She proceeded to scream at me over the phone about how it was rude to get a refund because someone spent time on my hair already. (um...WHAT?!?) she also told me that my hair would grow back and then she screamed that I was not a good fit for the salon when I had frequented for years to have Hannah color my hair (Hannah was the best and did not do this haircut). Avoid Shear Design at all costs. A word of advise to the owner, Jean - the managing director of the salon - should probably be put through SEVERAL customer service trainings. The hair washing was important as well, she got in in scalp and scrubbed. Some places it feels like they don't even get down to the scalp. They take their time and the styling was also important. Becky took her time to dry a section at a time and curl. I loved it. Shop is small but very cute. And what they may not have in the size of the shop they certainly have in skill. Her hair is so short she didn't need a root touch at all cause the color would have covered it. I was told that the stylist is what she is paying, for, she was a top tier stylist. They did not ask any additional questions nor was I offered a refund because clearly she was convinced she needed something she didn't. And look she is in her seventies and what it looks like to me is you took advantage. Had no problem. A coworker of mine had a similar experience where they charged $115 for a kid's haircut. Then one day I drove passed Shear Brilliance Salon on 611 and did some research on Google and Facebook. I saw many great reviews so I figured I would give them a call. The woman who answered the phone was extremely nice and made my appointment with Kaci. I am ALWAYS so nervous when it comes to going to new salons and having a new stylist do my hair, but when I walked in I felt very welcomed. Everyone there is so nice and they offer you water or coffee. They always ask if there is anything you need. Now, Kaci is the only stylist I will go to. She's awesome and does exactly what I want to my hair. I am picky, so when there is something I think needs to be fixed, she fixes it no problem! I would definitely recommend this salon!
