I went to Encore looking for my wedding dress, and I was amazed at the selection and prices of…read moredresses they carried! Granted, my experience prior to Encore was thrift shops and antique clothing stores with a small selection of dresses, so if you're coming from David's Bridal it might seem more limited. However, it is SO worth stopping by Encore if you're dress shopping, because their prices are amazing for dresses in new condition. I ended up falling in love with the first dress I tried on, but it was much too long and strapless and I was afraid the alterations to shorten it and add sleeves would push us beyond our budget, so I wasn't sure what to think. However, the sweet saleswoman who was assisting us let us know that the seamstress Encore recommends just happened to be in the store for another Bridal fitting, and so she came and checked out the dress on me as soon as she was done with her appointment. She immediately pulled out some cap sleeves to give me an idea of what it would look like, and pinned my dress up the way it would look if it was the right length, as well as all bustled up. (It has a big train!) She was so personable and knowledgeable, my mother and I instantly trusted her...yet we were still holding our breath about the price, since some of the alterations were a little tricky with the complexity of the dress. She gave us her quote and I just about fell over...because of how incredibly reasonable it was! My mother and I instantly said yes to her doing the alterations, and we bought the dress! We also shopped around for a mother of a bride dress and a shower dress for me, and all the prices were great. What I especially appreciate about Encore is how organized everything is, as well as the quality of the items. They only take the good stuff! Seriously, whether you're looking for that special dress or some everyday clothes, you gotta come check this place out.

The shop has a nice variety of decor, knickknacks, kitchenware, jewelry, collectibles, art books and lots of other stuff; they do not carry clothes, shoes and similar items. The thrift shop benefits the Summit Humane Society, so they have a nice selection of pet supplies and toys. I enjoy Happy Trails for the collectibles and art items. Over the years I have gotten a number of interesting items, recently I picked up a small carved Asian wood panel and a small replica Samuri helmet. I have also picked up pans, collectible pins and a backpack from Happy Trails. You can never be sure what they will have for sale, but they always have an interesting selection. They also have some really good high-end items most of which are up front near the register; they also usually have some nice antiques or vintage items. Overall prices are very reasonable especially because of the quality of the items they are offering. If you are in the area a stop at Happy Trails Thrift is well worth your time, they always have some fun items and great selection. Plus it is great to help support the Humane Society either by donating or buying something at the store. The staff at the store are wonderful and very friendly.
