I normally book online by choosing an available day that works for us. On the day of our appointment we check in at the front desk and they will take you to their sets next to the front desk. You pick your backdrop and they start taking pictures. My favorite is their holiday headquarters specifically their Christmas sets. They now do instant viewings so you do have to wait after your session and you basically go through the unedited pictures on an iPad. We weren't asking to be taken early at all. When we returned closer to our appointment, we waited almost an hour. Sara came over with more sass, and when we were finally brought into the studio around 6:30 pm, she made comments blaming us for the long wait because we sat in the back waiting area, even though she had walked by us multiple times. When we calmly told her she needed to relax with the attitude, she escalated it and said she could kick us out of "her" studio. Completely unprofessional for a manager. The only positive part was Kalia, who was kind and handled everything well. This location needs serious attention from corporate. Sara's behavior is toxic and ruins the customer experience.

We first contacted Kevin Coughran over the phone and we were able to negotiate a price for both photography and video. My husband and I met with Kevin a few weeks later at a Starbucks to go over the plan for the wedding ceremony and reception. Kevin gave us great ideas for the wedding and showed us his photo gallery on his computer, which helped my husband and I see the quality of his work. Kevin provided us with two photographers (one being himself and the other, his sister) and a videographer. They arrived early and immediately got to work. They went back and forth between my husband and I as we were getting ready for the ceremony. Aside from my sister-in-law, Kevin's sister also helped me get ready! During the ceremony, they put a mic on my husband to help capture our wedding vows for the video. They also took photographs from multiple angles in the church during the ceremony. After the ceremony, they took family pictures and pictures of my husband and I alone. We then took pictures at our reception site before we went into the reception hall. They captured all the important moments of our special day. The morning after the wedding, they posted some photos in their Facebook page. About a month and a half later, they mailed us a thumb drive, which included our photos, a highlight video and a documentary video. We had to contact Kevin because my husband and I noticed that the documentary video had parts of our wedding out of order and it was missing a few key moments of our reception. Kevin re-edited the video (at no cost) and fixed these issues. We contacted him again because some of our photos looked dark, but he also fixed these issues. A few things I was looking for: - Creative + cinematic footage shot from different angles. - Usage of visual footage, music, and audio from vows/speeches to tell a story (which includes rising action and a climax). - Audience retention: keeping my viewers excited the entire length of the film (if the film was going to be 10 minutes long, I wanted my viewers to feel like it was much shorter since they were engaged the entire time, rather than doze off in boredom). - Overall I wanted someone to create a cinematic film rather than just a video. Vitaily from Aperina checked ALL of those boxes. After months of researching videographers, I only needed to watch 1 of his samples to know immediately that he was going to be perfect for us. We got a sneak peek of his work when he made us a short engagement / save-the-date film to send to our invitees. Our family/friends were blown away by this, and some even said "your engagement film was better than some people's wedding films" or "If this is just the engagement one, I can't wait to see what he does for your wedding!"
