Veggie enchilada with red sauce
Harsh C.

Great Mexican food spot in downtown bartlett. We have come here for years and enjoy the food and service! I usually order the veggie enchiladas with green and red sauce and it is very good. The only reason I docked a star this time was the the food was a little bland at first. We had to add a lot of sauce to the salsa and guac to enhance the flavor, but other than that great experience. We also tried the flan this time, which I definitely recommend! Overall, great place in bartlett downtown!

Exterior of the restaurant.

This restaurant is across from the Bartlett metta train station. At night, the exterior of the restaurant is decorated with lights and looks very festive and inviting. The interior ambiance is relaxing, modern and a little whimsical, which is different than other Mexica restaurant I have been to. The staffs are very friendly, and they try to address every guests as quickly as possible. They have gluten-friendly options (can't guarantee cross contamination in the kitchen). There is also a good selection of drinks. Let's talk about the food. It is delicious - flavorful, visually appealing, and light! What I mean by light is that it is not greasy. After the meal, we feel well fed but not weighted down. Check out this little gem!

The BEST margaritas!
Debbie G.

Still delicious food! Still amazingly addictive margaritas! The salsa has a nice little kick. My steak tacos were packed with ingredients and flavor. My hubbys mole chicken was so good.Everything was fresh and as always great friendly service.

enchiladas gotta add some sour cream on the móle and the side of pickled carrots and cauliflower to add a little kick.

this is a great spot for enchiladas, the móle sauce is excellent and prices are fair. really great family owned and operated spot in the heart of downtown bartlett.

The poblano cream sauce on the chicken was SO GOOD and just the right spice/heat level. The chorizo and Oaxaca cheese with spinach inside was also a great combo with the very juicy chicken breast. Can't wait to order again!

My kids didn't really like the mac and cheese (stating it was tooooo cheesy), but it looked decent and used cavatappi noodles. My $12 carnitas burrito was a great deal and enough for 2 meals. Our $100 bill covered: - a frozen mango margarita (towers, which are equivalent of 5 margaritas, are available too) - cosmo martini - saganaki appetizer lit up table side - elotes tamales - carnitas burrito - 2 kids' meals - complimentary chips and salsa - tax and 20% tip Service was extremely attentive and pleasant! Recommending this to all, and can't wait to go back when in the area! Adios!

Chips, salsa, pico de gallo, and escabeche (pickled vegetable) hit your table and is a snack in itself. Salsa amazing. Green & mild. Red & hot rich and flavorful with that toasted char from the tomatoes that really comes through. I do love my burritos, but there's so much to choose from here. Tacos lengua, chorizo, pastor, and more. Great big plump tortas. Mix em up for an assortment of flavors. Recommend getting the caldo de res (beef soup.) An extremely rich and beefy soup with plenty of vegetables and big chunks of beef. Great staff. Waitress couldn't be more accommodating. She can tell you how everything is prepared which speaks of the handmade quality of the ingredients and the dish. Get the horchata or jamaica or mango Jaritos for a good pairing with your meal. Although, they do have plenty of alcoholic beverages, including margaritas, piña colada's and beer to choose from, such as Modelo. Highly Recomend.

I ordered cheese enchiladas with both mole and hot salsa and horchata. The horchata was pleasant with a good amount of cinnamon. The enchiladas came out quickly and with sides. Overall the dish was tasty and the mole was well balanced but on the sweeter side for me. It was helpful that I had ordered them with the hot salsa which improved the overall taste for me. Service was quick esp for a late night full meal. Cheo's is in a strip mall and very easy to miss but with a much better option than a fast food stop.

The restaurant is beautifully decorated for Valentine's Day... balloons and table arrangements. There is Spanish music playing softly in the background. There is a large tv near the bar area when you first walk in. The waitress let us pick our table and gave us menus to look at along with complementary chips and salsa. The chips are sprinkled with a red powder and the salsa is a green chunky blend... so yummy! She put three different bottled sauces on our table too (see photos) the menu has lots of great options! Something for everyone... kids section too. I ordered the Pozole soup! Oh boy the soup very filling and flavorful. The temperature is just right. The meat is very tender and the beans are nice and chewy (Not hard or soft). This is the best Pozole I have ever had. I will definitely order it again. It came with a stack of crispy corn tostadas, onions, lettuce, and slices of limes! So so yummy! My husband ordered the Fajita Texana (a burrito with steak, chicken, and shrimp) he said the Fajita Texana was very good with all the vegetables and meats mixed together. It marinated well and made the flavor really stand out. We highly recommend dining here and will definitely come back again!

I said no problem and asked how much it was. They were changing $6.99. I declined because I felt that was overpriced. We got our food. There was barely any steak on the torta. And they were charging $12.75 for it. I normally don't complain as I used to be in the food service industry and know how it is but decided to bring it up to them due to the price. I asked if they could put more steak on the torta. The cook came to the front and was extremely rude and said "if you don't like the food then just give it back and we will give you a refund.". I told him that I wanted to get what I paid for and to not my money back. And he said something about it being portion controlled and he just works there but continue to be rude and said he could just give me my money back. After some arguing back and forth we decided to give him the food back. My wife ate half of her food I took two sips of my horchata and he only refunded me everything but the $8 for the sope. This was extremely unprofessional. Again I don't complain much especially with reviews, however this was very disrespectful. I asked to speak to the owner and when he would be in but they said they don't know and we're extremely dismissive. Another thing to note is that we ordered off of the large menu in the restaurant then come to realize that most items listed on the receipt where at least $0.75 more that we paid for. We ended up paying over $3.50 more than what was advertised on there menu that people order from every day. Buyer beware please make sure you check your receipt when you order from there. I did bring this up to the cashier and he said "oh yeah those prices are old". I understand that but they should be updated it would take no more than 20 minutes to update the menu.
