cutting counter tops. I asked him repeatedly where were were on price which he said he would let me know but did not. The evening before he did the actual install on my counter he sent me a text stating he was at $4,500. I was could not even believe this. I did not respond until the next day when he arrived. I had a conversation with him regarding the price he was now charging, he said he had to adjust some cabinets, I did not even pay that much to have my whole IKEA kitchen installed! I knew he was going to leave me is a mess, no counter, sink, etc. I told him to finish and when he was done, I tried to talk with him again about the original $1,500 estimate to now $4,500. He got very heated, so I gave him a check for the full amount which I so regret now but I was uncomfortable with his reaction and wanted him to leave my home. Please beware and don't make the same mistakes I did by hiring Victor who took total advantage of me and he knows it.
