My daughters and I were in need of simple flip flops to wear around the house. Yes, we wear some form of footwear in the house LOL. Anyway, we visited Walmart, Dollar Tree, Target... no cigar or at least they did not have what we were looking for. I started researching online first with Amazon. Then I saw JCPenney had a sale on their flip flops plus additional % discount off. I was all eyes LOL. $2.09 plus tax wasn't bad at all. I bought six pairs... 2 black, 2 blue, and 2 gray. I drove to this JCPenney at Victoria Gardens for curbside pick-up. Well, I was on the wrong side of the store. I ended up walking in, up the escalator, and towards the shoes section. The lady behind the counter who assisted me was very nice and pleasant. Thank you miss! I even tried on the flip flops just to see if I liked them enough to buy more. Sure enough, they were very comfortable. I bought 9 more pairs online LOL. They were closing and I wouldn't get the discount if I bought them here at the time. I'll be coming back here to do another pick-up run soon. Sometimes you never know what kind of deals you'll find at JCPenney. Btw, they were established in 1902. I did not know this until now. I love JC Penny's the store is very clean very organized. I was able to find everything I needed. The selection is great. Service is awesome there I will have to say when I went into the ladies restroom. I was shocked to see the condition of the toilet seat I know it sounds a lot of petty, but toilet seats aren't expensive and if I had my grandchildren there, I would've never let them use the restroom and gone somewhere else. I think JCPenney's can upgrade the women's restroom to make it more pleasant. Overall, the store is awesome. Just little minor details. read more

I made an appointment for the photos and when we got there, they said even with an appointment, it would be a 1hr+ wait. They had overbooked because they were "trying to squeeze everybody in". Even though I had an appointment, when I asked what's the point of even making an appointment if they weren't going to honor it, the receptionist said "you can come back another day"...the photographer was actually super nice but the shoot did not last longer than 8 minutes at the most because they were rushing everyone. read more

Wow, I was appalled at how unkept this store was in the children's section. I arrived at 11am upon store opening, and everything in the children's section was strewn about. It was so hard to find anything in that mess, that I ended up waking out. There also wasn't much to chose from in the toddler girls section. Do the employees not care to take the time to organize the clothes?!?! JCPenny has severely gone down hill. I doubt I'd bother coming here again for kids clothing. read more

The service was hard to find. Not many employees. We waited to pay for our items but when we got to the register the lady said we had to go to another register. She said only jewelry at her register. However, the customer before us had other items. We finally found someone to ring us up. It's very hot in the store and no where to sit if you can't stand for long a time. They do have lots of items in clothing to choose from. Not so much in appliances. The value is pretty good on many items. read more

I went into the bathroom on the second floor and it was the most disgusting thing that i have seen in 5 years! The manager should be ashamed and does not value the customers who shop there. If I could give zero stars I would. DO NOT ORDER ANY FURNITURE ITEMS from JC Penney. The quality is poor. The return service is HORRIBLE. I was provided with a return slip stating I can return to any JCPenney near me. I packed the furniture and loaded it and carried it myself to JCPenny to be told I cannot. I then had to carry it back home up my flight of stairs. Today, I call to request a UPS label to return and I am told there is a $175 fee. A repacking fee for a dining set that looks cheap and is not worth $175 let alone the $485 I paid for it. Do not be fooled. I see why there is no furniture store where I can see the furniture in person. I was then advised to take the boxes to UPS. I clearly stated that it is highly unusually to return an item through UPS without a label. The supervisor then told me UPS can print a label. We then carried these boxes weighing 43lbs, 15lbs and 15lbs back down my stairs, load my car and then get them out of my car and carry them into UPS to be told exactly what I was afraid of. A label is needed and UPS cannot print one. I stood in UPS WHILE on the phone with JCPenny Customer Service over 1.5 hours. Explaining the entire scenario again. This is not how I wanted to spend two of my mornings. This has been the worst customer service experience after ordering online in my life. I was even to the point of being willing to PAY for these boxes to ship, but still JC Penney could not provide me with an address or shipping information. When finally a label was provided to me via email. I am waiting now to see when they fail to provide me a full refund and charge me after wasting my energy, time and causing me to have to carry boxes back and forth because they provided me with incorrect information multiple times. read more

Went to take 8 month old photos today. The manager Angie was good at making the baby smile, but not so nice to the parents watching. The check out portion was a nightmare. The manager was not patient at all and after a long condescending discussion ended up being wrong about pricing, but did not apologize. She ruined what should have been a cute special moment. One star for making the baby smile. This location is convenient and there is a nice large waiting area, but unfortunately, I won't be back. read more

