Excellent customer service! Brought a family member here to buy shoes. Thought we would give Lucky Shoes a try since he has a hard to fit foot. Found shoes! Yea! The sales person was very helpful and sized my family member's foot. The sales person also suggested shoes based on what he was looking for, and helped him try on shoes. This store has classic and modern styles. I also noticed a nice selection of UGG, which I plan to get for myself on a near future visit. This is an excellent shoe store with name brand, good quality shoes and professional sales staff. Will be back soon! Need to add that my family member loves their new shoes. read more

Went into the Lucky running store and had no luck being helped. Went next door to the other lucky store and sure enough no luck again getting help. Customer experience is not bad, it simply doesn't exist. Bad retail needs of closing and I hope they get their act together or they won't be around like the other bad retailers. read more

This used to be the place to get kids shoes. Sadly they do not have a large inventory anymore and the shoes are often overpriced for what you could buy online. They are a good spot if you need shoes fitted. read more

I chose to go to the store because it had Hoka shoes as well as Vionic shoes with the store a few doors down. Unfortunately, I ended up going two times, and both times I was unable to receive service. I was in the market for gym shoes, as well as work shoes, and each time I went they told me they didn't have enough staff to service me. I have never been treated with such disrespect and rudeness in a retail setting in my entire life. The manager was dismissive, rude, and absolutely unwilling to assist me. That was the first time I went. The next day I tried again, and received the same response from another associate. It was 6:30 PM, they close at 7 PM, and with no one in the store and three associates on the floor, I was told that there was not enough staff to assist me in walking down to the Vionic store. I was told to come back on the weekend. I couldn't even believe how rude, dismissive, and unhelpful every single one of the staff was, specifically the manager, each time I was there. I will never give my business to this store, and I sure hope you consider not going here if you expect good customer service. read more

Make sure that you check in at the counter when you get there. If you come in and wander around waiting for someone to help you, you'll be there all day watching other people try on shoes. I go to Lucky Shoes every year for my kids' back to school shoes because I know that they will be properly fitted and the shoes will last. That is worth the high price of the shoes to me. However, this year I'm taking my business to the Belden Village store because of the poor customer service that I have received at the Fairlawn location in the past. Most of the employees are lovely but there is one woman there that is just foul. Rude, short tempered, and all around unfriendly. Not a good combination when you're dealing with children and mothers who are about to plunk down hundreds of dollars for shoes. read more

You praise yourself on your employees being trained in foot health education. Yet I've been to the Fairlawn location twice and my husband once and stated our foot problems. He was handed inserts for his boots, never offered new boots, said try these they should work and they did nothing. I am on my second pair of work tennis shoes, never once were my feet measured, even after I stated my issues, they assured me these would do the trick and my feet are still killing me. After spending $160 on a pair of New Balance trainers for my husband, one of the eyelets started to come apart. I took the shoes back expecting an exchange. What I got was a thirty minute wait and an attitude when Stephanie (the manager) learned I had a problem. "Sorry, you'll have to call New Balance directly." Then she told me to have a nice day. I will NEVER spend a dime at any Lucky Shoes ever again. I am also going to encourage all of my friends, family and neighbors NOT to shop at Lucky's or shall I say, UNLUCKY's! They actually measure your feet and fit you for shoes! When was the last time you can remember a pair of shoes that fit _perfectly_? These folks do it. I remember going to a Lucky Shoes as a child and the quality fit and shoes that come of those trips. We've taken our son here his entire life to be fitted correctly for shoes and they have always been professional and patient. The prices are a bit higher than a department store or discount shoe store, but they more than make up for it in service. I'm looking forward to their new space this spring. I'm sure it will be a great location to continue the tradition of quality that I've come to experience. read more

The store specializes in the best lines of shoes that are good for your feet , which nowadays doesn't mean they're ugly shoes. And it also specializes in salespeople who are trained to understand all the things that could be wrong with your feet so they can recommend the right shoes for your issues. The past two times I've been there I've come away with purchases that I feel really good about and that will make my life so much better. Bought some great winter boots there today, and already I'm feeling more optimistic about the fact that we're having a snowstorm so early in the season. read more

