The Goddard School of Randolph

The Goddard School of Randolph

My son have been with Goddard ever since he was 7 months old and he's now 15 months…read more It's just an extremely hard decision when it comes to child care, but Goddard stood out from all the places we visited. The infant room was the biggest infant room out of all the places we saw. And it was great that the sleeping area was set up separately from the play area so kids can actually sleep and not be disturbed by the babies that are playing. Teacher to kid ratio for infant room is 1:4, which is the basic across the board, but the teachers are the sweetest and our son loves them. They are constantly doing different activities (finger painting, drawing, stamps, stickers, reading, etc.) and themed days (PJ day, jeans day, bring your favorite book in, etc.) that the place is always so energetic. Ms Paula the music teacher also comes in everything Thursday and goes to every room to play songs and expose the kids to different instruments. The school uses the tadpole app to provide a report on daily activities (meals, naps, diaper changed, memorable events etc.) and pictures. It comes to our email when we pick him up and the end of the day. It's great because it tracks everything and we can look back onto reports and pictures from months back. Other schools still use the old paper system and we thought that's just a bit outdated.

My daughter started going to the Goddard School when she was 2 years old and is now 5 yrs old…read moregetting ready to graduate from the Pre-K class. Being a first time mom and fairly new to the Randolph area, my husband and I researched and toured every single preschool. As soon as I entered the Goddard School, I knew it was the right place for my daughter. I was immediately drawn to their state of the art fingerprint security system along with an outstanding curriculum, generous classroom space and a safe and immaculate, age appropriate playground. The school is warm and inviting. The halls are decked out with artwork and pictures of the faculty and students. The classrooms are bright, spacious, cheery and filled with countless educational tools and areas designed for pretend play, fine motor skill activities, reading, writing and listening centers and individual cubbies for the children. My daughter loves going to school everyday and I have seen a vast improvement in her social skills as well as her speech and language skills. She excels in math and science and can even read thanks to "sight words." She has learned quite a few Spanish words and knows a ton of sign language. As she enters kindergarten in September, there's no doubt in my mind that she is much better off to have gone to the Goddard School. I have grown extremely fond of all her teachers over the past 3 years. They have all been beyond helpful, extremely caring, sincere, nurturing, loving and exemplify what teaching is all about. The director, Miss Leigh Ann, is absolutely incredible. The knowledge she has and the willingness to help in any and every situation goes above and beyond her job title. If I ever have a care or concern, Miss Leigh Ann always puts my mind at ease. She is a true gem! Miss Daniele, the assistant director, is exceptionally friendly, efficient and professional. I know I can go to her with any question and she will have a solution. The owners, Miss Anne, Mr. John and Mr. Jonathan are always welcoming and pleasant. I can always rely on a smile whenever I see them. They run a tight ship and it feels as though we are all a part of one big, happy family. If you're looking for a fun, educational, loving and safe place to send your child, the Goddard School is it!! Erica A. Randolph, NJ

The learning experience in Ledgewood is filled with amazing, attentive and well educated teachers…read more Never have had a bad experience with this school and have had my son attending here for over a year. Karrah is a dedicated director of the school and always stays on top of meeting expectations and children's individual needs. I wouldn't recommend any other place to accommodate your children ! The circular and atmosphere for the children who attend this school is one of a kind. Highly recommend a tour as well.

Do not enroll your kids in this daycare…read more I enrolled my son in this daycare few months ago and had a very terrible experience. The teachers in my son's classroom were very rude and irresponsible. There were two instances where I went to pick my son and found him in wet clothes. His teacher did not even bother to change his clothes (God knows for how long he was sitting in those wet clothes). I don't understand how come his teacher did not realize that he was sitting in wet clothes if I could figure it out in few seconds after seeing my son. When I asked the teacher why he was sitting in wet clothes she did not even care to apologize. In other few instances, I found my son's shoe laces untied and his teachers did not bother to help him tie the shoe laces. Also his teachers were so rude, at several instances I have noticed them screaming loudly at the kids. Thank god , I have recently enrolled my son in an another daycare. My son is loving his new school from the very first day and never wants to go back to the learning experience. This is the worst daycare I have even seen.
