I came here after visiting another local retailer and experiencing an epic failure in regards to customer service, selection and pricing. I really have very little experience shopping at TJ Maxx but I must say I was impressed after my first visit to this location - the luggage department is on the immediate right when entering the store, I was happy to see they had a pretty good selection of luggage featuring a number of name brands with a wide range of pricing to fit every budget. I was looking for a quality wheeled 20" carry-on to replace a bag that was damaged beyond repair during my travel to the area to the point it wasn't going to make my return trip home. I found the checkout process a little strange with one line to access all the registers but it moved quickly and appears to be efficient - the customer service was exceptional and I left the store feeling I got a great product for a great price and that all one can really ask... read more

First time coming here, needed a place to grab some home decor and get inspired for the fall season. Really busy place, this store features such great deals on everything and honestly has plenty of hard to find bargains. Friendly staff and well stocked shelves. Parking lot is always full. Great selection of men's body sprays especially. read more

Do not order gift cards from the website they will not be delivered. I called customer service and the sweet lady told me that it's an ongoing problem. Maybe their website shouldn't advertise things if they're not going to follow through that's called false advertisement. I was blamed because I did not check the status of the delivery every single day. Now of course I have to wait 7-10 business days for my refund to come in. This location is in West Market Plaza, an area with a great variety of discount and other stores. The store was neat, organized and there was lots of merchandise available. Since it is fall, there was a lot of holiday merchandise for sale. The clearance section in the kids department was great, as was the clearance in the housewares area. They had lots of premium name clothing on clearance. The prices were comparable with other TJ Maxx stores. The purchase transaction went through with ease. read more

I love TJMaxx stores, since you never know what you'll find and there are always great deals. I've been to several different locations and this one has to be a favorite. I really liked their selection of clothing, jewelry and home accessories the last time I visited. Everything was well-organized for presentation and the people working here are very friendly and knowledgeable. I also enjoy the fact that it is only a few stores down from the Mustard Seed Market and Cafe that I frequent, well, frequently. And it's just down the street from Robeks! Yum! The only thing I would like to see here is the new remodeling that some TJMaxx stores have gotten, and the remodeled stores are very elegant and attain the feel of a boutique. The TJMaxx in Beavercreek was remodeled in 2009 and it is beautiful! But aside from that there are no complaints from the Fairlawn location. It's a great place to shop and you'll almost always be surprised with the great deals you'll find each time you go. read more

In order to sate both our OCD and shopping fixation, the momz and I have frequented every TJ Maxx within a 200-mile-radius of Cleveland. (This includes special trips down to the Reed Rd. TJ Maxx in Columbus. I know. We are ill.) This is probably, along with North Olmsted, my favorite location. They have started stocking a decent selection of what they call 'contemporary' labels, which are mostly mid-range, such as Joie, Rich&Skinny jeans, Vince, Nanette Lepore, &c. Also have a good array of Theory separates and the less frequent Elie Tahari pieces, which are highly desirable. I also see the occasional Helmut Lang piece here, which is always a thrill to try on (or to indulge once in a while). Even if I only have two days home from grad school, I make it a priority to hit Fairlawn just to look. A delight! read more

The house ware selection is limited, but that is perhaps due to the fact that Home Goods is located just a few miles up 18. As with all TJ Maxx shopping trips, you have to put aside the time to go through the racks of clothes, but there is almost always a bargain to be found. This location is particularly well-organized. One of the ladies who works as a fitting room attendant always makes me feel a little uncomfortable (she treats everyone like they are trying to steal merchandise). read more

IT ONLY TAKES ONE! Sometimes it only takes one great purchase to make you love a store and forget that a minute ago you were talking smack about how inadequate it is, how you can never find anything you like, how it's just changed over time. Well, you get the picture. So I have have been whining about TJ for a while because it is frustrating not being able to find something cute especially if you are a woman of a certain size. Now that we are heading into "performing arts season", I need to have more elevated options. I am talking special occasion wear not new jeans as some people would choose. There are always casual options to purchase but I was very delighted to find a beautifully designed top that was everything I wanted. It definitely said "Night out at the opera". Yes! I love this place. The store merchandise is always changing. The staff are helpful. I come here all the time. They have real upmarket brands, Coach, Kate Spade, even Prada occasionally. However.... On my last visit it was opening time, and the employees were all parking in the spots closest to the door. Not good. read more

So, I am not normally a fan of TJM, as I haven't been impressed with the quality/selection of the merchandise for the price point. Anyways, my graduate student son purchased a jewelry item for his gf at their Fairlawn store. As he was putting it in a gift box, the item broke. He took it back to TJM with receipt, and explained that he had not even given it to the recipient yet, and the clerk sent him back to the jewelry counter as it was "so expensive". There, he repeated himself to that clerk, who questioned how he handled it, and accused him of "breaking it". She then got her manager, who got a different manager, who, after my son politely explained for the fourth time that he had done nothing but try to wrap it, finally agreed to refund his debit card. As my son silently made his way out of the store, the first clerk told him to "be more careful next time". Are You Kidding Me??? First of all, if a jewelry item breaks as it is being wrapped, it is not very good quality! Secondly, my son was polite, to the point, and reminded the clerk of their printed refund policy on his receipt. Thirdly, he should not have had to "prove his case" to anyone. What a poor customer service response by several people including the store manager. Well, to sum it up, he went across the street to Jared's, bought a new item which was about twice the expense of the TJM item. It did NOT break being gently lifted into the gift box. TJM, when your store closes due to your poor customer service, think about how you insulted my son, lost him as a customer, as well as the entire family, and all who read this. No wonder TJM stock has fallen 22% YTD! Great job folks! read more

This is a great place for the latest fashion finds and trendy purses without spending a ton of money! There are always new things arriving weekly. The store has everything from clothing to cooking utensils to rugs. The best time to go to this store is during the week if possible, it tends to be busy on the weekend. read more

I was shopping today 8/4/17 at this location and had a very strange experience. I was shopping around the aisle when a middle aged man, hunter green too with jeans on seemed to be following me... I ended up in the women's clothing section and he came walking past me staring at me to end up by the fitting rooms? Which he had nothing in his hands. I stood there and looked over my shoulder, it was almost like he was trying to make me aware of him... really not sure. At this point in starting to worry but decide to check out. I get to cashier number 4 and the last helping me was bagging my items. I seen him walk past me to number 3, a child with a cart was with him. They started checking out and all the sudden he walked up to where I was standing checking out and just stood there and blatantly stared at me.... I was so uncomfortable and scared at this point.
