However, I had to get a manager involved to return a t-shirt because I had worn it before finding it defective. It was sewn wrong and the collar just curled up. I ended up purchasing some items that I have been wanting but just didn't know how to use them I was able to order over the phone with Sam and she was so helpful determining the shades I needed and made it very seamless!! It's is a good mall. I visited on the last Saturday of March 2026 and during the first weekend in May 2026 for business. PARKING -- There are alot of free parking options outside at the parking lot. SHOPPING -- Plenty of shops to choose from such as J.Crew, Victoria's Secrets, Yankee Candle, Kopper Popper (popcorn store), Apple (foe cell phones, headphones, and laptops), Auntie Anne's (pretzels), etc. FOOD -- There is a food court here that has about 5 different type of restaurants. I noticed Sbarro (pizza), Charley's Philly Steaks (Philly cheesesteak sandwiches), and Asian Chao (Chinese food). I've tried food from Asian Chao which was good - I got rice, some vegetables, and I believe chicken in a to-go plastic container. If you live in the area then visit Summit Mall. There are activities for children (a playground inside) which is probably what is keeping the mall alive considering that online shopping is on the rise. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 78/250 total reviews in 2026 - 919 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 13 May 2026

I think their model is here so simple but genius. They offer hundreds of different shirts - colors, brands, lengths - and you pick your shirt. Next, you choose the design from their wall and they create you a custom shirt in a few minutes. There is nothing worse than walking into a shop like this only to discover that the women's sizes look like they should fit children and that the mens sizes look too short for your tall friend. By offering a diverse range of brands, lengths and sizes, you can find anything you need. So, I'm not from Akron. Aside from liking The Black Keys and Lebron James, I don't have any relationship to the city. While most of the designs are Akron-focused, they have one Ohio-focused one I selected. My t-shirt came out great. It is so comfy and I love the color (because I picked it). Such a wonderful store with wonderful people. I'll be back!

The shop is medium sized, nowhere near some of the big stores, but what you will find is really high quality items at a great price. The Discovery Shop has a nice if not huge selection of clothes, they have just recently expanded the men's area in the back to allow for more variety. Most of the items are high end and usually very current. Where the Discovery Shop really shines is the selection of art, decor and interesting items. It seems that they get more upscale donations then most thrift stores, plus they are raising money for a great cause. Other items include books, media, all kinds of kitchenware, plates, glasses and jewelry. Prices are reasonable, what makes it even better is that they have a 50% discount color every week and the last weekend of each month the entire store is 50% off. Over the years I have found some really nice sports coats and a number of carved wood items at the Discovery Shop. Well worth a stop to check out if you are looking for some great items at good prices, plus it is great to support the American Cancer Society.
