I do not recommend Lightbridge Academy based on my experience with their Plainsboro location. My child, who has developmental delays and feeding-related medical needs, was enrolled here. Despite multiple conversations, written documentation, and coordination with her therapists--including Early Intervention providers visiting the school--the staff consistently failed to meet her basic safety needs. On her final day, I discovered she had been given water by a teacher who was unaware of her feeding plan. My child has documented swallowing difficulties and is not permitted to drink water at daycare. I received two completely different explanations from staff: one teacher (Ms. Subarna) claimed in writing that she had not been given water at all, while another (Ms. Corrine) told me she had. After I raised the concern, the Brightwheel log was altered to remove the mention of water. This wasn't just a mistake--it was a serious communication breakdown with conflicting accounts and document tampering. Before I even arrived to pick her up, I watched via the classroom camera as my child picked up another child's water bottle, put it in her mouth, then handed it back. No adult was present at the table. She could have choked or aspirated. No one informed me of this--I saw it myself. The administrators later admitted it happened and described it as "unacceptable" and promised to retrain staff. But that's not good enough when you're talking about a child's medical safety. This was not an isolated issue. On another occasion, I watched via the cameras as my child was left unsupervised at a table with another child who had a cracker. She took the cracker and put it in her mouth. At the time, she did not eat solids and this posed a clear choking hazard. No one notified me--it was something I discovered on my own. Incidents like this were repeated and avoidable, and reflect a serious failure of basic supervision protocols. Throughout our time there, we experienced: * Staff regularly failing to follow her feeding therapy plan * Teachers giving her bottles after purée against clear written instructions * Another child sleeping on her crib sheet, and her sleeping on another child's bedding * Ongoing lack of support despite her being diagnosed with global developmental delays * Frequent turnover of teachers, many of whom were unfamiliar with her accommodations * Repeated miscommunications, lack of consistency, and disregard for therapist recommendations Even more troubling, the head teacher of the infant classroom repeatedly told me my child was meeting her milestones--despite our child receiving Early Intervention services and having a formal diagnosis of global developmental delay. After I shared the findings of her speech-language pathologist, this teacher admitted they have "more information and training for toddlers not meeting milestones," and that they "don't have much training on infants with delays." That is unacceptable. That is their job. They are entrusted with the care and developmental monitoring of infants, and this admission reveals a lack of basic preparedness and staff training that puts children at risk. When I brought these concerns to the director, Ms. Krupa, I was told there are "tons of other great schools in Plainsboro." Rather than taking immediate responsibility, I was subtly encouraged to find a better fit. That's exactly what I did. This will be documented with the state. My child should not have had to be the reason they finally decided to 'do better.' If your child has special needs, medical concerns, or requires any accommodations--I urge you to look elsewhere. I hope no other child gets hurt before real changes are made. read more

If I could give this day care (Lightbridge Academy of Plainsboro)10 stars I would!! You know it is an amazing place when the kids don't want to leave at pick up time. I love that they feel as though it is their second home. The staff is incredibly friendly and sweet. One thing I absolutely love is the live cameras. I am able to check in time to time to see how they are doing as well as check into the moment path app to see the progress throughout the day. Its amazing to see how they bring smiles to all the kids as soon as they enter the daycare. Can't forget the time when my baby was crying and the infant teacher just held her for 1 second and she stopped crying. Just knowing that there are caring arms at this center!! read more

I would highly recommend Lightbridge Academy! My daughter went here from 2-4 years old. The teachers and administrators care very much for their students. They are attentive and always respectful. Ms. Krupa, Ms. Denae and Ms. Manisha are always ready to help and answer any questions/concerns. The only reason my daughter switched schools is because she received placement in a school that was a 5 minute drive from our house in Princeton. It was bittersweet to go! read more

