When the freeze time was over I was contacted to set up appointments. Again I tried to cancel then was hit with a cancel charge. The new manager and I went back and forth a few times over the phone She even apologized that the previous manager did not tell me about the contract cancel fee to which I replied "you're not doing anything to fix it or retain my business". Recently I received a call from a 3rd party collections. Yes, they sent me to collections after I politely asked to cancel multiple times. Be cautious dealing with them because they are much more interested in going after your money not improving your health.

Now that your signed up that's when the scam really starts. You'll be told that you have to go in a sign a cancellation form a month in advanced, but when you go in they never have a form available and then will try to push it off until next week and once you do its too late and then your'll get billed $500. If you decide not to pay for a service you been telling them you don't want expect to be sent to collections. It's mine blowing that a company has no control over their own billing or so they say. Another thing is if you pay in advance for a few session they will without hesitation tell you your sessions are expired within 30 days and collect your money and then have the audacity to tell you that it's because you wouldn't have seen any benefits anyway. I would avoid this place like the plague and look any where else.

Unless you have lots of free time during the day, finding an available appointment time can be challenging. Credits (4 per month) are use them or lose them. Like other reviews have said, this is a good way to throw away around $300 a month as you're at the mercy of their staffing or lack thereof. I'd prefer a model where you can buy credits and use them at your leisure. Cannot recommend based on current business practices.

Even though everyone was so kind, professional, and caring, I didn't plan on returning just because I didn't need to spend money for stretches I could do myself that didn't really help my situation. This is where the review changes. A couple of people reached out to me over email and bent over backwards to take care of me which was totally unexpected. It's been very humbling to see what real customer service looks like. I mean everyone shot it out of the park there. On the customer service and professional end, I can't rave enough. I needed to place a medical freeze and missed two months of sessions. During that time I was never notified that my flexologist left, nor was I reminded of cancellation policies upon the closing of my contract. There is also part of the contract that says you cannot cancel after a freeze, even if it was medically required--this forced me to spend more money than I had anticipated. To "help me out" they put me on a new agreement for a lower cost plan until my cancellation went through. I was told it would be a lower charge for ONE month and no further charges would occur. I was told the owner would call to discuss with me and she never did. I ended up getting a text from the owner saying she was never notified. When did call, she talked over me while I was trying to share my concerns. She confirmed that my contract was cancelled for the next month (March). She kept telling me that in my emailed agreement it stated there is a 30-day notification for cancellation, the attached photo is the policy included in the agreement email she is talking about. She did not acknowledge this when I read it to her over the phone. Overall, the lack of professionalism from the business owner was disappointing. I wasn't going to write this review until I was charged AGAIN even though I was told my contract was cancelled over the phone and via email.

During intake they took payment so I asked them to refund the funds and they requested that I call them for a refund or reschedule. I asked them again to refund as I could call later to reschedule, but I received no response. I had to contact my credit card company to dispute the charge as they hadn't responded or refunded the amount an hour later. They processed my payment while I was booking on the phone, and 4 hours later they've not refunded it. I find this to be an off putting business practice as I didn't receive the service due to their cancellation. I'd never go back as they have poor financial and customer service practices. I have been trying, unsuccessfully, to reach someone who is competent enough to help me with a cancellation, stopping payments after the cancellation, and now a refund for payments that were still processed. The level of service I've encountered--both at the club and corporate level--has been appalling. It's lacking in professionalism, empathy, and basic customer assistance, which you'd expect from a company with such a long-standing reputation. I've been a loyal supporter of Gold's Gym for years (my father was even a brand ambassador for Gold's in the 1980s), and I never thought I'd have such a negative experience. Unfortunately, after this ordeal, I will not be returning to any Gold's Gym and cannot, in good conscience, recommend it to anyone. I'm posting this in the hopes that someone at Gold's Gym will take responsibility and resolve this situation, as all other attempts to get assistance have failed. The other members are welcoming. It has been a great place to make some friends while getting fit! The workouts are hard but if you stick with it, you will reap the benefits. What sets this gym apart from the other Crossfit boxes is by far the way the gym is kept in pristine condition. The equipment available to members is kept in great condition. Everything is so organized and there is always enough dumbbells/kettlebells etc. for everyone. They also have an air conditioned kids room that has glass doors with some toys and a tv. This was what originally made me try out Mission because I needed to bring my daughter with me and I wanted a safe place for her. Do your body a favor and try Mission today!! :)
