I realize we had a camera store in Rockland and they had a chat option and I was able to talk to somebody who notified me they had the Canon camera I wanted in stock. I came in today (Monday) and was greeted right away. The store itself is large and I didn't know what to expect walking in, but when I got to the counter again, I was greeted very quickly. The employee was able to grab the camera I wanted to look at and after inspection, I went ahead and went to purchase. The employee was full of knowledge and helped me super quick. The transaction itself was seamless and I'm sure I helped by knowing what I was looking for. Overall great experience, and I was really happy. I didn't have to pay above retail because this particular camera has been sold out everywhere. Highly recommend coming here for any camera needs and even questions. Definitely will be coming back if I need anything in the future.

The Oakridge Mall location replaced the Picture People who had been there for years. We gave them a…read morego, and were very pleased. There was no sitting fee, and the photographer got some great shots. They have less props than other places, but we brought our own toys, which is probably better anyway. I'm marking it down because it closed so abruptly on 6-22-2012 that we had to scramble to pick up our pictures early the very day they were delivered, or else go to Sears to get them. It was sad that the crew that had just been working so hard to take family portraits only weeks earlier were going to be unemployed almost as soon as we left -- in a location that had been there for less than a year.

Most of them have a passion for photography and one of them, specifically me, has a photography business that is striving and has learned quite a bit from working at this place. But, the business itself is garbage. For one, the prices are unreasonable. Everything is so overpriced here. The studio itself needs new backdrops due to wear and tear but the corporation that runs this studio has no urge to invest anymore money into their studios so that more profit can be made. The fact that this location used to be a Picture People is confusing. The current studio does not offer one hour lustre finish printing where the Picture People did so lots of customers come in and are disappointed to hear that the photos will not be ready on the same day. On top of all of these downfalls, the lab where the photos are physically printed does some of the sloppiest work I've seen in the industry. The ink has had issues repeatedly, the cropping is always altered and the whole idea of having to wait for photos to come within 10-15 business days is ridiculous.

All I wanted was the water damage fixed- no photoshopping my dad's face- he doesn't need a nose job- nothing complicated. Nobody seemed to be 'getting it.' Then I came to Image Pros. I was quoted $35 on the phone and told it'd take 3-5 days for them to complete. Guess how pleasantly surprised I was when they called me the very next day saying my photo was ready and it was several dollars cheaper than originally quoted?? Guess how even more thrilled I was when the photo I was given was beautifully restored and not overly edited to hell. The ladies I encountered at Image Pros were each friendly & professional and it really meant a lot to me that they did such a wonderful job with such a sentimental photo. I was referred to this business to get some basic video copying done. I had an old VCR tape and 2…read moreDVDs that I wanted to get copied. I went into the store last week and there were 2 women behind the counter and on man who appeared to be their customer that they were talking to. I assumed this was a large client they were helping as they both were focused on him, so I didn't mind waiting for a couple of minutes. But I stood there with no one acknowledging me for several minutes, while they shot the breeze with this client. Finally, one asked if they could help me. I explained that I wanted 2 copies of the VCR tape on DVD and one copy each of the DVDs. She writes down (after much fumbling) a 2 and then 24.95 and says that is $24.95, then she writes down 1 each DVD for $5, but says nothing. So I assume about $35 total. She asks me to write my name and phone number on a piece of paper and then looks at me and says "OK". I guess this meant she was done with me and wanted me to leave. She didn't offer what the total would be and I had to ask when they might be done. I asked if I needed a receipt or something when I came back to pick them up and she said simply, "No." Very odd. Big pet peeve of mine when people assume that since they do what they do all day, the rest of us are supposed to know how their business works. I get a phone call that they are ready about a week later, Wednesday, and went in to pick them up today, Friday. I walked into the store and one of the women who was working before came out from the back, but said nothing to me. I said I was there to pick up my tape and DVDs and she just looked at me, like she wanted me to say something else. She seemed frustrated that I didn't give her what she seemed to want, but how would I know what she wanted. Finally, she says, curtly, "What's your name?" Oh I get it. Again, I'm supposed to know as a first time customer how your business works, instead of just asking me in the first place. She gets my order, takes some time to ring it up, and then says $75.49. I was dumbfounded. I can see the original writing and try to show her that it says $24.95 and 1 each for $5. She proceeds to argue with me that it is $24.95 each for the VCR copies and I see that they had made 2 copies each of the other DVDs (this was probably somehow my fault as well). I showed her the original writing and she just kept arguing and saying ridiculous things like I was trying to rip them off and very sarcastically "How much do you want to pay then?" I got really upset at that point and finally got her to check me out at the price I thought I would be paying. As I was walking out the door, she said to me "Don't come back!" Great way to treat a customer. Please stay away from this very unprofessional business. If they want to have a hobby and pretend they are in business, fine, but don't waste any actual money with this joke of an operation.

They are open during Christmas for photos with Santa, you can have your children or the whole family take their picture with Santa and it's a lot more pleasant than the long line and super rushed mall photo. There's much more to it, as well. For instance, they have window displays and a darling set up with Santa's workshop that you can peek inside of, with places for little kids to enjoy while you wait a very short time to get your photos. Also, a nice touch is they email you your photos, very friendly people. This is a family-run operation, very sweet family and there are several really fun details that our 8 year old took notice of, they have a huge book of names, and Santa checks you off and adds notes, very realistic, I loved it. I found out that I am apparently on the "naughty" list :-) which my son got a huge kick out of! I highly recommend taking your family to see Santa there. The shop is next door to Jo Ann and Fresh Choice. If you can't make it for Christmas, I am excited to do the cool Halloween photos they do, complete with spectres and ghostly pets!

Snap did their own color correction, or the machine did it automatically. Regardless, the print should match the original, saturation, contrast and all. The Customer Service was lousy, I was told I really don't understand printing. Um, again I've been doing this for 25 years, even printed for galleries. What I do know, your prints should match your original, bar none, and if that's what your paying for too! Then she referred me to Kinkos. I was warned about Snap, someone said it'd be better for me to get my prints at Walmart than Snap, good advice!