The care that Lightbridge Academy of Plainsboro has given my son is remarkable. The infant teachers are caring, responsive, up to date on practices, flexible with his sleep schedule, and very knowledgeable. *Review coming from 1-2 months experience with this daycare and MY experience with Lightbridge of Plainsboro* I just want to start off by saying, parents please always watch the cameras, i know with work and things we can get so tied up we forget to look at the cameras but you'll really notice and see a lot when you pay attention to them. It was my first baby, new mother, looking to go back to work my daughter was around 7 months. I wanted to leave her in a place where I felt comfortable, and trust them with my daughter. This place wasn't it!! it all started on her first day, I watched My daughter cry while getting ignored (one her first day!) which you would think she'll get just a little bit of more attention because she's knew and doesn't know anyone. It was so traumatizing seeing her cry the way she did, turn so red, never seen her get like that. I go back in with tears in my eyes, wanting to speak to the teacher, I told her what's going on, you know she deserves more attention since it's her first day. She replied "she has no answer for me on why she left my daughter crying*. That was the first red flag, well as a business owner, I'm aware of giving second chances and start again on right food. I took her back, they were more on top of her because they saw that I am AlWAYS watching. My daughters feeding schedule was so messed up, they wouldn't feed her on time. I called the school to talk the teacher (leader of infants) again, why is my daughter not getting fed on time. Her response "we are short staffed" so we are having trouble getting all the kids in on time. The daycare is getting paid on time, why does not daughter have to suffer on them not having enough teachers. (There is always new teachers with babies, the only that is always there (lead teacher) That was another red flag. The last red flag were I was like yeah, I think its enough chances was when another (big baby, walks and runs) I saw hitting the other babies that are just beginning to crawl. They would leave the babies alone in the play area, so the teacher would notice till the baby started crying. Which is why there should always be a teacher watching the babies even if there in the pay area. Incidents like this wouldn't have happen and avoided since they are all babies and don't know any better. I saw the baby then hit my daughter, to the point where she started crying they said no to him then moved him. I was just so unhappy with their care with my daughter, I decided to transfer to another Lightbridge and honestly I wish I would've took her to the new Lightbridge she is in from the beginning. read more

I enrolled my infant daughter because the place seemed to be great and everyone was so nice during the tour. Well fast forward to two weeks later and I wish I had gone elsewhere. First off, if we pay extra for cameras, we should be able to see our child in view at all times. They would put her crib in the corner in the far back away from sight from even the teachers view. She is just learning to roll and I was concerned about her rolling over on her stomach and not being able to roll back over because shes's done it at home and the teachers there were not checking on her. Two, my baby is a small three month old who should be carefully watched when they allow the older babies who are walking around her. My daughter was hit in the head (still soft mind you) with a teacher sitting right there allowing it to happen. I told them I did not want her near the older babies who could hurt her and preferred her to be in the swing or her crib when they were out. Then, luckily for cameras, I witnessed them leave her in the gated area alone with 5 mobile infants. I watched my daughter have a child three times the size of her almost fall on top of her because the teachers thought it would be ok to leave her in there without supervision. I freaked out and they of course stuck up for their workers and had zero compassion for my situation and what their workers had allowed. I gave one last shot thinking my complaining and calling them out had gotten through to their incompetent minds, but no. I get all the way to work and decide to view how my daughter was doing before walking into work, and the same thing happened. They left my 3 month old alone with mobile infants who could seriously injure her. I had a panic attack while trying to find their number and dial them to address what was happening. I was told I was being dramatic!!! My worrying about my child is being dramatic. This was the director whom also has an infant and she has zero worries about them with her child .. gee I wonder why. Of course they are going to treat her child better than everyone else's or they will loose their job. She had zero compassion or remorse. I was literally crying on the phone and they didn't even care. I left my job, got fired for leaving without notice because I was too worried about my baby whom once they got off the phone grabbed her and sat her in a chair and ignored her until I got there. read more

This place and the people are amazing! I have had at least one child enrolled here for over 4 years. The teachers are extremely caring. You can see how much they love the children and what they are doing. My kids are always so excited to come home and tell me about what they learned. The front office staff are always so kind and responsive. During the pandemic, it was scary to send my kids to school but Lightbridge is doing an amazing job keeping everyone safe and the rooms clean. You couldn't ask for a better staff! Not sure how I would keep my job or my sanity without these amazing caregivers. read more