Got our newborn portraits done at this location and they came out neat. Two things that I did not like as a new parent: 1. Do not rub your fingers on my newborns forehead to shush him. I don't know if you've washed your hands or even sanitized them. If you're an employee reading this, please don't soothe children like that again. Pat them on their outer thigh or even there arm, but do not touch their bare skin. 2. I'm purchasing photos, a bundle to be exact. I was able to locate the merchandise that I was looking for and with the assistance of Representative Ayla was able to locate merchandise and resolve an issue in regards to this merchandise(Men's Levi Jeans). The customer service she provided was excellent and went above and beyond. It is her detail and priority to customer service that will cause me to return to this JCPenny in the future. Once again leaving disappointed after a visit to this JC Penny location. While the store is nice on the outside and located perfectly in the Victoria Garden mall, the inside is more reminiscent of a Walmart. Hordes of people, long lines at cashiers, clueless employees and unsorted merchandise are making shopping here a frustrating and unpleasant experience. There seems to be no focus on getting organized and running an efficient store. Maybe it's the management who is not setting the right expectations or is getting the right people. It's night and day compared to the Macy's next door. I do give them 2 stars for location at the mall and bathrooms. read more

Purchased a diamond anniversary band for my wife ' I knew, the ring i purchased would have to be sized as it was only in standard 7.5 size. But want to give the actual ring to my wife on our anniversary which was 7/9/2019 * She loved the ring , so returned to the store for sizing from a 7.5 to a 8.5 the ring was set out for the adjustment ,I followed up and picked up the ring for it to be only 8.15 not 8.5 , the clerck said he would rush and have it corrected * today ,I recieve a call from the clerk stating the ring is already 8.5 and do I want to go up to size 9.' The ring is measured by the clerk was 8.15 not 8.5 if it was there would be no reason for the resize . Today 8/19/2019 ..my anniversary has pasted and I havent seen the ring since .customer service unable to help . Jewerly supervisor not returning calls . Sad to say but I think that JCPenney might be circling the drain. Over the last 4 months ever time I have gone in they have less and less of a selection. About a year ago they started some new type of crazy sale program about green tag low pricing and special once a month Friday specials. Yikes. I think they understand big mistake and dropped it. I use to always be able to find my size or what I wanted. Not so much lately. They also go rid of a number of check out areas and make you wait in long lines. Mens suits and shirts is so empty it's not worth checking. Also stop carrying the Mens Large and Tall catalog. I think they are trying to rebrand into some hip new store using JCP and logo. The portrait department needs to fire the teenagers working there. service here was terrible. A young lady probably 18 with short bangs and blonde and brown hair yelled at me that she was still on her thirty as soon as I approached the desk. I was so shocked by the immediate reaction I walked away. Later that same young girl was giving me nothing but attitude when go over the photos I was paying for as a gift to my a family member she wouldn't acknowledge the things I said. Gave me attitude over coupons and I ended up paying so much 170 plus for no physical photos because she argued I wouldn't get these prints until march. There was no value here at all. Definitely have better luck buying a camera and take my own photos and developing them at Costco. The photographer touched my nieces face with her dirty hands without asking. She's 2 months old. She also couldn't bother to get up and move props around so she would ask my sister in low who was the subject of the photo to scoot stuff around. This is outrageous. read more

This is for portrait studio at the jcpenny in the Victoria gardens in Rancho Cucamonga. I have been going there for five years and have been satisfied all this time until today. The photographer did not know what do at all. I had to pose my own children and I had to show her how to crop my own photos. She spelled "sisters" wrong on my picture. I wanted to see if she she would catch on to the spelling but she did not. I usually spend an average of 100 dollars per quarter. I'm appalled at the level of disrespect shown when my mother came to select prescription glasses today. She's been in this country for over 35 years, she's a registered nurse, highly educated, speaks perfect proper English, and has never been treated so poorly like she was today! The organization should be ashamed of the female sales associate who works there. 1. No greeting for my mother, but the lady greeted the Caucasian woman who came in after her 2. My mother asked for assistance to get a new prescription, the staff member acted as if she did not know what my mother was saying twice 3. As she directed my mom to the glasses, she put away all of the designer glasses, as if my mother did not notice. Then she brought them back out when the Caucasian lady arrived. My mother went ahead and had her show her everything go pair of designer glasses that she had available to her. 4. Then she proceeded to tell my mother, when she selected two frames that she would like to purchase, that they "only take cash" that the machine was not working --RIDICULOUS, as if any other form of payment is unacceptable. My mother was not born yesterday. She informed the sales associate that she has cash, but would prefer to use her visa. Then all of a sudden the machine "started working" If you've ever seen modern day racial discrimination and profiling, this is it at its finest, and thanks but no thanks to the manager, a "15% off discount" doesn't remedy the level disrespect she endured. You might want to take that 15% off of that sales associate's paycheck, or do yourself, and the integrity of the organization a favor and fire her entirely. read more
