Jcpennys is our go to when shopping for clothes. The Burleson location has a pretty good selection of clothes and my husband appreciates that they have a big and tall area since he is 6'4. We also appreciate that they offer a rewards program and they often have coupons and sales. This location is a stand alone so normally it's not too crowded. I know some stores are going out of business but I hope this location sticks around because it meets all of our needs from shoes to dresses to towels. read more

I was shocked this store was still open. Since I hadn't been here in years I went in to shop for a loved one. These customer service reps or sales associates whatever their title may be were some of the rudest unhelpful group of people. They were literally avoiding me rather than to assist customers. The exception does not apply to the ladies in the juniors department who directed me to the women section. As bad as the customer service was this store should have closed years ago. No need to avoid me it will not be a next time that I try to shop there. read more

I was telling him today that his supervisor had harassed me about a return and he ended up harassing me himself that my survey went to him about his meeting in the heat by the back door outside and that he was torturing his employees and they wanted to be outside. I frequently go and shop for my family. I always seem to find what I need. The customer service is especially great. Beverly at the register is always so welcoming with a smile. I got a watch as a gift from this JCPenney with their Care Plan. The watch was a bit fast on keeping time so I wanted to call and see if that would be covered by it. I called the Fine Jewelry 3 times and no one answered neither did the Operator when I called them. I called the JCPenney on Cooper Street in Arlington and they answered and were able to answer my question. On top of that awful display of customer service the store itself has clear evidence of water leaks and tarps hanging from the ceiling to catch the drips from the stained ceiling tiles and has been that way for months. read more

I haven't been to JCPenney's in a few years yet I needed to pick up something for an event. This location was fairly convenient to where I was traveling. Upon entering, I was greeted almost immediately by two to three cashiers in the front. It was surprising to see several cashiers and zero customers at the time. Mind you, this was about 3:30 PM on a Tuesday. As I walked through several departments in route to the men's department, I realized that I was the only customer (possibly in the store) at the time. After browsing the men's department for a few minutes, I was approached by a female employee that gave me a brief needs assessment on what I required for my event. She assisted me in taking my measurements as well as making suggestions on certain colors and patterns of the clothing. A second female employee came in to assist the first, and gave me plenty of suggestions as well. After trying on a few clothing assortments, I realized that I may need to go to a specialty store. From here, the first female employee recommended a competitor in Fort Worth and noted that they may be more than likely the one that would have the clothing size, color and pattern that I required. Needless to say, I was greatly impressed with the customer service given by these two employees. As I noticed a few other customers arriving in the men's department, the two employees acknowledged them yet continued to provide me with customer service sufficient enough to make me feel like the most important individual in the store. I know everyone says "if i could give it zero stars i would". Well, if i could give -5 stars i would. I went in for a hair dye & i came out with my hair ruined. It feels like barbie doll hair because the stylists bleached it not once but twice in the same session. I understand that the outcome will never look exactly like the picture you show them but in my case she didn't even get close to it. She also ruined a $20 shirt and still I had to pay $100+ the first picture is the one i showed her and the second one is my outcome after SIX HOURS. So I went to Penny's in Burleson to maybe get some shirts. I will now refer to penny's as Bangladesh of north texas. Every shirt I picked up was made there. After I checked out I realized they had over charged me and went back to the store to get it corrected. They don't have a customer service desk so I was told I could get it fixed at the registers. After waiting in line again I was waited on by a very nice lady who didn't know how to fix it. Finally I got another cashier to help her and they were able to get it fixed. Customer service from most of the cashiers was poor. Employees working the floor were great. If it weren't for the sale I couldn't afford the place. read more

I like this JCPenney. It's not crazy busy and more importantly, not in a mall. It has all of the normal things Penney's has but on a scaled-down size. It even has a salon that my wife likes and a portrait studio. The employees have always been great to us. The prices are what you expect for Penney's I suppose. read more

Usually I don't like to be stalked by creepy salespeople, but when I do, I go to JCPenny. I'm a fan of helpful salespeople, but I felt like a gazelle being stalked by a gang of salivating lions. Maybe it had to do with there being more salespeople in the building than customers. The apocalyptic abandoned building feel was actually kind of nice; I like shopping alone and in peace. I just could've done without the predatory sales-zombies. I always thought there was some unwritten rule about only needing to say, "No thanks, just looking," one time, as opposed to two and three times, to the same person. read more

