They also have the best ratio of any daycare, and the teachers in his room are warm, happy, and patient women. All the teachers in general smile and seem to enjoy their jobs. I have absolutely no concerns when he is there, and he gets very excited when I am dropping him off. The school is very well run, and the owner Jeff is always there and knows all the kids and families well. There's a big outdoor play area and playgrounds, a gym area with a ballpit our son loves, a library with tons of books, and it's a nice modern building. They do lots of fun learning activities with the kids like hatching baby chicks, butterflies, zumba, yoga, and music classes. Also the price is the same as every other local daycare, but way more services. We checked them all out and are fully convinced we made the best choice with Special Spot.

Do not enroll your kids in this daycare…read more I enrolled my son in this daycare few months ago and had a very terrible experience.The teachers in my son's classroom were very rude and irresponsible. There were two instances where I went to pick my son and found him in wet clothes. His teacher did not even bother to change his clothes (God knows for how long he was sitting in those wet clothes). I don't understand how come his teacher did not realize that he was sitting in wet clothes if I could figure it out in few seconds after seeing my son. When I asked the teacher why he was sitting in wet clothes she did not even care to apologize. In other few instances, I found my son's shoe laces untied and his teachers did not bother to help him tie the shoe laces. Also his teachers were so rude, at several instances I have noticed them screaming loudly at the kids. Thank god , I have recently enrolled my son in an another daycare. My son is loving his new school from the very first day and never wants to go back to the learning experience. This is the worst daycare I have even seen.

The curriculum is age-appropriate and focuses a lot on social skills which is so important at the preschool level. In addition, the preschool provides many additional activities such as lunch bunch and enrichment programs. An extra bonus is curbside service. The wonderful teachers will take the children out of the car at the start of school and put them back in at the end of school. Parents never need to leave their cars! My daughter is very shy and was hesitant to start school. After one day at the Gingham Giraffe Preschool, she could not wait to go back! She loved it so much that we decided to send her an additional day. My husband and I truly feel blessed to have our daughter in such an amazing preschool! The teacher show a genuine interest in the kids and really do love every single one of them. I was a first time mom and didn't know of another place that would be so close or affordable. I kept my daughter here, truly for the convenience of distance and price rate. However, many times I would have normal questions I would think a typical parent of a 1-2 year old can have and there were times they didn't have an answer for me. Sometimes they were not willing to accommodate our family needs, yet that's part of what they claim they stand for. Please understand that my daughter was always happy to go there because of her teachers. The teachers do the best they can, but they lack appropriate training and sometimes resources. My biggest issue was with management. From my personal experience, since I am a teacher myself and deal with parents and here management was never the most professional with me as a parent. It really hurt me that we felt pushed out. They wouldn't accommodate my schedule and didn't guarantee me a spot for my daughter. They said they would let me know in advance and never did, which led me to find another school and know about my options, because they wouldn't give me an answer. As far as academics is concerned, my daughter didn't learn much there. They would play all day, hence she was always happy to go. I never saw a real progress in her learning. The administration was never willing to accommodate a family who had already been there for 2 years. They didn't care about losing us and pushed us out. Another issue was that there was no one you can take formal concerns to. They were all extremely close at a personal level and I knew I would not be heard. I would only recommend this place for your child's care if you want them to play all day and you want good rates. But be aware if you are 5 minutes late, you will be charge per half hour. I have to be honest as I never felt my daughter was neglected or in danger, but definitely didn't get the best educational experience there. This place could be a better place for families around BR if they take a better business management approach, which they have lack of.

The facilities are impressive (nice welcome area, well organized classrooms and large outside playground). They often have 3rd parties come in and host special classes (music, gymnastics, etc) which the kids love. The owner is especially accommodating, accessible and responsive.
