I really have very little experience shopping at TJ Maxx but I must say I was impressed after my first visit to this location - the luggage department is on the immediate right when entering the store, I was happy to see they had a pretty good selection of luggage featuring a number of name brands with a wide range of pricing to fit every budget. I was looking for a quality wheeled 20" carry-on to replace a bag that was damaged beyond repair during my travel to the area to the point it wasn't going to make my return trip home. I found the checkout process a little strange with one line to access all the registers but it moved quickly and appears to be efficient - the customer service was exceptional and I left the store feeling I got a great product for a great price and that all one can really ask...

I found this store several years ago and one of the things I really like about it is they always have a great sale and they also have plenty of options in the size that I like to wear. So that makes us a great spot for me to shop. They have great clothes that are always high-quality because I buy them on sale. I always get them in a great price and they carry the brands that I like. It's also convenient because it's right across the street from a hotel that I stay at frequently. I was surprised by how enormous the store is and noticed that it had been reorganized inside. There's quite a large selection of luggage it turns out, but I had already bought what I needed at another store. I spent some time looking at clothing and accessories and that was more of what I remembered about Gabe's. The store has a huge selection and very low prices, but the sizes are all mixed together and you have to check every garment for flaws as they are all new but often imperfect. I found a couple good summer tops for less than $5 each and a better brand jacket for $20. If you have some time and enjoy treasure hunting, this is a fun place to look and you can score some real bargains. Service is limited but checkout was friendly.

Big competition to some of the funky frames I found at online retailers They have some big name designers brand too if you are in to those. The pricing is fantastic I got 2 frames w/o my insurance (EyeMed not approved at Costco) The total cost was less than 1 frame at my optometrist office with insurance!!! It's was nice. Then we got a hot dog combo cuz it was noon and we were hungry. Just know there is no one cleaning any tables. They were very dirty. As usual hot dog combo is great. We then went around looking for the few items we wanted to pick up. Navigating through a few hundred people. The layout is pretty standard. Samples guys and gals all around. They do try and keep the clothing area as neat as possible. However in this location there is a guy that folds clothes and he needs to take a shower. Every time I go and walk past him, he smells. It strong and someone should tell him. Everything else is pretty standard as Costco goes. Staff is nice. Products are well displayed. It's just crazy busy. So be aware if you come here. All the clothes run small." Really? All these different brands, including plus sizes, all "run small"? So you're saying the sizes on the clothes aren't correct? It honestly felt like a rude and judgmental comment directed at me rather than helpful information. I wasn't even in the women's clothing section. I felt singled out and uncomfortable. She didn't say anything to my husband and then walked straight to the back of the store behind the double doors. Update about 30 minutes later: As I was walking toward the checkout with my cart (which we'd had since walking in), the same woman came up again and said, "Oh, now I see you have a cart!" She kept looking at me after she said that like she expected a response. What does that even mean? I was so confused I just stared at her and then kept walking. I even heard her trying to talk to my husband behind me, but he didn't realize she was speaking to him. We'll still keep shopping at Big Lots because we love the prices and have gone for years, but this experience upset me and left a bad taste in my mouth. That employee could've just asked if we were finding everything okay or needed help, instead she made unnecessary comments that felt unkind and inappropriate.