My son attended for 4 months from 4-8 months old. I do not recommend this center as they consistently did not meet acceptable standards of infant care. First issue: dangerous practices including allowing infants to sleep in swings and not securing infants in high chairs, despite numerous requests and what should be common knowledge for childcare workers. Second issue: failure to properly feed my child. I would routinely unpack his bag from the day to find they did not offer or even open the food I packed. At 8 months old, my son was eating multiple meals & snacks of solids daily yet in their care he would only have bottles despite numerous requests to offer the food I provided. Third issue: inconsistent staffing/high staff turnover. The head teacher I met on the tour was rarely actually in the room, and if I came in with questions or issues her response was regularly that she hadn't been in the room that day/morning/afternoon/etc. The other teachers were constantly changing so there was no consistent figure that my son, or my husband and I, knew, and no one that got to know my son's personality or routine. Fourth issue: far too much container use. Children were constantly left in swings, high chairs, etc. with no enrichment for 45 minutes or more. Per AAP guidelines containers should be used for no more than 15 minutes at a time. It should not be hard to engage infants in the gated carpeted area so they can have free play and tummy time when it is quite literally your job. I left work on multiple occasions to pick my son up after seeing problematic things on the cameras. We ultimately pulled him as soon as other childcare became available. Lightbridge Academy has been a great resource for my family.  I am so thankful my children have a safe place to learn and grow. One of the reasons I initially decided to place my children at this daycare was because of their WatchMeGrow camera view.  It's wonderful to be able to check in on my children any time of the day.  I love that along with daily email reports on my children, I also receive pictures and updates throughout the day with their Lightbridge app. Lightbridge Academy has gone above and beyond to ensure that my oldest was more than adequately prepared for kindergarten - their PreK education is great. Additionally,  I was amazed at the speed my youngest picked up the alphabet, counting, colors and shapes. As a working mom, it's great to see smiles on your children's faces as you drop them off at daycare before work and then also see those same smiles hours later when you pick them up.  It's clear the care they feel happy and safe AND actually have a fun time there! read more

Awesome childcare. My granddaughter loves going to Pre-K at Lightbridge Academy in Plainsboro, NJ. She always has a happy smiling face when leaving and is always excited to go back the next day. The staff/teachers are always friendly and full of energy. The place is also very clean, organized and well maintained. My son has been going here for 3 years best place ever! I love that he comes home telling me what he learned that day and that he's excited to show me all his artwork that he did. Another great thing about this place is that I can communicate with my sons teachers through a program called moment path and I can see what he ate and what he is learning as well. The director and owner are awesome! You can definitely see that they love the kids and that the kids and teachers happiness are VERY important to them. This has been my back-up care for over a year now. My daughter loves the environment, and comes home with the cutest and creative projects! Unlike other daycares, the Lightbridge academy provides camera view, so one can always see their baby; which I am grateful for. Both the director and assistant director are excellent and exhibit great care for te school and the children. When I move closer to them, I will enroll my daughter full time. read more

A prefect 5 star review is not enough for this center. However there is a reason why am praising this child care center. It's amazing, I'm incredibly grateful for the care that my daughter receives on a daily basis. My daughter started attending Lightbridge in December 2018 from her first day at Lightbridge she has sung praises for all the teachers and office staff. She loves everyone and you can tell how much the teacher love and care for the children. Beside seeing live on their parent view system and their live e-communication tool Lightbridge journey app were you can see live feed on how much she ate,slept and activities. The center has been open for five years and it's looks like it just opened their opens with staff that has been there from day one. You can tell the staff loves being there because there is no staff turn over. I love all the new things my daughter learning daily though the seedling curriculum. Between Spanish and ASL and now they added Yoga and Mindfulness in their curriculum what more can a parent ask for. They are even big within the community and recently donated to the Plainsboro library. During these trying times it's a piece of mind to know my daughter is in safe hands with the drop off taking place right in the front of the building with a staff member greeting you with a warm smile to a temperature check and hand sanitizer given to the children. Once they get to the classroom they wash their hands again and you can see how the teachers are cleaning though out the day and taking the right steps to keep everyone safe. So you can tell the teachers are very focused on the children's health and safety. Am one happy parents and I couldn't ask for more. I encourage any parent who looking for center to definitely check Lightbridge Academy of Plainsboro you will not be disappointed. read more
