The Learning Experience at Mansfield is, simply put, a wonderful place for a little person to be. As a teacher myself, when it came time to find a daycare for my daughter, I was not looking for just a place for her to be "looked after" while both my husband and I worked. Safety was the first priority, but so was enrichment, A setting where she would be challenged, and would continue to grow academically and socially. I wanted her to be engaged and challenged. TLE provides all that and more. Their child centered curriculum is motivating and fun for kids. Most importantly, it is kid appropriate. It includes technology based but also workbook centered and hands on experiences. They even added a musical component to their curriculum. Everything is taught with fun, relatable characters that continues to each grade level for a thematic approach. Also, this school is spotless. Every time I enter that school, it just smells clean. It is obvious that things are routinely sanitized. In times, like these, cleanliness is key. In each other the 3 rooms my daughter has been in, toys are organized and labeled. Everything has its place. As a bonus, my daughter is taught to always put away toys/activities when she is done playing. Also, the owner, Jo-Ann, the director, Amanda and the assistant director, Christina are just really wonderful people. They are kind, warm and welcoming. They are effective at not only making each family/child feel welcome, but also in running an organized, efficient school. Any and all of my questions are always addressed with patience and real solutions. The teachers there also have greatly influenced my daughter. Two in particular, Ms. Cheyenne and Ms. Olivia, really influenced her. She looked forward to seeing them because they truly took the time to not only make her feel special, but also to provide consistent guidance and educational support. Finally, TLE has a lot of philanthropic endeavors. They raise awareness about both health and social issues that effect our community as well as the world. From food drives, book collections, healthy heart awareness and even holiday gifts for families in need, this school teaches children to give back. This is a very important concept that both myself and my husband teach our daughter about. It is wonderful to have her school do the same. After all, in a world where you can be anything, we should really all be kind. I can not say enough nice things about the school and the actual company Itself. I looked at over 5 different daycares in our area before registering here. I did the random drop inns, asked the important questions and really observed what was going on before selecting a school. This is an awesome place for every parent to enroll their child. I started bringing my baby at 3 months and I must say the teacher cares for my child as if he is her own. I trust that he is in good hands each time I drop him. For the past 4 months he comes home smelling nice with a clean diaper. The teachers are very professional and friendly and always keep me updated on everything involving my child. It's truly a blessing to be able to drop your child off and not worry about them all day. So happy I made the best decision by choosing this school. read more

Tried it more than once. I don't want to generalize, but the staff we had to deal with didn't work out for us at all. None seemed to be interested in meeting our needs. Came in for a trial with toddler, the teachers didn't even introduce themselves. Neither did they say good bye. As we were exiting, the owner said "Bye". I would expect some interest "how did it go? / would you like to sign up or have more questions?" - NONE of that. so given other issues that happened during that 2 hour trial - not going to sign up with them. Best place for childcare and preschool in the area. The staff is very caring, supportive and very friendly.

My brother started at this school in the prepper classroom when he was 2 and he absolutely loved it. He loved the two teachers in there (still does) and he loves going to school. I can't speak highly enough about the management and staff. They are the best of the best. It truly shows how much they love and adore each child at the school. They are always there to help and answer any questions I may have. What I find most impressive is their structured curriculum. My brother knows more than I would expect at 4 years old. He can write his name, knows his numbers and his letters and is starting to read and write! His favorite part of the day is singing in circle time. I always hear the days and the months and now the states! He also loved the summer camp. I have also seen a huge improvement on his manners and cleaning up after himself. I am very sad that this is his last year here and I can't wait for my neice to start here next year! read more

We have two daughters (1 and 4 months and the other is 2 1/2 year old) attending TLE but we are seriously considering taking them out. We have many complaints about TLE Mansfield: (1) When we drop them off the kids are usually cling onto me crying. At first we thought they just needed time to adjust but it continued even after several weeks. (2) The teachers dump the snacks on the table that is visibly dirty. (3) During circle time, the teachers are chatting with each other leaving the children roaming around in the room crying, fighting, biting, or hitting. (4) There would be many times when one of our kids would come home with severe diaper rashes because of dirty diapers that the teachers clearly left unchanged for a long time. In consequence, we had to take many trips to her pediatrician and use various medicated and prescription diaper rash creams and ointments to address the issue. (5) When using the potty, we notice when boys urinate on the toilet standing so when girls go to use the toilet, there is still urine on the toilet seat but the teachers do not bother to make sure to clean it up. (6) On one occasion, I went to pick up the girls and one of them had a fever, but none of the teachers or staff made any mention of this so she was sick but they were neglectful to take notice. (7) There are a few older teachers who are wonderful and know how to deal with children, but then there are new teachers still being trained at the expense of our kids. This would not be a problem if they were properly trained but they clearly show disgust when dealing with the kids and are clearly incompetent and not qualified at handling children. (8) I question whether they give my children the lunch or snacks that we bring them because the same food we bring them comes back untouched and the kids come home starving even though they write in the daily reports what the kids eat. (9) When we tried to bring these issues to the TLE Director, she was very rude and not understanding at all. Her response was basically saying that if we don't like it, then take your kids out. I strongly advise parents to heed this warning and take your child elsewhere. AVOID THE LEARNING EXPERIENCE IN MANSFIELD / HACKETTSTOWN because your child will be much better off not going here. read more

I would recommend TLE. Manager is willing to work with parents and consider recommendations. Activities for children are well planned. And play room is clean. My daughter loves the ball pit. Nice outside area for play. read more

Infant room was great, toddler room horrible. Nothing but accidents and no one could tell us how they happened.

I pulled my daughter from their toddler class on the 2nd day. I stayed with my daughter for a while to adjust her to the class since she had a tough 1st day. I was indirectly told by the teachers through my daughter, "come on mommy has to go to work" even though I told them that it's fine. Well be aware that the cirriculum that they say they provide to your toddlers is untrue even the outside part. Circle time was the teachers sitting in the circle talking about their hari cuts and other people while the kids are walking and crying all over the class room. One teacher wiped a boys nose than washed her hands. The same hand towel she use to dryer her hands she wiped another kids nose. Another matter was the graham cracker snacks that have sugar on it. They don't break them up for the kids and they dump the pieces on the table. One teacher gave a toddler a regular yogart (per her parent's request), but instead of assisting the toddler with the yogart they allowed her to make a mess. My daughter was crying when I left the class and they attempted to calm her from crying, so I left the building to go to work. Something in my heart told me to turn back and get my child. I went back to the classroom and they placed my daughter on a mat to cry with a teddy bear at her feet. On teacher was at the window and another was changing pampers. What happened to the songs and classroom activities that would keep a toddlers attention? This place is a change and they only kids that would do good in a setting like this is 21/2 and up. Early age Toddlers are not self sufficient, and parents need to sneak up on locations like this to make sure their children are okay. They even told me that they have to take the kids outside 2 a day "state law" unless it's raining, snowing or below 0. WRONG!!! They take them out when they feel like it. On that day I saw them take the toddlers into another room to play. BEAWARE!! read more
