As the last day of camp finishes today, I just wanted to alert this Yelp community to the amazing…read moreexperience Camp Riverbend (in Warren) has provided for our daughter this Summer. Obviously there was some hesitation with allowing our daughter to attend any camp this year, but the Breene family that runs the camp was amazing not only from a logistical point of view but also in providing a safe "normal" environment for kids to enjoy. We have joked (but not really joking) that other entities should take notes on not only how to do proper communication but then effectively implementing and providing an environment in which all participants could feel safe. If the Breene family can provide this type of atmosphere under the circumstances they faced this Summer, imagine the experience they can provide when, hopefully, things are a bit more normal next Summer! Please consider Camp Riverbend for your child's next Summer camp experience.

All kinds of fairy houses dot the trail, some solitary, and some in little hamlets. I can only imagine the hours of play time this trail provides kids. STEPH JUDGEMENT: A fun, homespun art experience along a beautiful walking trail…read more We were staying with some friends in the area, and while perusing Google maps I noticed this spot, which sounded fun. Our friends knew about it and said they hadn't been since their kids were little, but were game to take us. It started out as a guerilla DIY art project by a local guy but has since become an official part of the beautiful South Mountain Reservation park. It's basically a bunch of adorable handmade fairy houses along a walking trail. Different people contributed to the trail, but at some point new additions were forbidden. Some houses were dilapidated, and I'm not sure how they're maintained (if at all), but there were enough houses to make for an enchanting stop.
