At night the darkness allows the stars to stare down upon you. The camp has only about 25ish sites with one community shower/bath house that's heated and clean but the grounds are very small. They have a descent playground for the little ones, you can hike in the vicinity and a bike trail ( 7 flat miles) close by that's safe for kids with a pool in the summer. No RV sewer hook ups at individual sites. $30+ per night is cheap.

She enjoyed all the activities and tried new things that she likely would not have had an opportunity to experience such as: zip lining, fishing/boating, archery and ropes course. She got out of her comfort zone, tried new things and did not regret it. A big positive with this camp is that it has many other activities other than sports. My daughter is not into sports but there were so many other outdoor activities as well as science, art and theater that she enjoyed. She also got to do weekly horseback riding. My picky eater kid also loved the food here! I was shocked she was eating seconds at lunch (they are very generous in giving the kids more food if they are still hungry). And of course the bus picking up and dropping off right in front of your house is so convenient. We already signed up our kid for next summer. The summer camp bar has now been set high, as I don't think she will be satisfied attending any other camp after her fun Harbor Hills experience.

Safety was the first priority, but so was enrichment, A setting where she would be challenged, and would continue to grow academically and socially. I wanted her to be engaged and challenged. TLE provides all that and more. Their child centered curriculum is motivating and fun for kids. Most importantly, it is kid appropriate. It includes technology based but also workbook centered and hands on experiences. They even added a musical component to their curriculum. Everything is taught with fun, relatable characters that continues to each grade level for a thematic approach. Also, this school is spotless. Every time I enter that school, it just smells clean. It is obvious that things are routinely sanitized. In times, like these, cleanliness is key. In each other the 3 rooms my daughter has been in, toys are organized and labeled. Everything has its place. As a bonus, my daughter is taught to always put away toys/activities when she is done playing. Also, the owner, Jo-Ann, the director, Amanda and the assistant director, Christina are just really wonderful people. They are kind, warm and welcoming. They are effective at not only making each family/child feel welcome, but also in running an organized, efficient school. Any and all of my questions are always addressed with patience and real solutions. The teachers there also have greatly influenced my daughter. Two in particular, Ms. Cheyenne and Ms. Olivia, really influenced her. She looked forward to seeing them because they truly took the time to not only make her feel special, but also to provide consistent guidance and educational support. Finally, TLE has a lot of philanthropic endeavors. They raise awareness about both health and social issues that effect our community as well as the world. From food drives, book collections, healthy heart awareness and even holiday gifts for families in need, this school teaches children to give back. This is a very important concept that both myself and my husband teach our daughter about. It is wonderful to have her school do the same. After all, in a world where you can be anything, we should really all be kind. I can not say enough nice things about the school and the actual company Itself. I looked at over 5 different daycares in our area before registering here. I did the random drop inns, asked the important questions and really observed what was going on before selecting a school. If you want a place for your child to stay safe, continue to grow and be challenged academically, TLE is the school for your family's daycare needs.

At the end of summer 2023 we put down a deposit to reserve his spot for the following summer. The camp took our deposit and emailed confirmation of enrollment in August. In December we receive an email from the camp stating my son was no longer a good fit. As a parent, this was heartbreaking. After being a family of this camp for years, they didn't even have the courtesy to have any verbal communication with us. I find the actions of this camp to be discriminatory. Approach with caution.

When we tried to login to our account to sign her up for the following summer, we were locked out of the program. After multiple calls to sort it out, we find out that she was not invited back to camp. The camp opted not to tell us that she was not invited back, they just removed us from the mailing list and locked us out of our account. Inviting her back is at their discretion. What is inexcusable and totally unprofessional is not telling us and having us find out by locking us out of our account. Someone had to actively remove our family emails from the distribution list and actively remove our login details from the Camp Minder program. After 3 years of camping with them, they had so little concern for our camper and our family that they didn't call us? This camp does not live up to their mission - they do not care about the families/girls that camp with them.

The Director likes to say the camp is one of the only places kids today can get the experiences we had growing up, being able to just go out and play with your friends in a safe, but not stifling environment (I'm sure I'm paraphrasing how he puts it, but that's the message I've always gotten). I think that's a fair assessment of it. Also, the other thing I love about the place is that my two kids have very divergent interests, but there is so much to do there that there are many activities that speak to both of them.
