Selecting a summer…read morecamp for your kids is a very big decision and it's really important to do your homework and get it right. Having grown up in East Brunswick most of my life, I was nervous at first when my wife suggested we send the kids to Eagles Landing. I had attended Lake-Vu Day Camp for over seven summers and it was the best time of my life. I couldn't even imagine sending my kids anywhere else. Back then, Eagles Landing was Mill Road Day Camp, and quite frankly, Mill Road didn't hold a candle to Lake-Vu. But a lot has changed in the past few decades. For one, my beloved Lake-Vu Day Camp is now called *LakeView* Day Camp. To me, that is history that you just don't mess with. Something about that simple change turned the camp into a complete stranger in my mind. This name change apparently happened in conjunction with new owners purchasing the camp from the Levine family, who were among the most revered local celebrities in East Brunswick history. That the Levine's were no longer there was a concern for me. (Stick with me. I'm going somewhere with all of this.) My memories of Lake-Vu back in the '80s are some of the best memories of my life, and to be clear, I have nothing bad to say about the new LakeView. Our neighbors send their kids there and are very happy. However, when we spoke to others in town about where to send our little ones, there was a clear bias in favor of Eagle's Landing. And that's when I learned that the owner of Eagles Landing was formerly the Camp Director of the original Lake-Vu, who I vaguely remembered. He and his wife have an impeccable reputation in town, which was clear from all the great feedback we received from our neighbors and friends about how they've transformed Mill Road Day Camp into the beautiful Eagles Landing that stands today. So my wife and I met them briefly over the winter for a tour, and I immediately got a great vibe from both of them. It was also clear that a lot of time, money, and passion had been put into all the upgrades and renovations across the grounds. I was sold. We decided to take the plunge and signed up both kids for the summer. We also talked my brother and sister-in-law, who also live in town, to take the tour, and their three little ones are now attending as well. Likewise with our best friends across town who also followed suit, signing their two older boys up for the season. The rest is history in the making. Camp is now fully under way, the grounds are absolutely beautiful and more modern than anything I would have expected from a camp, and most importantly, our kids are the happiest I have ever seen them in their short little lives. What impressed me most was the orientation day where I got to meet all the staff during a full afternoon where all the kids and parents could swim and take part in all the camp activities. It was obvious that a very thoughtful screening process was used to select the staff, most of who are still young themselves. I could not feel more confident in the care and attention my children are receiving this summer. To run a camp of this size, you really have to know what you're doing, and you have to love what you do with tireless passion and energy. The decision to send our kids to camp here at Eagle's Landing is proving to be one the best and most important investments we've made on behalf of our children. Knowing how many of my favorite memories are memories of camp, I am so happy to see my kids making a whole bunch of memories of their own. I know they will cherish them forever.

My boys now 7 and 12 attended Steve and Kate's camp in Princeton last year (2024) and loved it…read more They attended camp again this year and are having a wonderful time exploring baking, STEM, and outdoor activities. Each day they offer something different. One day when I picked my boys up, they said "why did you come so early, we were having fun." Steve and Kate's offer camp hours from 8 to 6 and provide snack and lunch, which is a bonus. The camp councilors are respectful and friendly. I know that my boys are in good hands when I drop them off for the day.

My kids have played all sorts of intramural sports and camps there, the facilities are top notch. I utilize it for the gym, weight machines, ellipticals and treadmills are available by reservation or walk in. The gym has televisions to keep you occupied while you are putting in your workout. The staff is very very friendly. The only knock are the hours, 8 to 9 is good but I would love to see it open at 630 or 7 or stay open until 10pm....again its the one knock and that is to accommodate my own schedule.

Football practice is held across the parking lot, when the weather isn't great. They offer several youth, adult and senior programs as well as the above mentioned Summer camp program. Since the beginning I felt that something is different about this school. The difference is caring and attention. Every child at SciCore Academy is treated as if he or she is a member of the family. Dr Poulos and Mrs Poulos care deeply for our children. All teachers there provide individual approach in educational process. They bond with students and find the way to make subject more interesting. Level of education provided at SciCore Academy is outstanding, and way above compare to public schools. Another very important factor is that all School staff including the principal are easily accessible. If I have any questions, I can just easily pick up the phone or send an email. I do not recommend Lightbridge Academy based on my experience with their Plainsboro location. My…read morechild, who has developmental delays and feeding-related medical needs, was enrolled here. Despite multiple conversations, written documentation, and coordination with her therapists--including Early Intervention providers visiting the school--the staff consistently failed to meet her basic safety needs. On her final day, I discovered she had been given water by a teacher who was unaware of her feeding plan. My child has documented swallowing difficulties and is not permitted to drink water at daycare. I received two completely different explanations from staff: one teacher (Ms. Subarna) claimed in writing that she had not been given water at all, while another (Ms. Corrine) told me she had. After I raised the concern, the Brightwheel log was altered to remove the mention of water. This wasn't just a mistake--it was a serious communication breakdown with conflicting accounts and document tampering. Before I even arrived to pick her up, I watched via the classroom camera as my child picked up another child's water bottle, put it in her mouth, then handed it back. No adult was present at the table. She could have choked or aspirated. No one informed me of this--I saw it myself. The administrators later admitted it happened and described it as "unacceptable" and promised to retrain staff. But that's not good enough when you're talking about a child's medical safety. This was not an isolated issue. On another occasion, I watched via the cameras as my child was left unsupervised at a table with another child who had a cracker. She took the cracker and put it in her mouth. At the time, she did not eat solids and this posed a clear choking hazard. No one notified me--it was something I discovered on my own. Incidents like this were repeated and avoidable, and reflect a serious failure of basic supervision protocols. Throughout our time there, we experienced: * Staff regularly failing to follow her feeding therapy plan * Teachers giving her bottles after purée against clear written instructions * Another child sleeping on her crib sheet, and her sleeping on another child's bedding * Ongoing lack of support despite her being diagnosed with global developmental delays * Frequent turnover of teachers, many of whom were unfamiliar with her accommodations * Repeated miscommunications, lack of consistency, and disregard for therapist recommendations Even more troubling, the head teacher of the infant classroom repeatedly told me my child was meeting her milestones--despite our child receiving Early Intervention services and having a formal diagnosis of global developmental delay. After I shared the findings of her speech-language pathologist, this teacher admitted they have "more information and training for toddlers not meeting milestones," and that they "don't have much training on infants with delays." That is unacceptable. That is their job. They are entrusted with the care and developmental monitoring of infants, and this admission reveals a lack of basic preparedness and staff training that puts children at risk. When I brought these concerns to the director, Ms. Krupa, I was told there are "tons of other great schools in Plainsboro." Rather than taking immediate responsibility, I was subtly encouraged to find a better fit. That's exactly what I did. This will be documented with the state. My child should not have had to be the reason they finally decided to 'do better.' If your child has special needs, medical concerns, or requires any accommodations--I urge you to look elsewhere. I hope no other child gets hurt before real changes are made.