This is not the first time I've been to Lucky Shoes. Usually it is a very good experience for a good product. My trip really started off at Strongsville Lucky shoes; however I was taken away to Fairlawn due to a killer deal on my new Vibram Five Fingers Spyridon shoes for 67.00! Upon arrival I immediately went to find the shoes and they were not present. My Strongsville rep had contacted Fairlawn to make sure the shoes were kept for me. A salesman quickly found me and asked me what I needed. I explained to him I was here to find the shoes that Strongsville called about. Quickly he went away to find my shoes. He came back and then I inspected and fit the shoes. I did notice the bottom was scuffed and the inside had the branding wiped off...these were not new shoes; they were not lightly worn and tried in the store. I asked for another "10 off". The sales rep quickly agreed. I was also purchasing a 2nd pair of running shoes this day at full price New Balance Trail Glove Minimus. I tried them on as well to a perfect fit and definitely a new pair (no scuffs) At the register I was about to be rang out and the salesman came back and said the store manager wouldn't approve my 10 percent (I thought to myself I want 10 dollars off, not 10 percent but at this point, held my tongue). I asked to talk to the manager. I saw him walk out; he made eye contact with me and then turned around. The salesman came back and said 10 percent was ok and that there was a misunderstanding that I wanted the shoes at 10 percent cost, I wanted to say I wanted 10 dollars off, but at that point I figured for 5 bucks, it was still a heal of a deal and I just went with it. Overall not a bad experience, I will probably be back, I know to keep an eye out for good sales and just to make sure the shoes are not excessively worn even if on sale!!! read more

We only use Lucky Shoes for kids' shoes. We have had only great experiences there. On our recent visit Mate was great with a reluctant toddler. He made sure to make her feel less afraid and even offered to get a female in case his being a male was the problem. It was not--she is in that phase of being unsure of strangers--but he proceeded to make her feel OK with this very scary experience of getting new shoes! Went there on a recommendation from my podiatrist. I was greeted promptly and assisted within 5 mins (it was a Saturday and the place was hopping). My feet were measured, and the associate brought several brands to try. I was ready to buy 2 pr of $125 shoe when they found the shoes were mismatched in size, and there were no others in the store or their other locations. They are special ordering them, but that's 2 wks out. And as I was filling out my forms to order, 2 other associates reported the same thing -- what the heck's going on? Just bought another pair of shoes (Clark's). While they carry the best quality shoes in the area, in my opinion, many times they must order my size. Over the past 30 years I have bought most of my shoes from Lucky's. A.J. Wright, Allen-Edmonds, Florsheim, NB, Clark, etc. They didn't carry Sketchers for men, but the inter net did. That's the only sale of mine they have lost in years. Great service, good products. read more

Highly recommend this store for anybody with any type of medical foot problem or with feet that are difficult to size (too narrow, too wide, or caught in between sizes). They know their stock, and they know what types of shoes, soles and inserts are best for the problems that you have. Our family goes to the store in Fairlawn. Service is quick, efficient, friendly; just tell them exactly what your needs are and what you are looking for. The shoes are not cheap, and I wouldn't come here just for regular run-of-the-mill shoe shopping. But what you receive is worth the money when you have foot issues! If you buy a pair of shoes that you think are great, but after a week of wearing them you realize they actually hurt your feet, they will take them back and work with you to find a pair that you are happy with. I have been to this store 4 times in the last year. Every time I am desperate, since I swore I would not return. Each time I have walked out (today included). There is no sales associate to wait on you on the stride rite side. I have waited anywhere from 5-15 minutes. This was my last attempt and will never go back. They are always rude anyways. The salesman, Joe, was patronizing, condescending, and tried to pressure me into buying shoes that were far more expensive than I was willing to purchase. He made me feel as if it were the 1950s again and I was one of the "ladies who lunch" by insisting on calling me by my first name over and over and over. I had to insist that he remove the $400 shoes that he had brought out on his own from my feet (the pair I had asked to try on were $100). He suggested that I not wear my custom-made prescription orthotics, because it made fitting my feet more difficult (that's why I was at that store). He also insisted that I wear an 8, then sold me a 7 1/2 that he had to pad in order to keep from falling off. I suspect that he did not have the shoes in a 7 and was determined to make a sale. My friend swears by the store, so possibly other salespeople provide better service. If you get Joe -- run, run like the wind. read more

I had the misfortune of attempting to buy shoes here today. After hoofing around Columbus the previous two days, my left foot was a kind of a mess, and I could barely walk in the flats I brought. Having previous good experiences at Lucky Shoes, I figured I could trust them to take good care of me. While visiting a friend in the area, we drove 30 mins to go to this store. Instead of being taken care of, I was made to feel like a leper and treated rudely by the saleswoman and manager. I warned her I had in-tact blistering on my foot. She measured me and then proceeded to ask if I had socks or a more bandaids. I answered no, and she told me that she couldn't help me. She continued to talk down to me quite loudly and then after basically telling me to leave, she added insult to injury by saying 'that does look like it hurts.' I would have gladly purchased socks, worn extra footies or only tried a shoe on my other foot. I understand my foot wasn't in pristine condition, but it wasn't gross or open in any way and was covered by a bandaid. As I was leaving, angry and nearly crying, the manager who overheard the exchange said, 'You're all set? Good.' Lucky Shoes lost the $200 I planned on spending today and all of my future business. I hobbled to Target and got what I needed for $18. It may not be a great pair of shoes that I bought, but at least they wanted my money. read more