Recently went into the Burleson branch hair salon for a cut for my daughter and my son. OMG they destroyed their hair ! it was a horrible experience ! they hired some stylist without skills! Two employees worked on their hair and could not fix it! look at the picture to figure out! Very disappointed and likely not returning! We came in to buy our son a suit coat. We found an assortment of winter coats and jackets as well. My son needed a coat to go skiing so we found one that was 70% off $120.00. It rang up at 55% off. We were discussing this with the young lady at the register and apparently the manager on duty took exception to our position. The other young girl who was helping with our cashier walked over to the manager to tell her of the issue and ask her if the coats were 70% off. The manager, who seemed to have a German accent, with short red hair, said NO! CUSTOMERS ARE ALWAYS PUTTING THING ON THE WRONG RACKS! she was loud and really rude about it. She went to where we told her the coats were along with a male employee, who by the way was very pleasant and calm. About 90 seconds later, the male employee came back and told our cashier to take 70% off. The manager who had been so rude and loud never came back. Not sure if she dislikes her job or is used to customers backing down, but we didn't back down and I outright told the cashier that the manager was horrible and rude. read more

Steer clear of this location if you can! The management is horrible. The store manager Jacqueline Gutter is rude, unpleasant and demeaning I recently attempted to purchase a diamond watch from the store. The display indicates you can receive a 15% discount by using the store ad coupons. I selected the watch from the ones labeled to receive the discount. In the store ad there were 2 coupons, one indicates you can receive 25% off if using a JC Penney credit card and the second indicates you can receive a 15% discount using any other form of payment. Upon checking out and using the coupon which indicates any other form of payment the cashier indicated i couldnt use the coupon without a JC Penney credit card. I asked for the manager Ms. Gutter who attempted to explain to me the watch was not on sale that is why the coupon was invalid; however I showed her the sign which indicated the discount. She then advised me she had no way to override the system and honor their company's coupon. I asked what was her function at the store if she couldnt address issues where the system is clearly wrong and shd said "nothing" Her deneanor was if I was bithering her for asking her to make this righf and honor their own coupon, so if you see and advertised sale, don't believe it and the manager. won't be able to help you. The salon at this location has a fabulous stylist that does great color. Her name is Summer and she did an amazing job on my hair!

I had my hair done at Jc Penny salon and it came out great. Elizabeth did it. So if you want a good highlight or haircut go there and ask for her.. It is so hard to find someone who can do color good, My highlights came out so great. Next time we will add some more low lights for some more depth that I want. She takes time to figure out what you want and writes it in her files. read more

JCP Salon! I'm not one to write a negative review but on Saturday evening I went to get my haircut at this salon. I told Summer exactly what I wanted. "Swoop, or side" bang length at my cheekbone, a trim, and some layers. With a flat iron. That's it. Without even asking she cut my bangs completely STRAIGHT ACROSS maybe an inch and a half to two inches from my head.. she could tell I was very unhappy. I repeatedly asked her how she planned on making that a side Bang and she said "well I already gave you short bangs" I told her, well that is NOT what I asked for. My hair is so choppy. She barely put layers in it. Long story short, I have never been this unhappy with any hairstylist ever. Most people take the time to figure out exactly what you want, but she didn't. When she was done she said "okay it's going to be $32" ABSOLUTELY NOT as I was in tears almost because my hair was completely trashed.. I asked for her manager and she said she wasn't there. I told her I was not paying for the haircut. She then proceeded to say "well I already cut and flat ironed your hair so.." I DONT CARE WHAT YOU DID IM NOT PAYING FOR SOMETHING I DIDNT ASK FOR. she made me pay $10 for the flat iron after several times explaining why I wasn't going to pay . In my opinion I shouldn't of paid anything that day. I should've gotten a "sorry" or something sincere. And I didn't receive anything from her, like she cared. She seemed like she did not care one bit about how HER CUSTOMER was unhappy, and very upset. I will never come back to this salon, ever. Only because the way she handled the situation afterwards. She's not the one who has to walk around with a haircut like this until it "grows back" thanks for everything JCP salon. Thanks for caring about how I feel. read more
